    of 56 Lewis St., Lockport, died
    at her home on Saturday after
    a short illness.
    Born Aug. 9. 1879, in the Town
    of Royalton, she was a daughter
    of August and Louise Riemer.
    Mrs. Brege lived in Lockport
    for the past 55 years. Her
    husband, William F. Brege, died
    in March, 1964. ,
    Mrs. Brege wa9 the oldest
    member of Trinity Lutheran
    Church at the time of her death.
    She was also preceded in
    death by a daughter, Mrs. Fred
    Norman.
    Mrs. Brege leaves three
    daughters, Miss Gladys W.
    Brege and Miss Esther A.
    Brege, both of Lockport, Mrs.
    LaVern (Violet) Koske of
    Roswell, N.M.; three granddaughters
    and a grandson, Mrs.
    Green B. Williams Jr., Mrs.
    Charles E. Nelson, the Rev.
    Thomas R. Koske and the Mass
    Rebecca R. Koske. Also surviving
    are six great grandchildren
    and several nieces and
    nephews.

    MRS. AUGUSTA R. BRUNING.
    MIDDLEPORT. March 15. - Mrs. Augusta Riemer Bruning, 69, wife of Henry F. Bruning, died Tuesday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Schilling, west of the village. She is survived by six daughters and three sons, Mrs. Fred Schilling of Middleport, William Frederick and Mrs. Howard Sterns of Lockport, Mrs. Charles Laatsch, Mrs. John Kroning, Mrs. Clarence Reabold and Siefred Bruning of Wolcottsville, Erving and Ferdinand Bruning of Albion and 14 grandchildren and four brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Bruning was born in Germany, coming to Wolcottsville when she was 18 years old where she has since resided. The funeral is being held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 in Trinity Lutheran church, Wolcottsville, with burial in Wolcottsville cemetery, the Rev. Herman Ewald officiating.

    WOLCOTTSVILLE, March 17 - The funeral of the late Mrs. Henry Bruning was held on Thursday afternoon at the Trinity Lutheran church and was largelv attended. Mrs. Bruning died on Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Shilling of Middleport. She left besides her husband three sons. Edwin, Ferdinand and Siefred Bruning; six daughters. Mrs. Fred Shilling. Mrs. Charles Laatch. Mrs. John Kroenning, Mrs. Clarence Reabolt. Mrs. William Frederick, Mrs. Howard Sterns; four brothers. Paul, Max, Amila and Charles Reimer, and two sisters. Mrs William Landon and Mrs. William Brege, Mrs. Bruning had been ill for some time. She died at the age of 69 years. Burial took place at the Wolcottsville cemetery, and the Rev. H. A. Ewald officiated.

    (Riemer) Bruning. He lived in Lockport
    for several years and was
    retired from Harrison Radiator. She
    was a member of the UAW Retirees
    Association.
    She had been married to Clarence
    J. Reabold, who died in 1969.
    Survivors include one daughter,
    Mrs. "George (Betty) Peterson of
    Lockport; one grandson, George
    (Betty) Peterson of Lockport; one
    grandson, George (Frances)
    Peterson of Pendleton; two greatgrandsons,
    Travis and Brent
    Peterson, both of Pendleton; one

    Riemer, and lived most of her life in
    Wolcottsville. She married Willis A.
    Tryloff on Nov. K), 1927, who survives
    her.
    Mrs. Tryloff was a member of St.
    Michael's Lutheran Church, its
    Ladies Aid Society, and was a charter
    member of die Wolcottsville Fire
    Department Auxiliary.

    MIDDLEPORT — Edward P. Tryloff, of Middleport, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010 at his home. Mr. Tryloff was born in the Town of Royalton on September 10, 1934, son of the late Willis and Selma (Riemer) Tryloff and he has lived in this area all of his life.

    Mr. Tryloff served in the US Army from 1957-1959 in Germany. He was employed in the maintenance department at Birds Eye Frozen Foods in Avon, NY. Mr. Tryloff was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lockport and was a member of the Men's Club of the Church. He was also a member of the German-American Social Club, the Wolcottsville and Terry's Corners Exempt Firemen. Mr. Tryloff enjoyed his family.

    He is survived by four children, Douglas (De'siree) Tryloff of Beaver Creek, Ohio, Deborah (Douglas) Huntington of Gasport, Donna (Mark) VanderBosch of Barker and Daniel (Kelly) Tryloff of Gasport; five grandchildren, Nathan Huntington of Medina, Alida Tryloff and Jared Tryloff, both of Beaver Creek, Ohio, Hanna Tryloff and Hunter Tryloff, both of Gasport; two great-grandchildren, Dakoda Huntington and Lillyjean Huntington, both of Medina; brother of the late Mildred Freh and Clarice Berner; and a very dear friend, Nila Weaver.

    A 17-year-old Middleport youth, Robert Schilling, of the Telegraph Road, was drowned early Monday evening while swimming in Mirror Lake, Gasport, within sight of a lifeguard and many others seeking relief from the intense summer's heat He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Schilling.
    The boy's body was recovered within four or five minutes. Artificial respiration was continued by bathers and Gasport Volunteer Firemen for one and one-half hours.
    Mirror Lake is a private lake owned by Arthur Shaeffer of Gasport. After an autopsy performed this morning at Lockport City Hospital,Dr. Walter Altbach of Newfane.coroner, issued a verdict of death by accidental drowning. He ordered the autopsy because be felt there was a possibility the swimmer might have suffered a heart attack. No evidence to support this theory was found.Gary Resseguie, 16, of Chestnut Ridge Road, Gasport. told the coroner that he and young Schilling were swimming together. They dove from a raft together and started for shore about 75 feet away. .When he reached the shore,the Resseguie boy said he looked back and saw too Schilling youth struggling to the water and feebly calling for help.Gary said he started back to help Robert but the boy slipped from his grasp. He was quickly joined by Charles Enztona, 125Garden St., lifeguard, and Robert Price. 460 High St., another bather.Mr. Pries quickly located the Schiilling boy and brought him to the shore where artificial respiration was immediately started. The Gasport Fire Company was called and responded with a respirator.Sgt. John Ginty and Sheriff's Deputies Raymond Townsend and Charles Sanibrd were called but their services were not needed. The Schilling boy was a junior at Royalton - Hartland Central School, .where he was a student councl representative and member of the cross country track team. He was a member of the Audio-Visual Club and of St. Pater's Lutheran Church, Medina.Besides his parents, be leaves a sister, Suzanne, at home; his grandparents.     He was born in the Town of Barre, August 3, 1936, a son of Louie and Alma (Brunning) Starkweather. Norm was a lifelong resident of Albion and graduated from Albion High School. He joined the US Army in 1955 and served for two years, including a tour in Italy. Norm enjoyed riding his motorcycle, telling a story about his motorcycle mishap, telling jokes, (even some corny ones), being funny and watching his westerns. Norm worked for Rice Homes for several years. He owned and operated Starkweather Construction until he retired in 2005. He sure could drive that bulldozer.


    Norm is predeceased by his father and mother, Louie and Alma Starkweather, his first wife, Marcia Thaine Starkweather, his granddaughter, Brandy Starkweather and step daughter, Patricia Stahl.


    Norm is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Wright) Starkweather; sons, Doug Starkweather and Jeff Starkweather; step daughter, Jacqueline (Joseph) Vasquez; grandchildren, Michael (Laura) Starkweather, Mitchell Starkweather, Morgan Haak; great grandchildren, Lily, Leah, and Madden Starkweather.


    Friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Tuesday at 1PM at the Free Methodist Church, 25 S. Platt St., Albion. Interment will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery.

    Larry was born on May 17, 1957 in Medina, NY to parents H. Gaylard Hill and Gladys (Bruning) Hill. He graduated from Medina High School in 1975. He married Michele R. Boyle in 1982.
    Larry was an accomplished mechanic who started his career at Lisle and Ricker working on International Harvester farm equipment. Shortly after Lisle and Ricker closed, Larry took on a full-time position at Keeler Construction in Albion, where he dedicated himself for the next 45 years.
    He was a devoted husband and father who loved his family and friends. He would often be found at home or on a farm wrenching away on equipment. He was passionate about helping others whenever he could. On Sundays, Larry and Michele loved having breakfast out at the local restaurants. Afterwards, Larry loved to drive around and tour the countryside looking at equipment and taking note of everything that had changed. He was very knowledgeable about many topics, always having a thought or an answer when in discussion. He was known to be able to recite the extended genealogy of practically any family. 
    Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Michele Hill; and son, Christopher G. (Katie J. (Graton)) Hill; two grandchildren, Byron G. Hill and Joshua J. Hill. He is also survived by his sister, Judy. He is preceded in death by his parents, H. Gaylard and Gladys Hill.
    Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 1 from 4-8PM at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 10AM in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
    In lieu of flowers, the family greatly appreciates any contributions in Larry’s memory to be made to the Medina FFA, 1 Mustang Drive, Medina, NY 14103, for a scholarship fund to be set up in his memory.

Camping in the summer in the Southern Tier brought her so much peace and the only thing she loved more was her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

    Middleport: Bonnie Jean (Bruning) Quackenbush, age 54, passed away unexpectedly at her home on November 23, 2022. She was born August 6, 1968 in Medina to Robert and Shirley (Chase) Bruning.
