The ,death of Walter Cross occurred
at his home on Maple Ridge
Friday afternoon of pneumonia. He
is survived by his wife and three
daughters, Mrs. Albert Brege, Mrs.
George Brege and Miss Fern Cross
a t home, two brothers, Fred of Maple
Ridge, George of Upwood, England.
The funeral was held at the house
Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment
at Millville.

PHELPS - Donald E. Brege,
55, of 6 Batavia Ave., Medina,
died yesterday in Millard
Fillmore Hospital, Buffalo, after
a long illness.. He was the
brother of Claude Brege of
Phelps.
Funeral arrangements are
under the direction of the
Barnes-Tuttle Funeral Home in
Medina.
A native of Barre,, he moved
to Medina four years ago,, after
living in Knowesville over 20
years. During World War II he
was employed by the Curtiss-
Wright Co. in Buffalo. He had
been employed for the past 23
years by the Food Machinery
Co. in Middleport.
Surviving are his widow,
Helen La Plante Brege; three
sons, David in the Air Force,
James in the Army and Donald
Jr., of Buffalo; four daughters,
Mrs. Zola Blicki, Mrs.. Betty
Nowak,, Mrs. Donna Haight ad
Mrs. Marie O'Dell, all of
Albion; his father, Albert W.
Brege of Medina; three
brothers, Howard of Raleigh,
N.C., Claude of Phelps and
Robert of Plemington, N.J. and
19 grandchildren.

Donald married LAPLANTE, Helen A on 4 May 1934 in Indian Falls, Genesee County, NY. Helen (daughter of LAPLANTE, Percy) was born on 1 Dec 1914; died on 28 Jan 2007 in Medina, Orleans County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

PHELPS -Claude A. Brege, 64,
of Victor, formerly of Melvin Hill
Road, Phelps, died Sunday (Nov.
1) at Cortland Memorial Hospital.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and
7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Dewey
Funeral Home, 81 E. Main St.
The military service will be at
2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the
funeral home with the Rev. Gary
Hakes of the United Church of
Phelps officiating. The Waterloo
VFW Post will give military honors.
Burial will be in Rest Haven
Cemetery, Phelps.
Mr. Brege served as a sergeant
with the Army Engineers in World
War ll in the Pacific Theater in
Okinawa. He was a member of the
Waterloo VFW Pest and the AFL
Local 85 Carpenters Union of
Rochester for 40 years.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothea;
three daughters, Karen Brege of
Tonawanda, Anita and Kathleen
Brege, both of East Rochester; two
sons, William of Derby, N.Y., and
Scott of Phelps; two grandchildren;
one brother, Harry of Martinez,
Ca.; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions
may be made to the
School of the Holy Childhood of
Rochester or Victor-Farm ington
Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

MIDDLEPORT - Deloris
M. Kimmich of 7 Washington
St, Middleport, died Thursday
at Medina Memorial Hospital
following a long illness.
She was born Feb. 14,1921 in
Medina, the daughter of
George and Mildred (Cross)
Brege. She was an insurance
clerk for Charles Slack
Insurance of Medina, and had
lived in Middleport for several
years. She was a member of
the First Baptist Church of
Medina. Her husband Louis
Kimmich, died in 1973.
Mrs. Kimmich is survived by
three daughters, Mrs. William
(Janice) Balzer of Erie, Pa.,
Mrs. John (Judy) Keeley of
Lockport, Mrs. James (Jean)
Klippel of Warren, Ohio; one
grandson, Karl Balzer, and one
granddaughter, Allison
Klippel; three brothers,
George Brege of Spencerport,
Irlevere Brege and Bruce
Brege, both of Middleport, and
several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling
hours. A memorial service will
be held Saturday, 10 a.m. at
the First Baptist Church,
Medina.

Kevin Lynn Brege, 19, of Melvin Hill,
who was kitted in an automobile accident
on Rt 88 Saturday evening, will
be at 3:30 p. m. Tuesday from the Dewey
Funeral Home of Phelps. The Rev.
Robert Lucas, pastor of the First United
Methodist Church of Phelps, will officiate
and burial will be in Resthaven
Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home
from 2-4 p. m. and 7-9 p. m. Monday.
Kevin attended Phelps Central School
and was employed by Wegman Food
Markets in Rochester.
He is survived by his mother and
father, Claude and Dorothea Brignall
Brege at home; two brothers, William of
Buffalo and Scott at home; three
sisters: Karen of Buffalo, Anita of
Morrisvitte College and Kathleen at
home; a paternal grandfather, Albert
Brege of Medina, and several aunts and
uncles.
