SANBORN, March 20.-Mrs. Augusta (sic), F. Werth died at her home, Town Line road, today. She was 74 years old. Mrs. Werth as the wife of August C. Werth. Besides the husband, she is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Rudolph Schultz, of Sanborn. Mrs. Julius Greiner (sic) and Mrs. Benjamin Schulz, both of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Paul Plaster and Mrs. Fred Schultz, both of Niagara Falls; three sisters. Mrs. Henry Werth, and Miss Henrietta Goerss, both of Sanborn, and Mrs. Albert Klemer, of North Tonawanda, and 11 grandchildren.
The funeral will be held from the family home on Sunday, March 22, at 2 p. m., and at 2:30 from St. Andrew's church at Pekin. Interment will be in Pekin cemetery. The Rev. Christian A. Schmidt will officiate. Mrs. Werth was a daughter of the late Justine Praker and John Goerss and was born in Bergholtz. She had resided in the Town Line road for over 20 years.

WILSON - Funeral services were conducted today for William R. Beutel, 65, of 4728 Chestnut St, this community, who died Saturday (July 2, 1966) at Lockport Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for two day. Mr. Beutel was born July 17, 1906, in North Tonawanda, the son of August and Louise Praker Beutel. He was married April 11, 1931 to Gladys Maacks Beutel, who survives. He had operated a farm at the Chestnut Street address. Mr. Beutel was a member of St Peter's Lutheran Church at North Ridge, a former trustee and Sunday School teacher of the church and a former member of the Board of Christian Education. He was an exempt member of the South Wilson Fire Co. Besides his widow, he is survived by a son, Donald K. Beutel, this community; a daughter, Mrs. Myrlin (Shirley) Hall, Edgerton, Wis.; a sister, Mrs: Elwin (Hilda) Ahrens, Lockport, and seven grandchildren. Mr. Beutel also was the brother of the late Mrs. Mabel Goldpenny and Mrs. Gertrude Schuman. Rev. Jeanette S. (Schuman) Kroening, age 88 of Upper Mountain Road, Town of Cambria, went home to be with her Lord on May 1, 2013 while at the Niagara Hospice House, Lockport. Born on August 20, 1924 in Wilson, NY, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Gertrude (Beutel) Schuman. Jeanette was the wife of the late Herbert E. Kroening, who entered into rest on January 29, 2001. They were united in marriage on May 27, 1950.
Jeanette was a 1941 graduate of Wilson High School, and the Kelley Business Institute, in 1942. Her employment included The Dobby Foundry, E.I. DuPont Company, and Bell Aircraft Corp. She was very active in the local 4-H Club, winning many trips and awards. Jeanette was also a member of the local Cambria Homemakers, a social member of the Harrison Retirees Travel Club, The Welch Cooperative, and the Dale Association. Jeanette was confirmed on October 5, 1947 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wilson, and presently a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Pekin. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, knitting, playing Bingo and shared great comfort in being with family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen (Gary) Kemble and Bonnie (Robert) Glenn, both of Lockport; a son, Randy (Rosemary) Kroening of Wilson; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends; including her faithful companion, Milford C. Scharlau.
Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME (731-3234), 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Saturday from 7-9 PM and on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. WILSON - Donald K. Beutel, age 72, of Wilson, died Thursday, September 8, 2011, unexpectedly. Born July 27, 1939, he was the son of the late William R. and Gladys E. Beutel. He attended St. Peter's Lutheran School and was a 1957 graduate of Wilson High School. Donald also had additional schooling at Coyne Electrical School in Chicago. He worked for the Erie Barge Canal for 30 years as a Lock and Bridge Operator from which he retired. Donald repaired televisions and electronic devices and, along with his family, owned and operated Beutel Greenhouses. A former member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, he was a member of Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church of which he was a Deacon. Donald was very instrumental in the addition of the front and back of the church. A former member of South Wilson Fire Company he loved people, plants, farming and greenhouses. He enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing and was the kindest, nicest man in the world. Donald married Ruth Martha Dobberstien in 1958; she predeceased him in February of 2007. Also predeceasing him was a grandson, Jason Hibbard in 1997. He married Sandra Irene Gregory July 12, 2008. BARRINGTON, IL — Dorothy Elizabeth (Plaster) Strasburg was born in Niagara Falls, NY to Paul and Ella (Werth) Plaster on March 26, 1920, and went to heaven on August 6, 2012. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Niagara Falls. On June 5, 1942, she married James Strasburg. They had three children: Suzy (Steve) Hartman (Sioux Falls, SD), Steve (Debbie) Strasburg (Ann Arbor, MI), and Cindy (John) Koeneman (Inverness, IL). Also blessing her life are eight grandchildren: Steph (Mark) Boyens, Sara (Nathan) Unruh, Andrew, James and Rebecca Strasburg; David (Stephanie), Jeffrey and Michael Koeneman; and six great-grandchildren: Gabrielle, Lincoln and Alexa Unruh; and Connor, Kate and Davis Boyens.

Dot enjoyed life to the fullest and was an avid golfer. She loved her Savior and was always involved in her churches' Bible studies, choir and serving opportunities. She was a founding member of Escarpment Lutheran Church (Lewiston, NY), and a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran (Barrington, IL), Redeemer Lutheran (Peoria, IL), and Immanuel Lutheran (Palatine, IL).

Spring 1947, he transferred to the NY National Guard and drilledat the Armory on Main Street. After his discharge from the National Guard, Wallygraduated from the Detroit College of Traffic Management and worked at Autolitewhere he met, then married the love of his life, Margaret Jean MacAllister.Following Autolite, he worked in the traffic departments at Hooker Chemical andThe Upson Company in Lockport. While at Upson, Wally was hired part-timeby Franklin Traffic Service (FTS) in Sanborn. After Upson closed he worked at FTS full time. Where he retired after working for many years. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran church in Niagara Falls. Wally enjoyed hunting with his family. In his later years if he shot a deer, over the two-way radio he’d say, “Boys I have work for you, but first, bring me a sandwich and beer”. He and Jean spent summers with family and friends at their homes in Saranac Lake and later on Lake Ontario. In his retirement Wally enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing and a few weeklong fishing trips in Canada. He will be dearly missed but his legacy continues through his family.

She co-founded the Niagara Falls chapter in 1970 to serve meals to the elderly, working out of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and Zion Lutheran Church.
Born in Niagara Falls, she attended Niagara Falls High School.
She was a past board member of several volunteer agencies. In 1981, she received the Heart of Gold Award from the Gannett Foundation for her community service.
Mrs. Schultz was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Church, where she was active in the choir, Women of the Church and other activities.
Survivors include a son, John, and a brother, Robert F.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1920 18th Street at Cleveland Avenue.

Born on July 21,1922 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frederick G. and Hilda M. (Werth) Schultz. On May 29, 1946 she married Edward J. Schultz. He predeceased her in 1989. Mrs. Schultz was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. In 1970, Betty founded Meals on Wheels in Niagara Falls, NY where she served as Executive Director for many years. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was active in choir, Women of the Church, and other activities. Mrs. Schultz held board positions on the boards of many volunteer agencies: Betty received several awards for her volunteer service, including the "Heart of Gold" Award for community service in 1981. Janice Ruth Voelker, age 61 of Ransomville, died unexpectedly on Thursday August 17, 2017 at the Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport.
 
Janice was born July 18, 1956 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of the late Glenwood J. and Margaret (Goldpenny) Moeller. A lifelong resident, she was a 1974 graduate of Wilson High School. Janice was employed as an office clerk by Franklin Global Strategies in Wheatfield. She was a very active member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church at North Ridge where she married Philip D. Voelker on July 26, 1986. Janice taught Sunday School and was a member of the choir. She was a member of the Pioneer Association of Volunteers and had a lifelong involvement with "Camp Pioneer" in Angola. Janice also was a member of the Women's Missionary League.
 
Philip predeceased her on October 4, 2012. She is survived by two brothers, Tim (Judi) Moeller of North Tonawanda and Daniel Moeller of Johnson City, TN; and a Goddaughter, Allisa Smith.

in the U.S. Air Force from 1976 until March 4, 1984. Ron was predeceased by his parents, his daughter Moriah from his first marriage, his in-laws, Reverend Lawrence and Betty Herfurth, and his brother in-law, John Elzer. Ron married Jane Herfurth on October 5, 1986. They adopted their loving adopted daughter from Guatemala, Katelyn Suzanne, at the age of 8 months in July 1993. Ron is survived by wife, Jane, daughter Katelyn (and Jeff) Pantano (and granddog Nugget), sister Barbara (Joe) Elzer Michno, sister Linda Gullo, brother-in-law John Herfurth and several nieces and nephews; Dena, Kim, Jeff, Samantha, Jenna, Lucietta, Dominic, Tony, Deanna, Katharine and Mark. Ron was so looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild this summer. Ron was employed as a Quality Engineer at various local companies, beginning at Trico and retiring from Caplugs. Ron loved most sports, especially football. He played football while in the Air Force. He also enjoyed camping, boating, golfing and fishing. Friends were always welcome to stop by for a campfire. Traveling with family and friends gave him great enjoyment, along with his Harley and 63 Harley T-shirts that he bought throughout his travels.
