The death of Mrs. Flora Britt Noon,
wife of Martin B. Noon of Medina,
occurred Friday morning at the family
home in Medina, following a long illness.
Mrs. Noon was the daughter of Curtlss
and Loretta Britt and was born In
Cattauraugus county on August 31,
1850. She was united in marriage in
January 1901 to Martin B. Noon.
Besides her husband, she leaves one
sister, Mrs. Mary Pratt of Albion; one
brother, Bruce B. Britt of Medina and
several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon
from her late home with Interment
at Mt. Albion cemetery

Mrs. John Pratt, the former Mary
Britt and long-time local resident,
died Friday at the home of a daugh-
ter, Mrs Herbert James, on W. Park
St. The funeral rites were held
Monday afternoon in the James
home, with burial at Mt. Albion
Cemetery.
Mrs. Pratt was 87 years old. She
belonged to the Pullman Memoriall
Universalist Church. She also leaves
a son, J. Howard Pratt of Gaines; a
brother, Bruce Britt, Medina, and
four grandchildren.

a veteran of World War I and

meat markets here and on Long
Bridge Rd., died Monday in
Medina Memorial Hospital after

resident of Orleans County.
He was a member of Lincoln
Post of Veterans of Foreign

He is survived by his wife,

Paul J. Britt, 82, of 55 Lakewood
Village, died suddenly Sunday
morning at his residence.
He was born July 6, 1903 in the
Town of Ridgeway, to the late Bruce
and Kate (Britt) Britt. He had lived
in the Medina area all of his life.
He was the mechanic's foreman
for Anderson Motors in Medina for
many years, leaving in 1946 to run
his own service station on South
Main Street, until he became
Orleans County's first dog warden.
He then became a school bus driver
and mechanic for the Medina School
System retiring around 1965.
His first wife, Mildred Russell,
died in 1953.
His second wife, Grace Schultz,
died in 1976.
He was a member of the Senior
Citizens of Western Orleans Inc., an
honorary member of the VFW of
Medina, a mem^ r of the Odd
Fellows of Medina, and his hobbies
included hunting, fishing and gardening.
Survivors include three
daughters, Mrs. Milton (Kathleen)
Houghtaling of Pheonixville, Pa.,
Mrs. Donald (Virginia) My hill of
Medina, Nola B. Holman of Medina;
seven grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren,
and several nieces
and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by two
sisters and three brothers.
There will be no prior visitation.
Private memorial services will be
held at the convenience of the
family.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant
Cemetery, West Shelby.
Memorial gifts may be made to

charity of one's choice.

Warren B. Martin, 68, of 7407
Alvarado Rd., La Mesa, Calif.,
formerly of Medina, died Monday at
Buffalo General Hospital, after a
long illness. He was born Jan. 8,1916
in Medina, to the late Charles E. and
Ethel (Britt) Martin. He has lived
for the past 22 years in the San
Diego, Calif, area. Prior to moving
to California, he had lived most of
his life in Medina where he operated
his own optical business.
In California he worked as an
optician until forced to retire due to
ill health. He was a member of the
San Diego Presbyterian Church and
a former member of the Medina
Lions Club and the United
Presbyterian Church of Medina. In
the last few years he had enjoyed
square dancing and playing the
accordian.
Survivors include three daughters
and two sons, the Rev. Mary E.
Martin of Hartland, Mrs. Allen
(Rachel) LaShire of West Virginia,
Ms. Carol McDonald of Rochester,
David (Joanne) Martin of Gananda,
N.Y., Michael (DeAnn) Taylor of
Graham, Wash.; 17 grandchildren;

Claudia B. Kujawa, nee Britt, of Medina, passed away on January 27, 2017 at Strong Memorial Hospital after a valiant fight with cancer.

Claudia was born in Medina, June 19, 1941, the only child of Claude Seth and Ruth Pearl (Swab) Britt. She graduated salutatorian from Albion High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from the University of Buffalo.

From 1963-65, Claudia worked at Cornell Aeronautical Laboratories, a contractor for NASA. She was employed as a Manager in Telecommunications by Eastman Kodak Company from 1966-92. Having been outsourced, she took an early retirement from Eastman Kodak Company to raise Andrea, her late in-life child. She was a single parent, a loving and nurturing mother. She was a member of Pi Mu Epsilon Fraternity, National Honorary Mathematics Fraternity.

Claudia volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader, at Towne Elementary School, and at a local food bank. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, travel, reading, crossword puzzles, gambling and spending time with friends. She was a member of the Middleport and Johnson Creek Senior Citizens groups.

Survivors include her daughter, Andrea; several nieces and nephews including Joseph (Barbara) Kujawa. She was predeceased by Andrea’s father, James Kujawa.

A graveside committal service will be held in the spring at the Britt family plot in Millville Cemetery where she will be interred with her parents.

Memorials may be made to any local animal shelters, Hospice of Orleans County or Knights-Kaderli Memorial Fund.
