Carolina Gauda
Mrs. Carolina Gauda, 62 years old, a resident of North Tonawanda for 32 years, died at the Elmwood avenue hospital in Buffalo on Thursday night. The body was brought to the home of the deceased's son, Albert Gauda at No. 222 Fredericka street, Gratwick. Four sons, Albert, Charles and Christian Gauda of North Tonawanda and Richard Gauda of Lockport and two daughters, Mrs. August Fisher of North Tonawanda and Mrs,. Judson Kulp of Cobalt, Canada, survive. The funeral will be held at the Gauda home, on Fredericka street tomorrow afternoon, the Rev. F. Westerman officiating. Burial will be in the Tonawanda city cemetery.

Albert Gaude, 62 years old, died today at his home, 226 Fredericks street, after a lingering illness.Born in Germany, he had resided in North Tonawanda since coming to America as a child. He was a member of Lumber City Tent. No.93, K. of M., the St. Johnshurg Sick and Benefit Association, and the St. Paul's Lutheran church on East Felton street.Surviving are a wife, Minnie;three stepsons, John, Arthur and George Butler; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Edward Hahn, all of the Tonawandas; three brothers, Charles and Christ, North Tonawanda, and Richard, Newfane; a sister, Mrs. J.C Culp, Palmyra; 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence and half an hour later at the St. Paul's church. Rev. Rudolph Grabau will conduct the services.

MRS BERTHA FISHER
Mrs. Bertha Fisher, 55 years old, wife of the late August Fisher died suddenly at her home, 174 Fredericka street, this morning She had been ailing some time, but her condition was not regarded as serious. She is survived by five sons, Walter C. Benjamin, William and Norman Fisher, all of the Tonawandas, and Charles Culp of Rochester; a daughter, Mrs. Earl Cummings of North Tonawanda; four brothers, Richard Gaude of Newfane and Albert. Charles and Christ Gaude of the Tonawandas, and a sister, Mrs. Jude Culp of Rochester. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the residence, Rev. Harry Depfer officiating. Charles C. Gauda, 78, passed away suddenly Saturday in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Bernard Swisher, 10 W. Park Court, Grand Island. Born in Mewegen, Germany, he resided in the Twin Cities for 70 years. He is survived by five sons, Edward N., Syracuse, Howard and Charles Jr., North Tonawanda, Eugene and Robert of Tonawanda; three daughters, Mrs. LeRoy Zaggel, Mrs. William Habschied of North Tonawanda and Mrs. Bernard Swisher, Grand Island; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Christopher, Tonawanda and Richard, Lockport; a sister, Mrs. G. Gaude. 78, a retired farmer who died Tuesday at his home. 48 North Main St.. after along illness, will be held tomorrow at 3:30 at Immsnuel Lutheran Church, Ridgewood. Burial will be in Wright's Comers Cemetery Mr. Gaude was bom May 32,1877 in .Germany. He came to this country at the age of 3 with his parents, John and Caroline Gaude, He lived in this vicinity for 38 years and In the Village of Newfane for four years. Mr. and Mrs. Gaude celebrated their 80th wedding annlversarv March 23,1953. Besides his Wife, Hulda Allstein Gaude, he is survived by three sons three daughters, Richard, Roger. Clifford A. "Pike" Gauda 83 of Newfane, NY husband of Audrey (Fox) Gauda entered into rest at home on Friday October 6, 2017. Born in North Tonawanda on August 28, 1934 to the late Howard and Marion Gauda. Pike served in the U.S Navy from 1952-1956. He was a long time member of the Masonic Lodge and the American Legion belonging for 65 years. Pike retired from Chemical Leaman after 25 years. After a brief retirement her joined Ridge Road Express working for 12 year. He enjoyed speding time with his growing family. Surviving is his loving wife of 64 years, Audrey; a son Randy; His granddaughters Destinee (Matt) Henderson, Katie and Bailey; four great granchildren William, Bentley, Kellan and Maggie. Also surviving are his sister in-laws Glady Oddo and Carol (Al) Schnider and dear friend Michele Meli. FIRE-LeRoy Fire, infant
son of Robert A. and Mable Zag-
gel Fire, 360 Tremont St., North
Tonawanda, died Friday (Jan.
31, 1964) at Kenmore Mercy
Hospital shortly after birth. Be-
sides his parents, he is survived
by three brothers, Guy, David
and Daniel; five sisters, Mrs.
David Fahmer, Mrs. Scott But-
let and the Misses Marie, Gen-
evieve and Jacqueline Fire, all
of North Tonawanda, and his
grandparents, Guy Fire and Mr.
and Mrs. LeRoy Zaggel, also of
North Tonawanda. A mass of the
Angels was celebrated this morn-
ing at 9 o'clock in Ascension
Church. The Rev. Francis J.
Hunt officiated. Burial was in

Gary Robert Gauda, 13, of
7303 Chestnut Ridge Road,
Town of Lockport, was killed at
5:30 p.m. Thursday when he
was struck by a car while riding
his bicycle near his home.
The bdy, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Howard A. Gauda, was pronounced
dead on arrival at
Lockport Memorial Hospital.
Niagara County Sheriff's Deputies
Edward Fusco and Paul
Baronich reported the driver of
the car was Douglas G. Kelkenberg,
18, of 9126 Hofert Road,
Gasport.
They said that the Kelkenberg
youth told them he was eastbound
on Chestnut Ridge Road,
saw the boy riding his bicycle
in the same direction and pullled
a little to the left to give the
boy plenty of room. However,
the motorist said the boy pulled
right, into the path of the car,
and he was unable to avoid
striking him.
Deputies said the boy's body
struck the windshield of the
car.
When the deputies arrived
Robert Lewis, 17, of 7310 Chestnut
Ridge Road, was administering
mouth - to - mouth resuscitation
to the boy. He is the
son of Dr. and Mrs. R. W. Lewis.
The fatality was the 26th this
year on rural Niagara County
Roads compared to 19 for the
c00|isame period in 1967. The total
fatality list for 1967 was 23.
Gary was born Dec. 27, 1954
in Konmore. His mother is the
former Patricia Machaby.
Before moving to the Chestnut
Ridge address this year,
the family resided on West
Creek Road, Town of Pendleton,
where Gary attended Starpoint
Central School. He entered
eighth grade this month at
North Park Junior High School.
Besides his parents, he is survived
by a brother, Scott Gauda,
at home; his grandparents,
Mrs. Earl Blanchard of Piercefield,
Mrs. Arthur Voelker of
Lavigne, Ont., and Howard Gauda
of Lockport.
