North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 5/19/1948

Andrew Broniszewski, who
dropped dead in the office of a
physician at 212 Linwood Ave.,
Buffalo, yesterday morning, was
a resident of 56 14th Ave., North
Tonawanda. He had gone to the
office for treatment when he
suffered a stroke and died immediately.
At the Erie County Morgue,
where the body was taken before
being brought to the Pawenski
Mortuary at 679 Oliver St.,
the announcement was made this
morning that the victim died of
natural causes.
Mr. Broniszewski was born in
Poland and had lived in North
Tonawanda for 35 years. He was
employed by the Buffalo Bolt
Company. He was a member of
Local 319, UE., CIO., and of the
OLC Church. He was a former
member of Dom Polski and the
Orioles.
He is survived by his widow;
five daughters', a son and four
grandchildren, all of North Tonawanda,
five brothers and two
sisters, residents of Poland.

sisters in Poland and four grandchildren.
Rites will be held at
9:30 a.m. Friday from the residence
and at 10 a.m. from the
OLC Church. The Rev. Michael
Walek will officiate and burial
will be in Mt. Olivet.

KASTELAN - Helen Natalie (nee Broniszewski) Age 85, of North Tonawanda, passed away peacefully Friday, May 20, 2016. Helen was the wife of the late Stanley Kastelan and daughter of the late Andrew and Bessie (nee Gawrychowski) Broniszewski. She was predeceased by her sisters Veronica (Edward) Wojnarowski, Josephine (Leonard) Wokoske, Leocadia (Roman) Wasieczko and Stella (Joseph) Osypiewski. She is survived by her brother Walter (Gail) Broniszewski and several nieces and nephews. Helen was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa parish. Helen loved her family and was often the care giver for family members. While she did not have children of her own, she cherished her nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 3:00-7:00 PM at Colucci Funeral Home, 652 Oliver Street, North Tonawanda 692-4917. Obituary for Walter L Broniszewski
Walter L. Broniszewski passed away peacefully at home in North Tonawanda where he was a lifelong resident. Loving father to Michael, Karen West, Kathleen Dill, Christal and his rescue dog Maggie.
The last of his generation, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Gail (Anderson) as well as his parents, Andrew and Bessie Broniszewski and his sisters Veronica (Eddie) Wojnarowski, Josephine (Leonard) Wokoske, Lilian (Ray) Waszieczko, Stella (Joe) Osypiewski, and Helen (Stanley) Kastelan. Proud papa to Ferris (Jessica), Shawn, Sarah, Regan, Maddie, Gavin, Maya, Erin, and Zac. Great grandpa to Anders with another one on the way. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Walter served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959 as a cook and a lifeguard. He was exempt from serving in Korea because he was the only son of a widow with 5 daughters. He was once an employee of the Alan Herschell Carousel Company and retired as a machinist from Broda Machine.
Wally was also an exempt volunteer fireman from Gratwick Hose Co. and an active member of First United Methodist Church where he served as an usher and all-around handyman. He enjoyed the outdoors with hunting and fishing, boating, camping and gardening as favorite activities. Indoors he enjoyed carpentry and finished the wood trim in the family home.
Arrangements are through Wattengel Funeral Home. A service and celebration of life will be held at the family’s convenience later in the year. Memorial contributions in Walter’s name can be made to Niagara Hospice, the SPCA, or any charity of your choice.

LOCKPORT — George Wasieczko, 55, of North Tonawanda, entered into rest on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Niagara Hospice. Born July 1, 1955 in North Tonawanda to the late Roman and Leocadia (nee Broniszewski). George was a member of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church and he was a shop technician at Praxair in Niagara Falls.

Beloved husband of Deborah (nee Allen); dear father of Stacey, Amy (Matthew) Bretherton and Raymond; brother of Paul (Paula), Theresa (Thomas) Karkau and Ann (Steven) Heuer; uncle of Sandra (Michael) Coffta, Andrew Karkau and three great-nieces; also survived by his parents-in-law, Joan (Robert) McCarty; sister-in-law, Tracy (Gary) DeGregorio) Montie; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
