    Mrs. Gertrude J. Browning, nee
    Keller, 47, died at the DeGraff
    Memorial hospital after a brief illness
    last night. She was born in
    Kenmore and was a resident of
    the Tonawandas for about 25
    years. She is survived by one
    daughter, Janet; two sons, Sergt,
    Charles L. of Camp Monroe, Fla.
    and James of Tonawanda; her
    mother, Mr. Louise Keller of Kenmore,
    three sisters, Mrs. Vincent
    Owens and Mrs. George Henel of
    the Town of Tonawanda and Mrs.
    Eloise Mclntee of Kenmore; four
    brothers, Leo Keller of Buffalo
    and Raymond, Cletus and Edwin
    of Kenmore. She was a member of
    the Ladies Auxiliary of the Amer
    ican Legion. The funeral will be
    Thursday at 8:30 a.m. from the
    family home, 254 Kohler stsreet
    and from St. Francis church with
    Msgr. John a Weismantel officiat-
    ing. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet.

    Age 98 of the City of Tonawanda, February 28, 2023 at her residence under the care of Hospice. Wife of 64 years to the late Lloyd J. Long who died in 2012, Loving mother of Deborah L. (Richard) Jaeger and the late Victoria Ann Keidel, also her four legged companions Ginger, Puddy and Buddy. Also several nieces and nephews. Janet was a 1943 graduate of Tonawanda High School. She was a Life Member of Tonawanda's Unit 264 American Legion Auxiliary, a Life Member of the Historical Society of the Tonawandas and a former member of DeGraff Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Janet had been employed as a Sales Manager for W.T. Grant Dept. Store, Kahn's New York Store and Aldo's Men's Shop, all located in Tonawanda. It was Janet's request that there be no visitation or funeral service. A private burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.     KEIDEL - Victoria Ann Age 66, of Tonawanda, NY and Placida, FL, passed away on April 2, 2018, in Englewood, FL. She was born on September 7, 1951, in Tonawanda, to Janet B. and Lloyd Long. Vickie was diagnosed with kidney disease in the late 1980s, had a transplant in the early 1990s which failed, then had another successful transplant in 1996. After she was able to return to work in early 1997, she became the Executive Director of the National Kidney Foundation of Western New York, where she provided education and direction to those in western New York suffering from kidney disease, until 2003. Vickie then worked for the National Kidney Foundation of North Florida where she provided similar assistance to the kidney community of Orlando, Florida. She was a member of the National Reigning Horse Association and a past President of the Cape Haze Women's Club. Vickie is survived by her mother, Janet B. Long of Tonawanda, NY; a sister, Deborah (Richard) Jaeger of North Tonawanda, NY; her significant other, E. Timothy Danahy, III of Placida, FL and her kidney donor mother, Darlene Amyerich. She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Long, who passed away in 2013. Services are private. Farley Funeral Home in North Port, Florida is handling the arrangements.
