    W. Charles Kirk, 69, of 817
    Ninth St. died Monday (July
    26, 1965) at home after a short
    illness. He was a retired expediter
    for the Carborundum
    Co., retiring in 1961, after 47
    years service.
    Born in this city, he was assistant
    secretary of the Retired
    Men's Service Club; and
    volunteer worker for the
    American 'Red Cross and
    Easter Seals Campaign. Mr.
    Kirk was a member of the 20
    Year Bonded Abrasives Club
    of Carborundum; a former
    "manager of the year" in the
    501 Bowling League; and a
    member of the First Presbyterian
    Church.
    Survivors include his wife,
    Mrs. Margurite Buckle Kirk;
    two sons, Boyne K. Kirk and
    Hobart J. Kirk, both of this
    city; and a daughter, Mrs.
    Robert G. (Betty) Green,
    Youngstown. A son, George
    B. Kirk, was killed in Europe
    during World War II and another
    son, William C. Kirk
    Jr., died in 1952. He is also
    survived by a daughter-inlaw,
    Mrs. Grace Kirk, Newfane.
    Two brothers, James H.
    Kirk, and a sister, Miss Elizabeth
    L. Kirk, this city, also
    survive, along with 14 grand*
    children.
    Funeral services will be
    held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at
    the Gridley Funeral Home
    with Rev. John D. Shackelford,
    associate pastor of First
    Presbyterian Church, officiating.

    Life story

    Sally A. (Kirk) Baker, 71, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on January 3, 2020.  Born on November 26, 1948 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Hobart J. And Margaret K. (Pauline) Kirk.  On March 20, 1971, she married her neighbor while growing up, Eric J. Baker.  He predeceased her on December 28, 1998.

    Sally was a lifelong area resident, attended local schools and graduated from the former Madonna High School in 1966.  Sally later earned her Bachelors Degree in Library Science.  She was employed as a librarian, working for various libraries. Sally was an active member and communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Parish, where she worshiped at the Prince of Peace site and enjoyed knitting.

    Sally is survived by siblings, Terri Smith, Marguerite Kirk, Mary Sue Harris and Charles Kirk; an aunt, Judy Noworyta; brother and sister-in laws, Keith (Marlene) Baker, Linda Baker, Martha Baker and Maggie (late Roger) Baker; several nieces, nephews and cousins and foreign exchange students, who she thought of as children, Raf and Nomfundo.

    Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY.  Sally’s Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, January 6th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Prince of Peace Church, 1055 N. Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. ALL ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Private committal prayers and entombment will be held in Riverdale Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the care of Michael R.     Life Story

    Marguerite Harriet Kirk was born on December 18, 1953 in Wyandotte MI, to the late Hobart and Margaret Kirk, the 3rd of 5 siblings. 

     
    Marguerite graduated from Lasalle Senior High School in 1971. 
    She was a devout Catholic and served as a Church School Teacher, Eucharistic Minister and Lector. One of her favorite hobbies was making Rosary beads.  Marguerite also loved bingo, reading, sewing and spending time with her family and friends. In her younger years, she loved attending horse races and OTB with her dad, even though she said she never got to cash in a ticket.  Marguerite worked for the former Jenss Department Store and the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles in Niagara County. Upon retirement, she began a new career as "grandma daycare.” Marguerite often said that her grandchildren were the loves of her life.

     
    Marguerite is survived by her children, Amy (Alan) Feidt, Nicholas (Rachael) Monin and Gregory (Jessica ) Monin as well as 4 
    grandchildren, Conrad and Carter Feidt, and Liam and Fiona Monin. She is also survived by her aunt, Judy Noworyta; her sister, Mary Sue Harris and brother, Charles Kirk, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. In addition, she is survived by her former husband, William Monin and former in-laws, Larry (Laura) Monin, Frank (Margaret) Monin and Kathy (late Paul) Drebitko and family friends, Gloria and Vernon Sedore, Stacey (Ryan) Willard and their daughter, Charlotte. Besides her parents, Marguerite was predeceased by her sisters, Sally Baker and Theresa Smith and a family friend, Jessica Sedore.

     
    The family will be present on Sunday, from 4-8 p.m., at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007).  Marguerite’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 3rd, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, St. Leo Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY.
