He was born 10 February 1912 in Louisville, Illinois the son of Ernest W. and Augusta Becker Budde. He married Georgianna James in 1933. She died in 1965. He married Evalyn Bertha Ziegler in 1966.

    He was a retired carpenter and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Altamont, Illinois.

    Surviving are his wife, Evalyn Budde; sons, William T. Budde, Decatur, Illinois; Robert A. Budde, Ray A. Budde, Richard E. Budde and Kenneth E. Budde all of Georgia; daughters, Ruth Ann Smith, Ayden, North Carolina; Margaret (Louis) Hall, Decatur, Illinois; Betty (John) Devore, Altamont, Illinois; sisters, Cornelia Greene, Suwanna, Georgia; Gertrude Durheim, and Frances Davis, both of Altamont, Illinois. 34 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 14 step-great-grandchildren.

    Services were at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Altamont, Illinois.

    Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont, Illinois was in charge of the services.
