    TONAWANDA — Ardys (nee Miller) Hamm, age 88, formerly of Grand Island, died Sunday, August 26, 2012. Born in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Ina (nee Fullington) Miller. Ardys was employed as a clerk at Parson's Drug Store, Eckerd Drugs and Rite Aid Pharmacy before retiring. She was the wife of the late Frederick K. Hamm, who died in 1987; mother of the late Roger F. Hamm; grandmother of the late Eric F. Hamm-Johnson; and sister of the late Carol Eberle, Richard Miller, Donald Miller and Merle Miller.

    She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Donald) Hamm-Johnson; three sons, Merle (Marinna) Hamm, Frederick (Gail) Hamm and Jeffrey (Janice) Hamm; ten grandchildren, Eric, Sarah, Kaitlyn and James Hamm, Jennifer Wagner, Krista (David) Stryker, Matthew (Peggy) Hamm-Johnson, Susan and Donald (Sandra) Johnson and Linda (Donald) Shultz; four sisters, Melva Budnik, Nina Miller, Joyce Wankasky and Betty Miller; and three brothers, Rolland Miller, Michael Miller and Ronald Miller. Also surviving are 14 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and dear friends, and her much loved cat, Callie.

    Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held at 10 AM Friday. Friends invited. Interment at Elmlawn Cemetery.

    THE TONAWANDAS —
    Joyce (nee Miller) Wankasky, age 86, of Rochelle, Illinois, formerly of the Tonawandas, died on Wednesday, April 17, 2013. Born in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Ina (nee Fullington) Miller and had been a resident of the Tonawandas for the greater part of her life. Mrs. Wankasky was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had cared for many foster children. She was the wife of the late Marlin P. Wankasky, who died in 1998; and mother of the late Tracey W. Wankasky.
    She is survived by her daughter, Karen (James) Stewart; two sons, David (Leeann) Wankasky and Jonathan Wankasky; four foster children, Leona, Jeffrey, Linda and Louise; three sisters, Melva Budnik, Nina Miller and Betty Miller; and three brothers, Rolland Miller, Michael Miller and Ronald Miller. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call from 6-8 PM on Sunday at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Monday. Friends invited. Interment at Acacia Park Cemetery. If desired, memorials to the Alzheimer's Association are preferred.

Merle had been a laboratory technician at Life Technology on Grand Island, before becoming ill.

    He was the husband of Marinna (nee MacKellar) Hamm of Tonawanda; father of Jennifer (John Gralla, Jr.) Wagoner and James Hamm; brother of Nancy (Donald) Hamm-Johnson, Fred (Gail) Hamm and Jeff (Janice) Hamm; grandfather of Nicole (Brandon Vanich) Hamm and Ashley Wagoner; and great-grandfather of Anikin and Yunaleska Vanich. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

    Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-7:30 PM on Saturday at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held at 7:30 PM Saturday; Don Hamm-Johnson officiating. Friends invited. Inurnment will be cared for privately at Elmlawn Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda. If desired, memorials to The Michael J. Fox Foundation, P.O.     NORTH TONAWANDA — Tracey W. Wankasky, age 51, formerly of North Tonawanda, died in Dekalb, IL, after a long illness.Tracey was a member of Ascension R.C. Church and owned and operated Duratub with his son Joshua, in North Tonawanda. Tracey was a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. He was the house magician for the Riviera Theater where he produced "Hocus Pocus" 1,2 and 3. Tracey was an avid hunter and belonged to the Tonawanda Sportsman's Club. He was also a member of the Eye Opener Group in Clarence. As a U.S. Navy Veteran, he served from 1979 through 1982.

    Son of the late Marlin P. Wankasky.

    Beloved son of Joyce E. (nee Miller) Wankasky formerly of North Tonawanda. Dear husband of Linda S. (nee Keleher) Wankasky. Loving father of Jacob R. Wankasky, Joshua A. Wankasky, Jordan L. Wankasky and Jessica L. Wankasky, all of North Tonawanda. Brother of David (LeAnn) Wankasky, John Wankasky, Karen (James) Stewart and Leona Chatt. Proud grandfather of Madelyn G. and Liam A. Wankasky. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

    Friends received by the family on Friday 6-9 PM at the Brunner Funeral Home (692-3841), 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda. Funeral services will be on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM at Acacia Park Cemetery Chapel.
