(Dec. 8, 1973) at his residence. A lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, he was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, a 50-year member of Sutherland Lodge No. 828, F&AM, and was formerly employed at . Columbus McKinnon Chain Corp. He is survived by his wife, Alice Belling Salefske; a daughter, Mrs. Charles E. Burtch; two brothers, Charles and Harold Salefske, all of North Tonawanda. Funeral services were held this morning at 10:30 a.m., at the Wattengel Funeral Home. Inc., the Rev. Howard F Cramer Jr. officiating. Burial was in Friedens Cemetery.

Burtch (nee Salefske) of North Tonawanda, age 93, passed away suddenly Friday, July 5, 2013, at the Erie County Medical Center. Mrs. Burtch was born April 3, 1920 in North Tonawanda, daughter of the late William Charles and Alice (nee Belling) Salefske. Helen attended local school and graduated from North Tonawanda High School. She went on to graduate from Buffalo State Teachers College. Mrs. Burtch was a member of Salem United Church of Christ and its Women's Group. She had been an active member of Friedens UCC Choir and Bell Choir. Helen enjoyed traveling with her late husband and gardening. Beloved wife of the late Charles E. Burtch, who passed away in 1995. Sister-in-law of Fred (late Marie) Burtch; aunt of John (Bettie) and Tom (Nancy) Burtch; also survived by several cousins. Friends may call THURSDAY 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the WATTENGEL Funeral Home, 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held FRIDAY at 10:30 AM, the Rev. Jeremy Lopez officiating.
