    Anthony V. Giannone, 76, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at his home peacefully. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Carmella (Fantauzzo) Giannone; and the beloved husband of the late Linda S. (Kitcho) Giannone, whom he married on February 25, 1969.
    Anthony was a graduate of Trott Vocation High School and earned his degree from Kelly’s Business School. On August 21, 1967, he proudly joined the United States Army during the Vietnam War and served as a heavy truck driver. Upon his honorable discharge in 1969, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Sharpshooter Badge.
    For the past 36 years, Anthony was a dedicated employee of Helmel Engineering Products, Inc. in Niagara Falls. During the 1980s, he owned and operated the former Mr. G’s Pizza on Lockport Road, alongside his wife.
    Anthony was a faithful member of The Way Church of God in Sanborn, NY. An avid golfer, bowler and sports enthusiast, he was a passionate fan of the Buffalo Bills, New York Mets and Buffalo Sabres. He also loved hunting, fishing, and was a longtime member of the NRA.
    He was proud to have coached his son Scott’s Midtown baseball team and lead them to a championship in the early 80's, as well as coaching his son Vincent’s roller hockey teams across Western New York and Canada for several years.
    In addition to coaching, Anthony loved playing baseball, and was extremely thrilled to play with his two sons in local men’s leagues at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Base, Reservoir Park and the Amherst Pepsi Center. 
    Anthony was also an original member, and owner of ‘The Mustangs’ in the Niagara Fantasy Football League, which originated in 1992 with his family and friends.  Above all, Anthony cherished the time spent with his beloved family, especially his grandchildren.
    Anthony was sadly predeceased by his wife, Linda on October 14, 2022. He is survived by his sons, Scott A. Giannone and Vincent A. Giannone; grandchildren, Anthony S. Giannone, Neyla P. Giannone, Noelle C. Giannone and Sasha M. Giannone; his beloved dog, Hazel; two siblings, Rose (late Basil) Hayes and Sarah Giannone; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
    In addition to his wife and parents, he was also predeceased by his siblings, Jennie ‘Judgie’ (late John) Alferi, Carmela ‘Connie’ (Marion ‘Bill’ ‘Farmer’) Bresko, Frances (Steven) Jamgochian- Giannone, Antoinette (late James) Vance and Florence (late Roger) Monfort.
    Visitation will be on Friday, December 22 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at The Way Church of God, 2334 Lockport Rd, Sanborn, NY 14132. Interment and Military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Lewiston, NY.     Carmela ‘Connie’ B. Bresko, 85 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Niagara Hospice House. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo ‘Vincent’ and Carmella (Fantauzzo) Giannone. 

    Carmela was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. On November 8, 1952, she married Marion ‘Bill’ ‘Farmer’ Bresko in Niagara Falls, NY. During the 1950’s Connie was employed with Walkers Laundry in Niagara Falls. In 1962, Connie along with her husband Bill opened the Pizza Oven which has served the Niagara Falls area for the past 56 years.

    Carmela loved traveling, bowling, ceramics and outdoor activities. She also faithfully made the garments for the Infant Jesus of Prague Statutes in various churches in the area. Above all she enjoyed spending time with family.

    In addition to her husband, Carmela is survived by her children, Joseph Bresko, Darlene (Bresko) Richards and Vincent J. Bresko; her grandchildren Deanna, Joseph, Jr., Kerry Ann, Marion, Amy, Angela, Elyse, Vincent and William Robert; ten great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson; siblings Rosemary Hayes, Sarah Giannone and Anthony Giannone as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Carmela was predeceased by four sisters, Florence Monfort, Antoinette Vance, Jennie Alfiere and Frances Jamgocian.

    Visitation will be on Saturday, March 31st from 9:30 – 10:30 A.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, where funeral services will begin at 10:30 A.M., followed by the Liturgy of the Word with Christian Burial at 11 A.M. in St. Vincent De Paul Parish at St. Leo’s Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice.

    Sarah F. Giannone, 81, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on February 4, 2024 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Carmella (Fantauzzo) Giannone.
    Sarah attended Niagara Falls High School.   She was employed as the Head Housekeeper at the Summit Inn, as well as at the Best Western Inn on the River in the same capacity.  Most recently, she was employed with the Niagara Falls Board of Education as a Child Care Associate until her retirement.  
    In her younger years, Sarah enjoyed the outdoors and camping.  She was a member of the 3F Club, and enjoyed boating, and waterskiing.  She also enjoyed roller-skating, going to drag races, and was a member of a local CB radio club where she was known as “Sadie Hawk”.  She was also a skilled archer, and was the Women’s New York State Champion.  In her later years, she enjoyed ceramics, Scrabble and Yatzee, playing bingo, completing jigsaw puzzles, and crocheting.  Sarah will be remembered most for her love of her family and her generosity, and was always willing to help whomever was in need.
    Sarah is survived by her daughter, Robin (Walter Jr.) Nichols; her grandchildren, Ariane Nichols, Savannah Nichols, and Serena Nichols; her great-granddaughter, Olivia McGilveary; her sister, Rosemary (late Basil) Hayes, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her siblings, Anthony (late Linda) Giannone, Florence (late Roger) Monfort, Antoinette (late James) Vance, Jennie (late John) Alfiere, Frances Jamgochian, and Carmela ‘Connie’ (Bill ‘Farmer’) Bresko.
    Sarah’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 10 at 12 PM at St. John de LaSalle Church, 8477 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.  Private interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, https://givenow.lls.org/.  Arrangements by M.J.     Steven M. Jamgochian, 57, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of Steven Jamgochian (Loretta) Jamgochian of Florida and the late Frances (Giannone) Jamgochian.

    Steven was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. He was the owner and operator of a local painting and landscaping. Steve was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills. He also enjoyed hunting and was a fabulous cook. Steve will especially be remembered for his great sense of humor and contagious laugh that was loved and appreciated by everyone who knew him.

    Steven is survived by his wife of twenty-four years, Margaret R. (Sansone) Jamgochian, two sons Steven P. Jamgochian and Dominic M. Jamgochian; one sister Debbie (John R.) Signorelli; his dog Bella and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

    Visitation will be on Friday from 4 – 7 p.m. at the M.J.     Joe was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls. He was an avid bowler and excellent pool player, and also loved to play baseball. He was also a gifted swimmer and diver.
    Joe loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping. He was also a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous for many years.
    Above all, Joe enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren.
    In addition to his father, Joe is survived by his children, Joseph Bresko, Marion Bresko, Amy Bresko, Angela (Carmine Bianco) London and Elyse (Robert) Gallant; his grandchildren, Kaelyn Leo, Luca Bianco, Valentino Bianco, Logan Conlan, Niko Gallant, Marion Bresco, Jr. and Maranda Guarino; his siblings, Darlene Bresko and Vincent Bresko; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
