Prior to working for Modern Corp., Donald was driving truck for several years for Anchor Motor Freight in Niagara Falls. After he retired from Modern he worked part time for 10 years for PARCO Builders in Newfane. Donald was hardworking and loved to help people. He also enjoyed camping. On July 18, 1970, he married Ruth (Sutherland) Buttery. Ruth predeceased him on January 29, 2007.He is survived by a son, Daniel (Valerie) Buttery of Lewiston; a daughter, Debra Ross of Peoria, AZ; a step-son, George (Darcy) Perry of Ransomville; his grandchildren, Jason (Michelle) Buttery of Youngstown, Briana Kislack and Daniel Buttery, both of Lewiston, and Tracey Ann (Derrick) Dutson of Peoria, AZ; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Lerrona) Buttery of St. Catharines, Ontario; two sisters, Loretta Canfield of Youngstown and Mary Furnace of Lewiston. He was predeceased by a son, Donald A. Notes: Mary E (Buttery) Furnace, 91, of Appleton, NY passed peacefully at home on May 14, 2024.Mary was born in Lewiston, NY, the eighth of ten children to the late Frank H. and Grace A. (Nickerson) Buttery, on May 11, 1933. She attended school in Youngstown and was one of the first to walk across the stage at Lewiston Porter High School when she graduated in 1952. She married the late Lee W. Furnace on May 16, 1964. She worked as a meat wrapper at Acme Markets in Niagara Falls, ran the Country Kernal Restaurant in Youngstown for several years, and worked as a dietary aide at Old Lady of Peace in Lewiston for several years before retiring in April of 2010. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and rooting for her Josh and the Buffalo Bills.She will be remembered for being our beloved Mama, Nana, and G-Nana, always being there for us, her strength in difficult times, her amazing potato salad and deviled eggs, and her beautiful blue eyes.Mary is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Lee Rohring (Kevin Kennedy) of Appleton and Pamela Mary Levering of Newfane. She was Nana to four grandsons Cody Rohring (Sabrina Fuller) of Newfane, Jesse Rohring (Jessica) of Barker, Marshall Rohring (Kate Mazurkiewicz) of Appleton, and Dylan Rohring (Cassi Mauk) of Appleton, and two granddaughters Lauren Smith (Sam) of Rochester and Alissa Zwelling of Newfane; G-Nana to five great-grandchildren Tyler, Jayden, Eli, Jameson, RJ, and Ryleigh. She is also survived by a step-daughter Cheryl (David) Wilkins of Wilson, several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a brother Robert (Leronna) Buttery of St. Catharines, ONT, several nieces and nephews, and several wonderful friends including Eileen Yarussi and Pat Zahno.Besides her parents and her husband, she was also Nana to and preceded in death by a grandson Lee Johnson, a step-son Stephen (Shirley) Furnace, four brothers Wilbur, Lewis, John and Donald Buttery, and four sisters Mildred (Crewe), Ruth (Myers), Loretta (Canfield) and Jeanette (Mattoon).A private service was held at Hardison Funeral Home on Friday, May 17th at 11:00. Burial followed at North Ridge Cemetery, Lockport, NY. Linda, was born April 27, 1948, in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late William H. and Mildred (Buttery) Crewe. Her parents lived in the Barracks housing at Fort Niagara at the time of her birth and she has resided in Niagara County all of her life. On April 27, 1968 she married her husband Robert R. St. Cyr Sr. in Niagara Falls, NY and they made their home in the Porter area, celebrating their 47th year of marriage in April of this year. Linda had attended public schools in both the Lewiston Porter Central & Niagara Falls City School Districts. As a child she worked for several farmers in the area including the Nichols Farm on Route 104, picking fruits along with her parents and after her marriage, with her husband & son. She had also been employed as a Cleaner at the former Fairchild Manor Nursing Home in Lewiston. Upon becoming disabled Linda had attended the Dukes Center on Hyde Park & the Guild Care on Pine Avenue. She loved doing all types of handicraft work. Linda loved being with her family especially her great granddaughter, Faith. She also loved her daily phone talks with her sister Alice and looked forward to seeing her brother Ken ride his moped over to visit with her in good weather. Linda was an avid Bingo player and loved to go fishing with her husband and son. Survivors include her husband Robert "Goober" Roy St Cyr Sr.; her son, Robert Roy (Marcia) St Cyr Jr.; two grandchildren, Robert R. St. Cyr, 3rd & Crystal D.
