  1. 1.  KELKENBERG, Nora B was born about 1941 in Akron, Erie County, NY; died on 20 Feb 2019 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY.

    Notes:

    Nora B. Converso, 78, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2019 at Schoellkopf Health Center.  Born in Akron, NY, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Blanche (Cummings) Kelkenberg. Nora was raised in Akron and attended local schools, graduating from Randolph Central High School in Randolph, NY.  She married Santo J. Converso on January 16th, 1965.  Mr. Converso predeceased her in 1992.  Nora loved going to outdoor concerts, especially country shows.  In addition, she enjoyed going to bingo, watching game shows, solving crossword puzzles, and cooking.  She adored her cats, Simba and Marcy-Lynn.  Most of all, Nora’s life centered around her family, and she enjoyed nurturing her grandchildren, who affectionately referred to her as Big Grandma and Grandma Nora. Nora is survived by her children, Kevin Converso, Angela (Kevin) Wiler, Jerry Converso, Ken (Andrea) Converso, and Daniel (Cheryl) Herrington; grandchildren, Douglas, Dakota, Lindsey, Christie, Bryan, Tiffany, Tyler, Nicholas, Justin, Robert and Ryan, great-grandchildren, Kiana and Nick, as well as several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, Nora was predeceased by her daughter Marcia (late Robert, Sr.) Rea, and her siblings, Betsy Kelkenberg, Elmer (late Jean) Kelkenberg, and Richard (Emily) Kelkenberg. There will be no prior visitation.  Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Pioneer Cemetery, Akron, NY.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to David’s Path of Niagara Hospice, 621 10th Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14302.  Arrangements by M.J.
