    Richard L. Poyfair, age 65, of Scottsville, New York , died Saturday, March 28, 2020 at his residence, after a long illness. Born June 15, 1954 in Lockport, New York, he was the son of the late Rae and Mary (nee Buri) Poyfair, and was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. A resident of Scottsville for the past 17 years, he had been a software engineer at Mindex Paychex in Rochester, before becoming ill. Richard was a member of the American Legion Post No. 1330 in Chili and the Giant Schnauzer Club of America.
    He was the beloved husband of Janine (nee Wodo) Poyfair; loving father of Kelly A. Poyfair, Heather (Dave) Miller, and Erin (Jess) Present; grandfather of Paige and Noah Pangrazio, and Alexis Poyfair; and brother of Kevin Poyfair, Sandra (Patrick) Caton, and the late Charles Poyfair. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
    There is no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date and location to be announced. If desired, memorials to UR Medicine Home Care Hospice, 2180 Empire Blvd., Webster, NY 14580, or the Wilmot Cancer Center, 601 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY 14642, are preferred by the family.
