Mrs. Mary Runde, 61 years old, died yesterday afternoon at her home, 218 Miller street, after an illness of six weeks with heart disease. Born in Germany, Mrs. Runde had lived in the Tonawandas for the past 42 years. She is survived by her husband, William Runde; two sons, William Jr., and Edwin, North Tonawanda; four sisters, Mrs. Ernestine Krull and Mrs. Emma Andrees North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Louise Krupp arid Mrs. Margaret Paldouski, Germany, and four brothers, Christ and Fred Schultz, North Tonawanda, and Otto and Emil Schultz, Germany. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence and half an hour later at the Frieden's church. Rev. Theodore Mayer will conduct the services and burial will be in St. Matthew's cemetery.

at her home after a prolonged illness. Born in Germany, she had resided in
North Tonawanda the past 25 years, coming here from St. Johnsburg after the
death of her husband, William. She is survived by two daughters, Miss
Gertrude Krull of North Tonawanda and Mrs. Eleonora Olcott of North
Tonawanda; three sons, Arnold and Edward of North Tonawanda and William of

KRULL - William C. Krull, 75, of 2874 Niagara Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda,
suddenly Tuesday (May 25, 1971) in the Veterans Hospital, Buffalo. Mr.
Krull was a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield, proprietor and
owner of Krull's Inn for 38 years. He served with the U. S. Army from 1917
to 1919, and was a member of the American Legion Post 264. One of the
original founders of the St. Johnsburg Fire Co., he was a lifelong member of
St. John Lutheran Church.
Mr. Krull is survived by his wife, Esther (nee Schulmeister) Krull; one
daughter, Mrs. Wilfred Humphries of North Tonawanda; three sons, William,
Harold and Melvin Krull, all of North Tonawanda; ten grandchildren, five
great-grandchildren; he was the father-in-law of the late Arnold E. Martin.
Mr. Krull is also survived by one brother, Mr. Edward Krull, and two
sisters, Miss Gertrude Krull and Mrs. Jared Tiffany, all of the Tonawandas.

William C. Andrees, 100, a retired employee of the Wurlitzer Co. and a charter member of the Adams Fire Company and the Volunteer Fireman's Benevolent Association, died Friday (Dec. 17, 1999) in the Niagara Lutheran Home in Buffalo after a brief illness.
He was born in Wheatfield, where he worked on his parents' farm and attended St. John Lutheran School.
For 42 years, he worked at the former Wurlitzer Co. in North Tonawanda as a lumber handler and as an assistant supervisor. He retired in 1965.
Andrees was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church and a member of the Wheatfield Senior Citizens.
His wife, the former Florence M. Heschke, died in 1985.
Survivors include two sons, Edward W. of North Tonawanda and William A.; a daughter, VA Lemke of North Tonawanda; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. John Lutheran Church, Ward Road and Niagara Falls Boulevard. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery.

Beloved husband of Harriet (Rankin) Krull. Father of Cynthia (Charles) Battaglia of North Tonawanda, Gloria (Michael) Schauger of Biloxi, MS, June Peresich of Saucier, MS and the late Rita Winas. Step-father of Donna (LeGrand) Licht of North Tonawanda, Bill (Late Lydia) Rankin of Cambria and Carol (Bill) McGranahan of North Tonawanda. Grandfather of 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. BATAVIA — Neil E. Krull, age 79, of the Town of Hamburg, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at the Batavia VA Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. Born in North Tonawanda, NY, he was the son of the late Edward and Irene (Haseley) Krull. Mr. Krull was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He had been a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda for many years, and was known for his ministry of delivering tapes of Sunday sermon messages to church shut-ins. He also had been a past President of the Residence Council at Brompton Heights.

He is survived by two children, Sandra (Mark) Flanigan of the Town of Pendleton and Daniel (Susan) Krull of Niagara Falls, NY; five grandchildren, Mark Jr., Stacy and Stephanie Flanigan, and Alexis and Abigail Krull; his former wife, Barbara (Robert) Thomson; two sisters, Phyllis Phillips of North Tonawanda and Ellen "Bunny" Eberwein of the City of Tonawanda; and a brother, Roger (Linda) Krull of North Tonawanda.

Family will be present on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.), City of Tonawanda. NORTH TONAWANDA - Patricia L. Woods, formerly of Niagara Falls, died on Sunday, March 2, 2014 in DeGraff Skilled Nursing Facility. She was 69. She was born in North Tonawanda on June 27, 1944, the daughter of the late Erwin and Mildred (Schoenfeld) Krull.

Mrs. Woods worked in the Gilmore School Cafeteria and as a tray girl at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. A member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Patricia enjoyed hunting and fishing. She was a member of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) as well.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Jerry A. Jason was predeceased by his mother Linda (Heaps) Krull who died in 2016.

Laura was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in NT. Laura was the owner of Whitney-Warner Marketing and was active in the paint and caulk industries. Her friends will remember her fondly for having a love of nature and of all living things. She was passionate about rescuing strays. Laura was a genuine champion for the underdog. Her true love was and eternally will be Silver Lake Camp. Her spirit was one of kindness and compassion. There will be no visitation. Roderick J. Rowland, age 76, of Tonawanda, died November 27th, 2023. Roderick was the son of John and Dorothy Rowland, and adored brother to Juliet and Jay, brother-in-law to Claudia. EAST AURORA — Randy Dean Mellenthine, age 58, of East Aurora, formerly of North Tonawanda, unexpectedly, December 20, 2012 in Buffalo Mercy Hospital. Randy worked as a bartender and waiter for many local restaurants in Western New York. He loved music and was a triple drummer for the Hamburg K Percussion Line.

Beloved husband of Diane (Barrie) Mellenthine; stepfather of William (Anita) Fralick, James Fralick, Michael (Kristen) Fralick and Leah Rammacher; grandfather of Riley, Tristin, Kyran, Taylor, Mikayla and Madison; brother of Douglas (Sherry) Mellenthine of Batavia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
