    RANSOMVILLE - Casper E. Schultz, 82, of Youngstown-Lockport Road, died Monday (Feb. 11, 1991) In Buffalo General Hospital.
    The Town of Lewiston native had lived in Ransomville since 1963. He was a a chauffeur for Major B.J. Mitchell in Youngstown from 1931 to 1939. He then owned and operated a dairy farm from 1939 to 1949 in East Aurora.
    He went to work for the federal government in the Parks department at the Rocky Mountain National Park In Colorado from 1949 to 1955 and during the same time was employed for Buckstem Machine and Tool Co. in Buffalo. From 1955 to 1975, he worked for the State of New York Parks Department, first at Evangola State Park from 1955 to 1963, then as superintendent at Fort Niagara State Park from 1963 until retiring in 1975.
    Schultz was a member of the Ransomville United Methodist Church.
    He and his wife, Doris D. (Dennis) Schultz celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary July 21, 1990.
    Besides his wife, he is survived by four sisters, Mildred Nichols of Culpeper, Va., Ruth Myers of Youngstown, Dorothy Lane of Ransomville and Mary Stevens of Newfane; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was the son of John L. and Grace C. (Lederhouse) Schultz and brother of the late Stanley L. Schultz.
    Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Hardison Funeral Homes, 3848 Ransomville Road; where the Rev. Jacob Denny will conduct services at 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Oakland Rural Cemetery, Porter.
    Contributions to the Ransomville Fire Co. Ambulance Fund or to the Ransomville United Methodist Church are acceptable as tribute.

    Patricia A. Froman, age 69, of Youngstown, died Tuesday June. 29, 2006 in Lockport Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
    Mrs. Froman was born August 5, 1936 in Youngstown, NY, the daughter of the. late Stanley and Sarah (Myers) Schultz and was a lifelong resident of the Town of Porter. In 1951 she graduated from Youngstown High School. Patricia was a Nurses Aide and had worked at the former Ransomville General Hospital for 10 years. She then worked at the Newfane Nursing Home for 10 years before retiring in the mid 1980' s.
    Patricia formerly attended the Fillmore Chapel United Methodist Church in Ransomville. She was dedicated to her children and grandchildren. Patricia enjoyed making floral arrangements and her many travels with her very dedicated and loving 8-year companion, Ronald Quiett.
    She was the widow of Martin Froman, Jr. who predeceased her April 10, 1992. Patricia is survived by her children, Stephen (Gail Colleen) Zurenda of Lockport, Thomas (Nancy) Zurenda of Marlena, FL, Daniel (Sally) Zurenda of Black River, NY, Paul Zurenda of Bath, NY, Debra (Donald) Ackley of Hammondsport, NY; John. (Barbara) Zurenda of Waynesville, NC, Matthew Froman of Lockport and Kelly (Jamie) O'Donnell of Wilson; a brother, John "Jack" (Maxine "Mickey") Schultz of Youngstown; four sisters, Deanna (William) Leggett of Ransomville, Mary (Ronald) Lauzau of Wilson, Susan (Timothy) Harris and Cynthia (Scott) Hillman both of Ransomville. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her loyal Best Buddy pet dog JAKE.
    Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June·24, at 11:00 am in the funeral home.     Gary R. Lane, age 79, of Ransomville died Monday, January 9th, 2023, at Newfane Rehab and HCF in Newfane, NY. Gary was born on March 2nd, 1943, in Niagara Falls, NY. He is the son of the late Raymond J. and the late Dorothy (Schultz) Lane. He was a graduate of Wilson high school class of 1961 and the University of Alaska in Fairbanks, AK with a Bachelor of Business Management degree.


    He served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967 and was station at Ft. Richardson in Alaska. He worked for 8 years with Mobil Oil while in Alaska after his college graduation. He was an entrepreneur most of his life being a self-employed owner and operator of several businesses in Arizona, and Wisconsin. He also sold real estate. He returned to Ransomville, NY in 2007 after 43 years away. He was a member of the Ransomville Retirees and the Lewiston Seniors and the Ransomville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling, reading, gardening, and going to yard sales.


    Surviving is his children Natalie (Dr. Bernard) Eden PHD., Christopher Lane and Nathaniel Lane; his siblings, Elizabeth Maacks and Marilyn Lane; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and his good friends Allan Privette.




    Calling hours will be Monday, January 16th from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at Hardison Funeral Home, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM following visitation hours in the funeral homes with Rev. Dale Austin. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery Cambria, NY.

    Brad was born March 16, 1961 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of Ronald and Mary (Schultz) Lauzau of Wilson. He attended local schools and served two years in the National Guard. Brad worked as a laborer for Faery's Nursery in Ransomville.

    He was well known for never wasting a day. If he wasn’t working, he was helping his family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, camping, canoeing, cooking, playing darts, volleyball, and pool. Brad was known to have visit local taverns to watch his favorite sports and have a beer with his many friends. “It is what it is” was how Brad would respond to his diagnosis and was determined to live a full life without regrets.

    In addition to his parents he is survived by two sisters, Robin (David) Becker of North Tonawanda, NY and Christine Kroening (Bradley Snyder) of Ransomville; three nieces, Jennifer, Mary, and Jessica; a nephew, Jarod; a great niece and nephew, Jackson and Isabella Mae; his dear friends, Gail (Gates) Lonsbery and Dean Lampman. He was predeceased by his brother, John R. "Beans" Lauzau.

    Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Thursday from 1 – 3 and 5 – 7 pm. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 21, at 11:00 am in the funeral home, with the Rev. William Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery, Church Rd., Town of Cambria. He attended Wilson High School and has worked at many jobs in the area, Basil Inc. in Wilson, Bickford Box Co., Danielewicz Farms, and for Shawnee Tire. Beanie had many interests and hobbies. He loved cooking for others; was a great prankster; enjoyed 4 wheeling, snowmobiling, mowing the lawn, bonfires, the outdoors, and fishing. He was also a great Sabres fan.In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Bradley Lauzau of Wilson; two sisters, Robin (David) Becker of Sanborn and Christine Kroening (Bradley Snyder) of Ransomville; three nieces, Jennifer, Mary, and Jessica; a nephew, Jarod; a great nephew, Jackson; his loving companion, Cynthia Greenlief; and aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.Services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no prior visitation. Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr. Lockport, NY 14094. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville.
