    Edgar D. Meierhans, 92, Altamont, Illinois died at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital, Effingham, Illinois on February 11, 1998. He was born February 10, 1906 in Altamont, Illinois, the son of Adolph and Ida Sy Meierhans. He married Hilda H. Milleville in 1934. She died in 1942.

    Funeral services will be at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery. Kull Funeral Home, Altamont, Illinois, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to St Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church Building Fund, Lutheran Care Center, or donor's choice.

    He was a retired mechanic for Grobengieser & Son Implement Co in Altamont, Illinois, life member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, and was a charter member who served with the board of directors of the Altamont Schuetzenfest.

    Survivors include his son Delbert (Dell) Meierhans of Spring, Texas; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, one brother and two sisters.

    He was also a member of the board of directors of Camp Cilca.

    Surviving are two sons, Wayne of Morton and Robert of Chicago; step-daughter, Shirley Sutton of Springfield; brother Edgar of Altamont; two sisters, Mrs. Erma Van Ness of Cincinnati, Mrs. Louella Roschke of Hobart, Ind.; four grandchildren.

    Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Bisch Memorial Home, Rev. Edward M. Lang officiating.

    Burial in Roselawn Cemetery.
