Retired Farmer Called by Death
MIDDLEPORT, May 2 - John Giertz, 75 years old, died last night at his home in Wolcottsville. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Karl Seefeldt, of Middleport, one son, George Giertz, and one sister, Mrs. Fred Blumreich, both of Wolcottsville. Mr. Giertz was a lifelong resident of the Town of Royalton and operated a farm until about four years ago when he suffered a stroke. He was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran church, Wolcottsville. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m., standard time, from the home and at 2:30 at St. Michael's church with interment at Mount Pleasant cemetery, West Shelby. The Rev. Frederick Schleef will officiate.
