    September 5, 1957 - September 21, 2022

    Mark A. Currie passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 21. 2022.  He was 65.  He was born in Buffalo on September 5, 1957, son of the late Alan F. and Rose E. (Fike) Currie.
     Mark attended local schools and graduated from LaSalle Senior High School.  He married Maureen Miklitch on September 8, 1978 and they remained happily married for 44 years until his passing.  Mark worked as an auto technician at UCI Warehouse in Buffalo for over 22 years.
    He was an avid Buffalo Sabres and NASCAR fan and he enjoyed watching the Buffalo Bills.  Mark was a hard worker and his greatest joy was his time with his family and friends.
    Mark is survived by his loving wife Maureen (Miklitch) Currie, two children: Rachael (Christopher) Mahiques of Grand Island and Alan M. (Amber) Currie of Niagara Falls, his granddaughter Olivia Mahiques, and his sister Mary (Keith) Matiash of Niagara Falls.
    He is also survived by three brothers-in-law: James Miklitch, Larry (Sharon) Miklitch and Kenny (Rhonda) Miklitch and nieces and nephews: Brittany (Dan) O’Sullivan, Nicholas (Christina) Matiash, Jeffrey Matiash, Jennifer Miklitch and Corrine (Anthony) Boland.  In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his mother and father-in-law James (Catherine) Miklitch and his brother-in-law Billy Miklitch.
    Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 2-7 PM where services will be held at 7 immediately following the visitation.  Burial will be private in White Chapel Memorial Park in Tonawanda.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in mark’s name to the American Cancer Society at www.donate3.cancer.org or 1-800-227-2345.
