    Notes:

    Donald J. Stanton passed away on December 31, 2022 after a short illness. Born in Salamanca, NY on August 11, 1941. The son of Paul and Ruth Timmerman Stanton. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1961. He worked at Simonds/Guterl Steel until they closed then he went to work at Niagara Specialty Metals until his retirement.
    He is survived by his daughter; Laura (Mark) Thomas and his son; Lawrence (Annette) Stanton. His wife Kathy Troy Stanton. Nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren. Siblings; Judy Ramming, Gary (Joan) Ramming. Five in laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandson Ashton Stanton, Clark and Betty Ramming, John, and Michael Troy.
    He spent many years camping at Niagara Hartland R.V. Resort, where he made many dear friends. He was an exempt member of Wrights Corners Fire Co and will miss his furry companion “Jake.” Relatives and friends may call on January 14, 2023, from 2-6pm at Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, Inc. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY. Memorial service to follow.
