    January 9, 1936 - November 10, 2023

    Dottie (Molak) Farrell of Niagara Falls, New York, passed away surrounded by loved ones on November 10, 2023. She was born on January 9, 1936, to the late Alexander Molak and the late Helen (Wisz) Molak. Dottie was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School class of 1953. She also received a bachelors degree in 1957 and a masters degree in art education in 1993 from Buffalo State College. It was during her college career that she met her husband through a good friend. Anyone who knew Dottie could tell you about her love of the arts and her artistic abilities. She created many beautiful works of art depicting a variety of subjects that she saw as beautiful and important to her, like religious figures, humanity and, of course, her family. One of her biggest art projects she took on was painting on over 500 hubcaps that can be seen in various places throughout Niagara Falls. Dottie was one of the first people to rent a studio at the Niagara Falls Arts and Cultural Center (NACC), where she taught art and calligraphy. Dottie is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Joseph H. Farrell, and seven children: Patrick (Kris) of Niagara Falls, Joseph (MaryEllen) Of North Tonawanda, Timothy (Kristin) of Arlington, Tennessee, Theresa (Don) Max of Buffalo, Suzanne (Michael) Brave of Niagara Falls, Mary Favero (Jeff Ritter) of Niagara Falls and Rosanne Farrell (Dirk Willson) of Las Vegas, Nevada. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Anna (Charles) Reese, Jessie (Matt) Paluch, Caroline (Monica) Debus, Sarah Lavin, Gary (Caroline) Favero, Alissa Favero, Alex (Hannah) Farrell, Joseph (Jessica) Farrell, Brennan Farrell, Liam Farrell and Jamie (John) Gavin as well as nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived be her brothers Eugene (late Connie) Molak of Niagara Falls and Alexander John (Beverly) Molak of Snyder and many dear cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her loving parents, she is predeceased by her twin sister Diana (Edward) Morgan of Ocala, Florida and her grandson Victor (Melissa) Favero of Colorado. A Memorial Mass is to be held on Monday, November 20th at 10:00 AM at St. John de LaSalle Church, 8477 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, New York. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Hospice. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting Lane Funeral Home.
