    Charles Cruickshank, 74, of 122 62nd St. died in Memorial Medical Center Friday (April 4, 1980) after a short illness. Born in Falkirk, Scotland, he came to Niagara /Falls 66 years ago and was employed by International Paper Mill for 40 years before retiring. An avid sportsman, he played basketball, baseball and also bowled. He played basketball for the Tigers and once played under the three-star player Johnny Moore. Cruickshank was a member of the American Legion LaSalle Post 1142, the Moose Club and Golden Agers and former member of MacKenzie Club. He is survived by his wife, Bernice Yakam Cruickshank; a daughter, Mrs. David (Bernadette) Wolf of Danbury, Conn.; brother, George Cruickshank of Niagara Falls; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Rissler of Lantana, Fla.; two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Duncan Cruickshank. Funeral services will be held at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday from the Tubinis Funeral Home, 1646 Falls St.. and. at 10 a.m. at St. John's de LaSalle Church. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
