Jacob Zeiger died at his home at Suspension
Bridge on Saturday last. He was born
in Bavaria in 1827. In 1848 his father
brought his family to this, country and came
direct to Suspension Bridge. In 1848 Jacob
Zeiger was married to Mary Wagner, who
survives him as do also five sons and two
daughters. The deceased had been in the
employment of the N. Y. C. Railroad at
the Bridge for over 20 years, and was a
prominent member of the German-American
Association. The funeral was held from
the German Lutheran Church, Suspension
Bridge, yesterday afternoon.

Jacob Zeiger, 74 years old, highly
respected lifelong resident of Niagara
Falls, died at 7:15 o'clock last evening
at his home, 1528 Ontario avenue, following
a short .Illness. Funeral services
will be held at the home at 2 p.m.
Saturday, the Rev. Arthur H. Schmoyer
officiating. " Burial will be In Oakwood
cemetery.
Mr. Zeiger,. who was bom in Niagara
Falls and lived here all his life,
was a carpenter by trade. He was
employed by the Haeberle Lumber company
for - 47 years, retiring two years
.ago. He was a member of the Niagara
Falls Exempt Firemen's association
and the Niagara Falls local of the
carpenters' union. He is survived by
one daughter, Frances E. Zeiger, and
a sister, Anna M Zeiger.

Adam Zeiger died at his residence on
Lewiston avenue Thursday of typhoid fever.
His age was 28 years. A wife and two sons
survive. He was a member of.Bellevue
Hose Company. The funeral will occur
Sunday at 2 P.M. from the German Lutheran
church.

Frank Zeiger, 67 y e a rs old, 1105 North
avenue, retired railroad man. died yes-
terday, following a short Illness Fun-
eral services will be held at the family
home Wednesday at 3 p. m.. the Rev.
Herman Brezing officiating. Burial will
be in-Oakwood cemetery.
Mr. Zeiger was born in Niagara Falls,
son of the late Jacob and Anna Main
Zeiger and lived her all his life. He
was empoyed by the New York Cen-
tral railroad for 44 years, retiring two
years ago. He was a volunteer of the
old Bellevue Hose company. He was a
member of the Brotherhood of Railway
Clerks and of the Exempt Firemen's
Association and had a wife circle of
friends in the city.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary
Zeiger, and two sons, George A. an d
Charles A. Zeiger, all of this city.

Miss Anna Marie Zeiger, 1528 On-
tario avenue, died Sunday at Memo-
rial hospital following a brief illness.
Funeral service for Miss Zeiger will
be held at her home at 2 p.m. to-
morrow. The Rev. Arthur H. Schmoy-
er, D.D. will officiate at the services.
Miss Zeiger was born in this ciyt,
the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Jacob Zeiger. She had lived here all
her life and was a life-long member
of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran
church.
Surviving are a niece, Frances E.
Zeiger, and three nephews, George
A., Charles, and Howard E. Zeiger.
Burial will be in Oakwood cere-
tery.

George A. Zieger, 67, of 1710
Pierce Ave., died yesterday (Oct.
4, 1957) in Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Zieger retired in the early
part of the summer because of illness.
He was a clerk with the
Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad for
42 years. He was a member of
the Zion Lutheran Church and of
the Woodmen of the World.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
Myrtle Zeiger, and a brother,
Charles Zeiger, this city.
Funeral serviles will be at 1:30
p.m. Monday at the Gridley Funcral
Home with the Rev. Arthur
H. Schmoyer, D.D., officiating.
Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery
