    Notes:

    Getz, Franklin, Wheatfield, was born in Pennsylvania, September 25, 1826, but came to Erie county with his parents when a child. They settled at what has since been known as Getzville in the town of Amherst the place taking its name from this family. He was a farmer for years, but came to Tonawanda in 1880 and has since been engaged in the milling business. He married Mary Long, and they have one son and two daughters: Sherman, Mrs. Alta Steinhouse and Mrs. Susan Staley. Sherman Getz married Jennie Evans. Mr. Gets was the discoverer and developer of natural gas at Getzville and is still interested in operations there. He has also invented a valuable device for tunneling the Model City. His parents were Joseph and Susan (Lapp) Gets, who came to this part of the country nearly twenty years ago.

    1972) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital
    following a long illness.
    Wife of the late Clifford Myers,
    she is survived by one
    daughter. Mrs. Kenneth
    (Vivian) Redick; two grandchildren,
    Dennis Redick and
    Mrs. Mark (Sherry) Knoell, all
    of North Tonawanda; two
    sisters, Mrs. Edward (Alta)
    Hempel of North Tonawanda
    and Mrs. Gertrude Bickler of
    Niagara Falls, NY.; also
    survived by several nieces and
    nephews.
    Mrs. Myers was a lifelong
    resident of North Tonawanda, a
    former employe of Sperry Rand
    Corp., and a member of Payne
    Avenue Christian Church.
    Friends may call from 2 to 4
    and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hilliard
    Funeral Home, Inc., 147 Delaware
    St., Tonawanda, where
    services will be held Thursday
    at 1:30 p.m., the Rev. Lyle V.

Marcie was a 1997 graduate of Starpoint High School, and continued her education at Niagara County Community College, earning her Horticultural Degree in 1999. Marcie enjoyed landscaping design, and working with flowers. She was employed as a File and Data Entry Clerk, at Viola, Cummings and Lindsay Law Office, located on Main Street, Niagara Falls.Survivors include her mother; domestic partner of 13 years, Shawn Pinkham; three children, Zachary Heath, Alexander James Heath, and Sarah Lynn Pinkham; two brothers, Adam and Kenneth Redick. She was preceded in death by her father.Friends are invited to join with her family, for a memorial service on Friday, July 14 at 2:00 p.m., in the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, NY. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.
