    GERLDINE LEWINGeraldine (Eddy) Lewin, of Lewiston, died on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. She was 89.She was born in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY on January 23, 1919, a daughter of the late George and Mary (Murphy) Eddy. She attended area schools.Mrs. Lewin enjoyed crocheting, bingo and being with her family.Survivors include four children: Elizabeth Harvey (Floyd) of Pekin, Niagara County, NY, Bernadine Stahlman (Gary) of Hilton, NY, Edwin Lewin, Jr. (Mary) of Lockport, Edith H. Hildebrandt (Gary) of Lewiston, Niagara County, NY; a son-in-law, Warren McClure; a sister, Mary Eddy; 30 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Edwin B. Lewin in 1994; two children: Mary McClure and Robert Lewin and siblings, William Eddy, Leo Eddy, Harold Eddy, Irene Eddy, George Woodrow Eddy, Paul Eddy and John Eddy.Friends may call Friday from 4-8 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, where funeral services will be held Saturday 9:30 AM with the Rev.     NIAGARA FALLS - Paul J. Eddy, 84, died Wednesday in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a short illness.
    The lifelong resident of Niagara Falls attended Sacred Heart School, North Junior High School and Trott Vocational High School.

    He was employed by the B.F. Goodrich Chemical Co. for 26 years, as a chemical foreman, until the plant closed in 1971.

    He and his wife, the former Virginia Mack, ran Sanborn Liquor in Sanborn from 1972 to 1982.

    He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and Lodge 785, Free and Accepted Masons.

    Mr. Eddy enjoyed spending summers at the family place in Muskoka Lake, Ont.

    In addition to his wife of 59 years, survivors include two daughters, Janette Carver of Sanborn and Dawn Cottrill of Erin, Ont.; a brother, John of Clearwater, Fla.; two sisters, Geraldine Lewin of Lewiston and Mary Dussler of Clearwater, Fla.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

    Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Zion Lutheran Church, 1010 Michigan Ave. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

    John Joseph Eddy, died peacefully December 9, 2007, at St. Anne's Extended Healthcare in Winona, MN. John Eddy was born December 2, 1923, in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY. to Oliver and Mary Eddy. He served in the 440th Engineers during World War II. John married Rose Murphy in 1945. They were married for 55 years. John worked for much of his life as an industrial printer and pressman. He also worked as a maintenance mechanic for the City of Niagara Falls. He and Rose retired to Safety Harbor, FL, where they lived in the Amber Glades community for 20 years. In 2005 he moved to Winona, Minnesota, to join his family. Preceded in death by his wife, Rose; his parents; and brothers, William, Leo, George, Harold, and Paul; and sister, Irene Jones. He is survived by his son, Dr. Gary (Marykay) Eddy of Winona; his sister, Mary Dussler of Clearwater FL, Geralding Lewin of Niagara Falls; sister-in-law, June Marble of Grand Island; brother-in-law, John Harrison of Hemet, CA; and many loving nieces and nephews. Services will be held in Winona, MN, and Safety Harbor, FL.

    NIAGARA FALLS — Mary L. (Eddy) Dussler, 85, of Niagara Falls, NY, formerly of Clearwater, FL, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2011, while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Murphy) Eddy.

    Mary was raised and educated in Niagara Falls. For over 10 years, she worked as supervisor in the men’s department of the former Twin Fair in Niagara Falls. Mary was an active member of Divine Zion Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls, as well as their altar guild, until moving to Clearwater, FL in 1980. While living in Florida, Mary was actively involved at St. Mathias Lutheran Church, where she had served as Church Council president. Mary also served as president of On Top of the World Condominiums Women’s Club.

    Mrs. Dussler was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence K. Dussler, Sr. She is survived by four children, Larry (Nancy) Dussler, Jr. of Catonsville, MD, Pam (Bob) Barrs of Welland, Ontario, Bill (Bonnie) Dussler of Burien, WA and Peter (Phyllis) Dussler of Niagara Falls, NY; five grandchildren, Kara, Caitlin, Mindy, Robyn and Alaina; one great-granddaughter, Sophia and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by six brothers and two sisters, Leo Eddy, Harold Eddy, Willie Eddy, Geraldine Llewelyn, Paul Eddy, John Eddy, Irene Jones and George Eddy.

    Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3-5 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI AND SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will be follow at 5 PM, with Rev. Milan Slahor officiating. Interment will be held in Clearwater, FL at the convenience of the family.     Elizabeth A. "Betty"  Harvey of Pekin,  passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in  Kenmore Mercy Hospital.   She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on May 2, 1939, the daughter of the late Edwin B. and Geraldine F. [Eddy] Lewin.
    Mrs. Harvey graduated from Lewiston Porter High School and was employed with various restaurants in the area over the years.
    She was a member of the Pekin Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary since 1967 where she held several positions during that time and most recently as President of the organization.
    Mrs. Harvey enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and bird watching.
    She is survived by her husband of 63 years Floyd C. Harvey, they were married on October 4, 1958, her children Floyd C. (Patricia) Harvey, Rebecca G. (Andy) Clinton, Laurita M. (Kelly) Denby, Joseph L. (Bonnie) Harvey and Suzanne E. (Anthony) Spicola, nine grandchildren Jason, Rachael, Floyd Christopher, Danielle, Daniel, Kelly Lee, Lynnette, Nicholas and Jenna, thirteen great-grandchildren and sister of Bernadine T. (late Gary) Stahlman, Edwin B. (Mary) Lewin, Jr., Edith G. (Gary) Hildebrandt, also several brother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
    She was the sister of the late Mary L. (Warren) McClure and Robert E. Lewin.
    Her family will be present on Sunday from 3-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will held on Monday at 10AM, with the Rev. Brad Delp officiating.
    Memorials may be made in her name to the Community Bible Church.
    Interment in Mt. View Cemetery, Town of Cambria.

    YOUNGSTOWN - Janelle L. Wegener, a charge nurse in the intensive-care unit of DeGraff Memorial Hospital in North Tonawanda, died Wednesday (Feb. 26, 2003) in Buffalo General Hospital after a lengthy battle with lupus. She was 54.
    She was born Janelle Eddy in Niagara Falls and graduated in 1966 from Niagara Falls High School. She attended Niagara County Community College in Sanborn and the University of Rochester, where she earned her bachelor of science degree in nursing.

    Mrs. Wegener was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls, where she was a longtime choir member and member of the church's Women's Bible Study program and Zion Council.

    She also was a member of the Stitch and Chat Group and had been actively involved in the Lupus Support Group at Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston.

    Mrs. Wegener is survived by her husband, James F. Jr.; her parents, Paul J. and Virginia Mack Eddy of Niagara Falls; a son, James P. of Niagara Falls; twin daughters, Janelle K. and Jeanette C., both of Youngstown; a sister, Dawn Cottrill of Erin, Ont., and a twin sister, Janette Carver of Sanborn; and a grandson.

    Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Zion Lutheran Church, 100 Michigan Ave., Niagara Falls. Burial is in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.

    He is survived by five step-children, several grandchildren; two brothers, Lawrence (Nancy) Dussler and William Dussler; sister, Pamela (Bob) Barrs; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Priscilla (Daniels) Forster; sister-in-law, Loretta (Donald) Herbst, Barbara (Peter) Bulka, Theresa (Lazo) Balseiro, Mary (Sue) Forster and Bonnie Dussler; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles; and his partners in crime, Sir Maxwell and Lucky Charms.

Michael and Kathleen (Eddy) Stone.
     
    Mike, as he was known to family and friends, was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School.  For 28 years, he was employed as a shift supervisor for Bremner Foods in Tonawanda, until he could no longer work due to his illness.  Mike was always on the move and loved working.  He was also the owner an operator of Mike Stone’s Lawn Service.  
     
    Mike was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Parish, where he attended the Prince of Peace worship site.  At the age of 9, his grandpa Eddy instilled in him the passion of bowling in which Mike excelled; bowling on Sunday mornings in leagues at Bowl-O-Drome and winning awards, including the Tri-City Masters in 1997.  His grandfather and uncle taught Mike how to hunt and fish and he continued to enjoy both throughout his life.  Above all, he loved the company of family and friends, whether family get-togethers, where he was a master griller and smoker, or camping and four wheeling at Tall Pines or just having people over to entertain and spend time with them, all up until his last days.  
     
    In addition to his parents, Mike is survived by children, Matthew (Jennifer Magil) Stone and Samantha Stone; step-sons, Thomas (Ashley) McKerlie and Joseph (Brittany) McKerlie; a granddaughter, Kaylee Stone; siblings, Kathleen (late Keith) Herrington, Christopher (Carolyn) Stone and Robert (late Mary) Stone; uncles, John (Sandra) Eddy and Terry (Alice) Stone and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  
     
    Visitation will be on Monday, from 3-7 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where funeral services will begin on Tuesday, September 10th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Prince of Peace Church, 1055 N. Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Father Robert Hughson serving as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to WNY Heroes, Inc., which Mike spent time volunteering for.     Obituary of Joseph I. Meyers Jr.

    Joseph I. Meyers, Jr. 27 of Lewiston entered into rest unexpectedly on Monday, July 29, 2019, at home in Lewiston. Joe was born July 10, 1992, in Niagara Falls, NY, he is the son of Jennifer Stahlman and Joseph I. Meyers Sr. Joe graduated from Lew-Port High School in 2010 and went on to attend NCCC.
    He was employed by United Iron Workers International/ LOCAL 9 as an Iron Worker and also, worked for Ken Young Paving. Joe loved to play football and swim for the Lew-Port Lancers. Joe enjoyed camping, outings with friends and his beloved pets. He was a very hard-working young man and loved spending time with his friends and family. If you were a friend of Joe’s he was fiercely loyal, loved you with his whole heart, greeted you with his huge beautiful smile and considered you part of our family.
    Surviving are his parents Jennifer Stahlman and Joseph I. Meyers Sr; his brothers Dominic Biesuz (Gabby Morford); Kristofer Meyers; his grandmother Bernadine Stahlman; his stepfather Larry Biesuz Jr.; step-siblings Sam and Maxx Biesuz as well as grandparents  Becky and Mike Wagner; Judy and Larry Biesuz Sr.; and his beloved  aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Gary Stahlman and paternal grandparents Joseph and Kathryn Meyers
    A memorial service will be held on SATURDAY, August 3, 2019, at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston, 505 Cayuga St., Lewiston, NY with Rev. Elizabeth Morgan officiating. There will be a reception following the service at the church.
