    William “Bill” H. Malaney, III, age 85, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018 atBuffalo General Medical Center Gates Vascular Institute.  Born on August 28, 1933, he was the son of the late William and Olive (Brydges) Malaney, II and step-mother, Grace (Bomberry) Malaney, II.
    Bill was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls. He attended local schools and entered the Air Force in 1951 and served in Greenland, as a Control Tower operator and was honorably discharged in 1955.  While in Greenland, Bill placed runner-up in the 1953 boxing light welterweight division in the Northeast Overseas Sports Conference.  
    He married the former Joan Andrews in 1957 at Sacred Heart Church.  Bill was employed at Sisters of Charity Hospital as a maintenance supervisor, until his retirement in 1998.  Bill was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed golf and bowling.  His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family.
    In addition to his beloved wife of 61 years, Bill is survived by his son, William (Susan) Malaney, IV; Grandchildren, William (Stacey) Malaney, V and Deanna (Jason) Collins; Great-grandchildren, Madison, Avery and Carter Malaney and Owen Collins all of Virginia. He is also survived by brothers, Kevin (Nancy) Malaney of Niagara Falls and Joseph Malaney of North Tonawanda; step-sisters, Karren (late Ross) Salimbene of North Tonawanda and Sarah LaBarber of Niagara Falls and Sister-in-laws, Delores Malaney of Niagara Falls and Linda Bomberry of Lockport. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Shirley (Francis) Rinehart, Dennis Malaney, Gerald Malaney and Michael Malaney; step-brothers, Gregory Bomberry and Darryl Bomberry and step-sister, Cheryl (David) Ducette.
    Visitation will be privately held with his family.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 30th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Raphael Parish, 3840 Macklem Ave, Niagara Falls.  EVERYONE ASSEMBLE AT THE CHURCH.  Prayers of committal and entombment, concluding with military honors, will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.     Shirley M. (nee Malaney) Rinehart, 80, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed from this life on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at her residence. Born on December 6, 1935 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Grace (Bomberry) Malaney, Jr. and the late Olive (Brydges) Malaney. On July 11, 1968 she married Francis E. Rinehart. He predeceased her on December 21, 2013.

    Mrs. Rinehart was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools. Shirley worked as a waitress for various restaurants and was also employed as a dietary supervisor for local nursing homes, retiring in the late 1990's.

    Mrs. Rinehart is survived by one daughter, Deborah Casey of Florida; two step-children, Cynthia (Paul) Kowalczyk of Niagara Falls, NY and Eric (Bev) Rinehart of Wellsville, NY; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Shirley is also survived by one brother, William (Joan) Malaney, III of Niagara Falls, NY; two half-brothers, Kevin (Nancy) Malaney of Niagara Falls, NY and Joseph Malaney of North Tonawanda, NY; two step-sisters, Karren (late Ross) Salimbene of North Tonawanda, NY and Sarah LaBarber of Niagara Falls, NY; one step-brother, Darryl (Linda) Bomberry of Lockport, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one son, James Casey; two brothers, Dennis (Delores of Niagara Falls, NY) Malaney and Jerry Malaney; one half-brother, Michael; one step-brother, Greg and one step-sister, Cheryl.

    There will be no prior visitation. Private inurnment will be held in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, in the Town of Niagara.

    DENNIS R. MALANEY, SR. Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and BrotherDennis R. Malaney, Sr., 70, of 72nd Street, entered into peaceful rest on Thursday, July 10, 2008 in Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, Erie County, NY, following a brief illness. Born on June 15, 1938 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY he was the son of the late William and Olive (Brydges) Malaney. On September 12, 1959 he married the former Delores Moreland.Mr. Malaney was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY and attended local schools. For twenty years, Dennis worked as a crane operator for Union Carbide. Following Union Carbide closing, he went on to own and operate his janitorial business, D’s Janitorial. Dennis enjoyed NASCAR and fishing.In addition to his beloved wife, Delores, of forty-eight years, Mr. Malaney is also survived by three children: Dennis R. Malaney, Jr. of Florida, Sherry L. Arnone of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY and Richard (Candy) Malaney of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY; nine grandchildren: Rachelle, Dennis III, Stephen, Tyler, Erin, Camryn, Casandra, Richard Jr., and Nathan and two great-grandchildren: Maddox and Mason.     Jerry E. Malaney, 67, of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 14, 2008 at Hospice in Lockport. He was born in Niagara Falls on December 17, 1940. He was the son of the late William and Olive (Brydges) Malaney and step-son of Grace Malaney.Jerry was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY. He was employed by the Local Painters Union and worked on many projects including the Niagara Falls Power Authority in its infancy. He loved taking pictures, traveling and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was generous and always willing to help a friend.Jerry is survived by his siblings, William (Joan) Malaney, Shirley (Francis) Rinehart, Dennis (Delores) Malaney, Kevin (Nancy) Malaney, Joseph Malaney, Karren (Ross) Salimbene, Darryl (Linda) Bomberry, Sarah (Larry) LaBarber; his children, Jacqueline Malaney, Angela Malaney, Anthony (Jessica) Cicali, Aaron (Kristen) Cicali; his grandchildren, Greg Dick, Kevin Dick, Olivia Cicali, Grace Cicali and his great-grandson, Michael Dick and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
