WITKOP - August C. Witkop,
formerly of Pekin, N.Y., died
Sunday (July 1,1962) at his home,
Tampa, Fla. He is survived by
his wife, Ina, of Tampa; two
sons, George A. of Middleport
N.Y., and Robert R. of Lockport;
a daughter, Mrs. Chester (Carolyn)
Cook of Wilson, N.Y.; a
brother, Albert of Tonawanda; 12
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren,
and several nieces and
nephews. Friends may call Friday
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
at Wallace and Heath Funeral
Home Inc., 38 State St., Middleport,
and Saturday from 2 to 3
p.m. at St. Paul L u t h e r an
Church, 453 Old Falls Blvd.,
North Tonawanda, where funeral
services will be conducted at 3
p.m. Saturday, with the Rev.
Enno A. Schmoock officiating.

Last rites will be held this afternoon
for Mrs. Emma Ruth Eberhardt,
whose death followed a brief illness
at the DeGraff Memorial hospital.
Services will be held at 2:30 from the
residence, 369 Oakdale drive, and at
3 o'clock from the St. Paul's church
Rev. F. A. Hinner officiating. Burial
wil! he in Rest Haven cemetery. Mrs.
Eberhardt was born in St. Johnsburg
23 years ago. but spent the
greater part of her life In North Tonawanda.
She leaves a husband, Martin;
parents, Mr. and Mrs. August
Witkop; two brothers, George and
Robert, and as sister, Caroline, an of
North Tonawanda.

George A. Witkop of 2939
Carmen Road, Middleport,
died Saturday at Niagara Falls
Memorial Medical Center
after a long illness.
He was born in Bergholtz,
the son of August and Bertha
(Werth) Witkop. He was
employed at Harrison
Radiator for several years. He
had lived in Middleport for the
past 30 years and was a
member of S t John's Lutheran
Church, Lyndonville.
Surviving are his wife, Ethel
(Latta) Witkop; two stepson,
Carl Latta of Michigan, Jack
Latta of Texas; one stepdaughter,
Mrs. Bradford
(Mary Lou) Pease of Lockport;
10 grandchildren; one greatgranddaughter;
one brother,
Robert Witkop of Lockport;
one sister, Mrs. Caroline Cook
of Newfane, and several
nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were held
today at 11 a.m. at the St.
John's Lutheran Church,
Lyndonville, with the Rev.
Clarence Elliott officiating.
Burial was in Harttand Central
Cemetery.
Memorial gifts to the
American Cancer Society
would be appreciated by the
family.
Arrangements were made
by Bates, Wallace and Heath
Funeral Home Inc., 38 State
St., Middleport.
