Sanborn-Mrs. Anna A Haseley, 94, of 2208 Saunders Settlement Road died in DeVeaux Manor Nursing Home, Niagara Falls, Tuesday (Feb 1, 1977)
A native of Bergholz, she lived in the Sanborn area most of her life. She was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Her husband, Albert P. Haseley, predeceased her.
She is survived by seven sons, Norman Haseley of Niagara Falls, Marcus, William Benjamin and Albert Haseley, all of Sanborn, Wallace and Richard Haseley , both of Niagara Falls; a daughter, Mrs. Lydia Stoelting of Niagara Falls; 32 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 P.M. at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church with the rev. Paul F. Wittenberg officiating.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Rhoney Funeral Home, Sanborn from 7 to 9 P.M. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday.
Contributions to Lutheran Vespers are acceptable as tribute, the family said.

LEWISTON - Norman W.G. Haseley, 89, of Saunders Settlement Road, died Monday (Oct. 7, 1996) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital.
He was born Dec. 18, 1906, in Lewiston, the son of Albert and Anna (Ferchen) Haseley.
On Nov. 16, 1932, he married Myra Haseley. She died in April 1956.
He was a produce farmer all of his life. A lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Walmore Road, Mr. Haseley served as trustee.
Survivors include two sons, Harold Haseley and Duane Haseley, both of Niagara Falls; a daughter, Marie LaPress of Youngstown; six brothers, Marcus Haseley, William Haseley and Benjamin Haseley, all of Sanborn, Wallace Haseley, Richard Haseley and Albert Haseley, all of Wheatfield; a sister, Lydia Stoelting of Wheatfield; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Esther Beutel and was also predeceased by a great-grandson.
Visitation Will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. The Rev. David B. Menz will conduct services at noon Thursday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Walmore Road. Interment will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield.
Memorials may be made to the Entrance Fund or the Sound System Fund at St. Peter's Lutheran Church.

Marcus A. W. Haseley, a life long resident of Sanborn, was called to his eternal home on Sept.10, 2010 at Fairchild Manor, Lewiston, NY. He was 101. Mr. Haseley was born in the Town of Lewiston, NY on Jan 23, 1909, He was the son of Albert and Anna (Ferchen) Haseley and attended local schools. Mr. Haseley was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Sanborn where he served as President, Trustee, School Building Committee member, Cemetery Committee Chairman, and various other positions. He was also a member of the church choir for more than 50 yrs. He was also a member of the Historical Society of North German Settlements in Western New York. In his youth, Mr. Haseley worked on the family farm until he began working at J. J. Haseley & Sons produce farm in Sanborn. He marketed and delivered produce to the Niagara Falls & Clinton-Bailey Markets for over 50 years before retiring in 1980. He was the oldest exempt member of the Sanborn Fire Company (82 yrs.). In his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, and was known for his roadside produce stand. He was an avid golfer, watched hockey, football, and baseball and enjoyed pheasant and deer hunting in his earlier years. He married his wife of 69 yrs, the former Lizzie D. Pfohl on Jan 12, 1939. Lizzie died in 2008. Survivors include sons, Rev. Ronald M.(Joanne) of Greensburg, IN; Frederick W. (Christy) of Roseville, CA; Mark J.(Marilyn) of Ransomville; sister Lydia Stoelting of Wheatfield. He is also survived by five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. He was brother to the late Norman, Wallace, Esther Beutel, William, Richard, Benjamin, and Albert. The family will be present Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Rhoney Funeral Home, Sanborn, 5893 Hoover Road. Wallace P. Haseley, age 97, of Bergholz, was called to his heavenly home on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 after extended Hospice care, at his residence. Born in the Town of Lewiston, Niagara County, NY on August 3, 1910 to the late Albert and Anna (Ferchen) Haseley. He attended St. Peter's Lutheran School and the former Sanborn School. Wallace was employed as a millwright at General Abrasives for forty years, retiring in 1975. He was an active member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz, were he served as a former financial secretary, was involved with the building of both the church and school, and was a grounds keeper at Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery. He enjoyed gardening, watching sports, was a mechanical repairman and all around handyman, who always enjoyed his family and especially his grandchildren. Survivors include six children: Marlene (Bernhard) Langhart of Long Island, Lorna (Wayne) Wentzel of Michigan, Roger W. William A. Haseley, 89, a former coal delivery driver and mill foreman, died Monday (Nov. 10, 2003) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after an unexpected illness.
He was born in Lewiston and attended local schools.
Haseley was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where he was chairman of the parish Board of Education, a trustee and a member of the Call Committee and Second School Building Committee.
He attended church and Sunday school regularly until his death. He was also a member of the Historical Society of North German Settlements in Western New York.
In his youth, Haseley worked on the family farm until he began working at the Thiele family farm in North Tonawanda. He later worked as a coal delivery driver and mill foreman for Thiele Coal & Feed, North Tonawanda, from which he retired at age 65 after 48 years of service.
He enjoyed gardening, and he was known for his strawberries and produce and taking care of his lawn. He was an avid New York Yankees baseball fan, watched football and hockey and went deer hunting in his earlier years.
He was married to Irma Helene. Walck, who died in 1989.
Survivors include a daughter, Iris of Sanborn; a son, Gary of Sanborn; four brothers, Wallace of Bergholz, and Albert, Marcus and Benjamin, all of Sanborn; a sister, Lydia Stoelting of Wheatfield; and two grandsons.

Richard H. Haseley, a Carborundum Co. retiree who served on the board of directors of Niagara Lutheran Home, died Tuesday (Dec. 31, 2002) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston. He was 86.
A Town of Lewiston native, Haseley worked as a machinist for Carborundum's Coated Abrasives Division in Wheatfield. He retired in the early 1980s after a 42-year career.
He was an active member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bergholz and served as an elder, trustee and president of the local branch of the Aid Association for Lutherans.
Haseley was chaplain of Wheatfield Senior Citizens and served nine years as a trustee of Niagara Lutheran Home in Buffalo.
His wife, Helma DeVantier Haseley, died in 1991.

Born in the Town of Lewiston, NY on December 19, 1921; daughter of the late Albert and Anna (Ferchen) Haseley. Lydia was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz, where she had been an active member in the Ladies Aid, Alter Guild, Sunday School teacher, and Holy Ghost Seniors. She was also a member of the Wheatfield Seniors. Lydia was employed at the Carborundum Company in Niagara Falls, and later for the Niagara Wheatfield Central School District, retiring in 1986 as the head custodian. She served as a past president of the Niagara Wheatfield Non-instructional Association and a member of the Niagara Wheatfield Retirees. Lydia enjoyed doing Wonder Word Puzzles, reading, traveling and cooking.
Survivors include three children, Jane Nichols, Roy Stoelting and Larry Stoelting; grandchildren, Cheryl (Mike) Newton and Christine Stoelting; great-grandchildren, Jason (Ashley) Scarf, Justin Scarf, Nichole Newton, Nathan Newton and Jayson Newton; sister in law, Gladys Haseley; and many nieces and nephews.

NIAGARA FALLS — Marie E. (nee Haseley) Lapress, 74, of Youngstown, NY, passed from this life on Saturday, July 20, 2013 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center in Niagara Falls, NY, following a brief illness. Born on October 25, 1938 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Myra Haseley.

In 1972, Mrs. Lapress married Norman J. Lapress. He predeceased her in 2001. Throughout her life, Marie was primarily a homemaker. She attended St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sanborn, NY, as well as Messiah Lutheran Church in Lewiston, NY. Mrs. Lapress enjoyed puzzles, reading, crossword puzzles, music and watching baseball.

Mrs. Lapress is survived by two sons, Jamie Lapress of Niagara Falls, NY and George Lapress of Youngstown, NY; two brothers, Harold Haseley of the Town of Niagara, NY and Duane Haseley of Sanborn, NY; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ronald Marcus Haseley, devoted husband, father, and Lutheran minister, peacefully passed away on May 28, 2023. His life was a testament to faith, compassion, and the transformative power of love.
Ronald was born on September 1, 1941, in Niagara Falls, New York, to the late Marcus and Lizzie Haseley. Educated in theology and ordained as a minister after completing his studies at Capital University and Trinity Lutheran Seminary. He dedicated his life to serving as a minister in Texas, Indiana, and Ohio for over 50 years. His sermons were marked by his profound knowledge of Scripture, his ability to translate its teachings into practical wisdom, and his gift for conveying spiritual guidance with both humility and clarity.
Ronald's ministry extended beyond the walls of the church. Outside of his pastoral duties, Ronald cherished his role as a loving husband to his beloved wife Joanne and as a nurturing father to his three children, Michael Haseley, Beth Shelton (Evan), and Laura Haseley Wilson (Andy). He created a home filled with love, where faith, kindness, and forgiveness flourished. Ronald's dedication to his family was unwavering, and he instilled in them the importance of a life lived with purpose and compassion. Ronald is also survived by eight grandchildren, Michelle, Ian, Sam, Caitlyn, Elizabeth, Marcus, Hannah and Michael and brother Fred Haseley.
A service to celebrate the life and ministry of Ronald Haseley will be held on June 6, 2023, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4686 E Walnut St, Westerville, OH. WENTZEL, LORNA JEAN (HASELEY) Of Grand Blanc, age 73, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, went to meet Jesus on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit, Michigan. Lorna was born in Niagara Falls, New York on March 28, 1944, the daughter of Wallace and Cordia (Stoelting) Haseley, the second of six children. Lorna was a loving and devoted wife and her husband's best friend and confidant. She encouraged family and friends as a selfless guide and mentor. She was born with the heart of a farmer's daughter, loved the soil and was an excellent gardener. Lorna's yard and the surrounding area radiated her love for plants and flowers which she faithfully cultivated and nurtured. She will be sorely missed by the many whose lives she touched with her generosity and laughing spirit. Lorna fought valiantly against a disease that eventually consumed her body, but never consumed her love for her family and friends, nor her deep faith in the Lord Jesus. Lorna is survived by her husband of 51 years, Wayne Wentzel; five children and eleven grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by son, Michael, his wife Anne, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and their children Aaron, Katrina, Adin and Elise; daughter Jennifer Nguyen, her husband Khoa, of Savannah, Georgia, and their children, Luke, Elijah and Ryder; son Mark, his wife JenMarie, of Atlanta, Georgia, and their children Auguste and Eero; daughter Emily Craw, her husband Anthony, of Grand Blanc and their children Julian and Benjamin; and son Daniel of Seattle, Washington.
