    Mrs. DuBois Dies at 76 In Hospital
    WHEATFIELD-Mrs. Anna Christine DuBois, 2363 Niagara Road, a lifelong resident here, died today (March 6, 1965) at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She Was 76.
    She was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.
    Surviving are five sons, Arthur and Herbert DuBois, of the Town of Wheatfield, Edwin DuBois, Town of Niagara, and William A. and Walter E. DuBois, both of Niagara Falls; three daughters. Mrs. Herbert (Eleanor) Wienke, Mrs. Leonard (Ruth) Hassen and Mrs. Arthur (Elizabeth) Heuer, all of Wheatfield; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Haseley, Town of Lewiston, Mrs. Rosina Milleville of Wheatfield; 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
    Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St., North Tonawanda and at 2:30 p.m. at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church by Rev. Albert Bahr, pastor. Burial will be in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery.
    The family said that contributions to the Holy Ghost Lutheran Church building fund are acceptable as tribute.

    Arthur P.J. DuBois, 93, who served for 65 years with Bergholz Fire Company, died Monday (July 28, 2003) in Elderwood Health Care Center at CrestWood after a brief illness.
    He was born in the Town of Niagara and attended local schools.
    DuBois was a lifelong member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Bergholz, where he served as trustee, elder, vice chairman, chairman and treasurer of its board. He also served on the Building Committee and several other committees and boards.
    He was also a former member of the Lutheran Layman's League.
    A charter member of Bergholz Fire Company, DuBois served as assistant secretary, secretary, vice president and president and was a member of the Building Committee. He also played with the Bergholz German Band for more than 30 years.
    He worked as maintenance superintendent at General Abrasives in Niagara Falls for 44 years, retiring in 1975.
    DuBois enjoyed vegetable gardening.
    His wife of 61 years, Marion Haseley-Walck DuBois, died in 1996.
    Survivors include a son, Duane of Sanborn; a daughter, Jane Andrews of Sanborn; a brother, Walter of Niagara Falls; and two granddaughters.
    Services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Niagara Road and Luther Street, Bergholz. Burial will be in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery, Bergholz

    She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Bergholz and the Wheatfield Senior Citizens.

    Funeral services will be held Monday for Edwin DuBois of the Town of Niagara, who died Friday (Dec. 27, 1985) in Roswell Park Memorial Institute in Buffalo. He was 71. An electrician at General Abrasives in Niagara Falls for 45 years, Mr. DuBois was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Lillian DeVantier, one daughter, Mrs. Gerard (Judy) Baribeau of Toronto, and three sons, Grant and his wife, Mary, of Lake Forest, Ill., Glenn, of the Town of Niagara, and Mark, of Logan, Utah. He is also survived by three sisters and three brothers, Ruth Hassin (sic-sp) and Arthur DuBois, both of Wheatfield, Mrs. Herbert (Eleanor) Wienke of the Town of Niagara, Walter DuBois of Niagara Falls, and Elizabeth Heuer and Herbert DuBois, both of Wheatfield. He is also survived by four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Minnie Camann and one brother, William. Friends may call at the Hamp Funeral Home, Adam and Seymour streets, Tonawanda, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9p.m. today. Services are at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore Road, Wheatfield, with Rev. Herbert R. Maxwell officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.     Walter E. DuBois, age 90, of Niagara Falls, was called to his heavenly home to be with our Lord and Savior, after a brief illness, on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at his residence, with his loving family by his side. Born October 23, 1918 to the late Albert and Christine (Ferchen) DuBois. He attended LaSalle High School and worked on the family farm for many years. Walter later was employed as a plumber with Camann Plumbing and Heating in Wheatfield for 35 years, until his retirement, after which he spent many hours helping out at the DuBois Funeral Home. He was a lifelong member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, where he was a former elder and trustee for many years. Walter enjoyed bowling on the Bergholz Bowling League for 20 years, enjoyed gardening, woodworking and spending quality time with his dear grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Survivors include his beloved wife, Minnie (Wendt) DuBois; they were united in marriage July 10, 1943; thee children, Karen (Fred) Goltz of Niagara Falls, Robert DuBois of Wheatfield and Curtis (Kathy) DuBois of Niagara Falls; nine grandchildren, Hao, Tim, Heather, Thao, April, Marci, Julie, Bill and Paul; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.     Mrs. Heuer moved to New Jersey a few years ago.
    She was born Elizabeth DuBois in the Town of Niagara and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.
    In the 1940s and 1950s, she was a production worker at Moore Business Forms, Niagara Falls, for 15 years.
    She was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church and was treasurer of the Women of the Church for many years. She also enjoyed cooking.
    Mrs. Heuer's husband of 34 years, Arthur, died in January 1981.
    Survivors include a daughter, Beth Oliva of Monroe, NJ; two brothers, Arthur DuBois of Wheatfield and Walter DuBois of Niagara Falls; and two grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday in St. James Church, Niagara Road and Rohr Street. Burial will be in the church cemetery

    A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of the American Legion Wheatfield Post 1451.
    Mr. DuBois was employed at General Abrasives in Niagara Falls as a millwright for 41 years. He retired in 1987.
    He was an exempt member of the Bergholz Volunteer Fire County, a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Walmore Road and a member of the Wheatfield Senior Citizens.
    He was predeceased by his first wife, Emily (Walck) DuBois, who died on Feb. 3, 1980. Mr. DuBois is survived by his second wife, Ardis (Haseley) DuBois of Wheatfield; two sons, Douglas DuBois of Amherst and Calvin DuBois of Sanborn; a stepson, Gary Wolf of Wheatfield; a step-daughter, Barbara Savard of Riverside, Calif.; two brothers, Arthur DuBois of Wheatfield and Walter DuBois of Niagara Falls; two sisters, Eleanor Wienke of Wheatfield and Elizabeth Heuer of Bergholz; a granddaughter; a grandson; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Minnie Camann, Ruth Hassan, William DuBois and Edwin DuBois. Retired September 2021. Dedicated employee and mentor. During senior year of high school, 1973 – 1974, received award for All League Football team, positions as Guard and Punter. Loved supporting many sports at all levels – especially football and baseball. Closely followed Buffalo, college and high school teams including Bills, Sabres, Braves, Bandits, UB Bulls, NU Purple Eagles, North Tonawanda and Starpoint school systems. Little league baseball coach and volunteer (late 1970s – 1980s). Player in Niagara County slo-pitch softball league, 1st baseman, for many years. Town of Wheatfield Recreation Dept. baseball coach approx.. 5 years. Avid supporter of his children’s activities and participation in Tae Kwon Do classes, dance recitals, school plays and musicals, participation in soccer, basketball, volleyball and track & field. Always there to provide support and guidance. Enjoyed taking care of home yard work and landscaping, walking family dogs and visiting family. Always open to enjoy travel adventures with spouse, Joyce, and children. Loved visiting the North Tonawanda city market and supported with his vote for #1 in USA for 2023. Steadfast Christian, faith throughout life. He was a lifelong member at St. James Lutheran Church, and served as Trustee and volunteered for related projects such as landscaping. Traveled to Israel in 2018 with a group from The Chapel Crosspoint Campus. Enjoyed reading the two local newspapers and Metro News, Bee and Tribune. Was well informed about local, state and national issues. Supported many charitable organizations including Buffalo City Mission, Feed More WNY, Samaritan’s Purse and Wounded Warrior Project. Ice cream was his favorite treat. When on vacation travels, ice cream and gelato were involved!Enjoyed attending high school class reunions and family reunions.     Calvin Herbert DuBois, age 64 of Sanborn, NY, was called to his heavenly home on September 17, 2021 at the Niagara Hospice House in Lockport. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on November 29, 1956; son of the late Herbert and Emily (Walck) DuBois. A graduate of Niagara Wheatfield High School, and Alfred State Technical College. Calvin was employed with the Carpenters Local 276, until his retirement. He was a life long active member of St. Peter's Lutheran Chruch, Sanborn, where he served as a reader, trustee, church school picnic committee, and anytime something needed to be repaired, he was there. Calvin was also a member of the Sanborn Fire Company Band, Sanborn Business Men's Bowling, and the 3F Club of Youngstown. In his younger years, he was on the church league basket ball team, church bowling, and floor hockey. He enjoyed the quality time spent with his family, hunting, snowmobiling, and vacations at the camp in Allegany State Park. Survivors include his wife, Lisa M. (Heard) DuBois. They were married May 30, 1981; two children, Danielle E. (Seth) Ardrey of Ft. Collins, and Jeffrey C DuBois (Fiance Liz Warkentin) of Sanborn; a brother, Douglas (Barb) DuBois; and many brother and sister in laws; nieces, nephews, and cousins.Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Tuesday, September 21, from 4-8 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Thomas Thorstad, on Wednesday, September 22 , at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6167 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY 14132. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Born in Seoul, South Korea on July 17, 1980. She was adopted by her loving parents, Frederick L. and Karen J. (DuBois) Goltz of Niagara Falls, at the age of five. After her adolescent years, she earned a Bachelor's degree from Buffalo State College. After graduation, she was employed at the college. Heather married William J. Day on September 4, 2015, and they were blessed with a son, Banner Avery Day, and a daughter, Scarlett Mae Day. She was a dedicated wife and mother, and loved by many that knew her. Heather was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz. She was preceded in death by her father in 2014.Hobbies and interests included traveling, cooking, taking many photos of her two babies, hanging out with friends, attending softball games, and was a life long fan of the Buffalo Bills, Josh Allen, and a Yankees fan. Besides her husband, children, and mother, other survivors include three brothers, Tung (Hong) Ngo of Niagara Falls, Thao (Anh) Tran of San Jose, CA, and Hao (Lan) Phan of Seattle, WA; nieces and nephews, Sara and Emily Ngo, Joshua and Kayla Phan, Gracie and Henry Tran; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Wednesday (February 10) from 3-7 p.m. Private services will be held with her family on another day, with the Rev. Denton White, officiating. Following the service, interment will take place in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield, NY.
