    SANBORN - Esther N. (Beutel) Walck, formerly of Sanborn, died in Northgate Manor Nursing Home, Wheatfield, Tuesday (Aug. 11, 1987). She was 93. Mrs. Walck was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church and its Joy Circle group. She enjoyed sewing. She was the wife of the late Emil Walck. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Al (Agnes) Turner and Ella Durkee of North Tonawanda, Minnie Zobrist of Las Vegas, Nev.; a son, the Rev. Bernhard Walck of Simi Valley, Calif., nine grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore Road, conducted by the Rev. Herbert R. Maxwell. Burial will be at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon today at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. Contributions to St. Peter's Lutheran School are acceptable as tribute.

    SANBORN-Edward J. Beutel, 66, of Robinson Road, died at his home Thursday (Sept. 28, 1967).
    Mr. Beutel had been employed for the last four years as a farm hand at the Adolph Moll farm, where he made his home.
    Born in the Town of Wheatfield July 5, 1901, he was the son of John and Hulda Pfohl Beutel and had been a resident of the area throughout his life. He had been employed in farm work. at various locations.
    Survivors include two brothers, William and Hubert Beutel, both of Sanborn; three sisters, Mrs. Edwin Chaal (sic), Wilson, and Mrs. Emil Walck and Mrs. Adolph DeVantier, both of Niagara Falls.
    Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Pike and Jones Funeral Home, the Rev. Alfred W. Walck officiating. Burial will be in Wheatfield Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the funeral home, with the family present from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

    A native of Wheatfield, Beutel was a lifelong member and former trustee of St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Walmore.
    He was a grain thresher from 1920 to 1950 in the towns of Wheatfield, Lewiston and Cambria. He then worked as a well driller throughout Niagara County from 1950 until he retired in 1965.
    Survivors include his wife, the former Clara L. H. Bartel; two sons, John of the Town of Tonawanda and Herman; a daughter, Hilda Snyder; a sister, Agatha Schaal of Gasport; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Saturday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6167 Walmore Road, Walmore. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery

    She was a teacher's aide at Spruce Elementary School for several years and volunteered at DeGraff Memorial Hospital.
    Her first husband, Lawrence Donner, died in 1979.
    Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Alfons; a daughter, Becky Parnell of Port Richey, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Sharon Comstock of Wichita, Kan., and Christine Pasek of the City of Tonawanda; a brother, the Rev. Bernard Walck of Lady Lake, Fla.; two sisters, Minnie Zobrist of Baton Rouge, La., and Kelley Durkee of North Tonawanda; five grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.

    Bernhard "Bernie" Emil Walck, 87, born April 14, 1922 in Wheatfield, NY to Emil Frederick Walck and Esther Natalie Beutel, passed away July 11, 2009 in the care of his family members at his daughter, Sharon's home in Green Cove Springs, FL. He grew up in the Niagara Falls area. He graduated from Capital University and Trinity Seminary in Columbus, OH. Bernhard served churches in the New York, Ontario, Canada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Montana and California. During his stay in Montana, he also served as civilian chaplain to the United States Air Force radar base at Opheim, MT. Bernhard was married to Florence Evelyn Pepper in 1943. This union lasted for fifty two years. Four children were born to this union, Sharon, Cassandra, Deborah and Rebekah. Since his retirement, Bernhard has been a volunteer chaplain at the hospital in Orange Park, Florida, Homewood Village in The Villages and served as "Elder of Heart" at Leesburg Assembly of God. During his stay in Florida, Bernhard renewed his acquaintance with a former parishioner, Allie Taylor Coombes. This led to their marriage on April, 19, 1998 at the Leesburg First Assembly of God where they held their membership for years. Bernhard is survived by his wife, Allie; children, Sharon Lloyd of Green Cove Springs, Florida, Cassandra Casto of Mansfield, Ohio, Deborah Williams of Delaware, Ohio, Rebekah Strickland of Greensboro, North Carolina; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.     Edna Rose Agatha DeVantier Walck, age 98 of Wheatfield, NY, was called peacefully to her heavenly home, on August 25, 2021. Born in the Town of Niagara, NY on October 17, 1922; daughter of the late Adolph and Hilda (Beutel) DeVantier. A life long member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Sanborn, where she was currently the oldest member. Edna was active with St. Peter's Senior Citizens, the Cradle Roll, and quilter's group. She was also active with Daus House, in Bergholz as a curator for visitors. Edna and her late husband, Hugo C. Walck, were united in marriage on June 7, 1947. He passed on October 3, 1994. They maintained a home in Florida for many years, and welcomed family and friends to stay there. Hugo and Edna traveled extensively in Europe, the Pacific Islands, Australia, and caravanned cross country, into the Canadian Rockies, up to Alaska. Edna and her sister Lillian, enjoyed traveling to the Holy Land. She enjoyed baseball, and was a fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, and the Atlanta Braves. Edna was an accomplished horse back rider, and naturally musically gifted in playing the piano and organ. Earlier in life, Edna was employed at Moore Business Forms in the 1950's, Biagios Quality Inn located in Niagara Falls, as the head housekeeper, and then worked at Hotel Niagara when John's Restaurant took it over. Survivors include her loving daughters, Brenda and Linda, and their husbands, Joel Jaffe and Michael Rozyczko; a grandson, Michael Rozyczko; special niece, Judy Baribeau; special nephews, Grant, Glenn and Mark DuBois; many other nieces and nephews; and a great nephew, Harley. Edna was also preceded in death by her brother, Bert DeVantier; and sister, Lillian DuBois.Friends are invited to join with her family, for services to be held on Wednesday, September 1, at 2:00 p.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY 14132, with the Rev. Thomas Thorstad, officiating. There will be no prior visitation. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.     TOWN OF NIAGARA - Bert A. DeVantier, 64, of Lockport Road, died Sunday (May 7,1995) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston. He was born Feb. 6, 1931, in the Town of Niagara, the son of Adolph and Hilda (Beutel) DeVantier. He married Janice M. Kriedemann on Sept. 3, 1955. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.     Elton Schaal of Wilson passed away May 18, 2015 at the age of 85. Son of the late Edwin and Agathe Schaal and husband to the late Elizabeth (Morton) and brother to the late Helen Wollaber and Dolores Eckler. Elton was a local farmer and worked for Harrison Radiator. A United States Army Veteran who served during the Korean War. Elton was a devoted Christian and lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wilson, NY.

    He had a deep love for the land and his farm animals. He enjoyed selling his crops at the Niagara Falls and North Tonawanda City Markets. Most of all, he loved being at home and spending time with his family.

    He is survived by his children, Dorothy (George) Preston of Ithaca NY, Nancy Simmons of Wilson, NY, Gloria (Thomas) Ierardi of Skaneateles NY; his sister, Ruth (Gale) Pasquarette; and his six grandchildren, Geoffrey and Emma Preston, Kiersten and Benjamin Simmons, Maria and Alex Ierardi.

    Family and friends are invited to Hamilton and Clark Funeral Home, 270 Young St, Wilson NY 14172 on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. - noon.     John W. Beutel, 66, of the Town of Tonawanda, died Friday (Sept. 24, 1999) in Kenmore Mercy Hospital after a lengthy illness.
    Born in Sanborn, he attended Trott Vocational High School in Niagara Falls. Beutel served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. He was stationed in Germany and achieved the rank of corporal before his discharge.
    Before and after his military service, he worked in the family business, William Beutel and Sons, a well drilling business. He worked there until 1964 when he went to work at the General Motors Chevrolet Engine Plant in the Town of Tonawanda. He worked there for 33 years as a repairman, retiring in 1997.
    In 1964, he married Patricia Ann Hickey. They settled in Tonawanda, where they were members of St. Amelia's Roman Catholic Church. Beutel was active in the parish's annual Catholic Charities Drive and was a past treasurer of the Tonawanda Boy Scout Troop 229.
    He also was a member of the Western New York Gas and Steam Engine Association; the Western New York Two-Cylinder Club, the Western New York Railway Historical Society; and the Niagara Frontier Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society.
    Prayers will be said at 8:30 A.M. Monday in the D. Lawrence Ginnane Funeral Home, 3215 Delaware Ave., Kenmore, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 in St. Amelia's Church, 2999 Eggert Road, Town of Tonawanda. Entombment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda

    Herman David Beutel, 69, of Sanborn, NY passed away on Monday June 5th, 2006 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, Niagara County, NY, after a brave battle with lung cancer.
    He was born in Sanborn, NY, on April 10, 1937, to William and Clara [ Bartel ] Beutel. Mr. Beutel attended St. Andrews School, in Pekin; Wilson High School, Trott Vocational High School, in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY, and Bailey Technical School, in St. Louis, MO. He worked with his father and brother John in the family business, William Beutel and Sons Well Drilling. He also worked as a diesel mechanic for Brockway Trucks; Massaro Detroit Diesel; Niagara Diesel and Niagara Falls Coach Lines, prior to retiring on April 1, 1999.
    Mr. Beutel served in the United States Army from August 16, 1960 to August 9, 1962. Most of his active duty was in Okinawa, Japan. He received and honorable discharge and completed six years in the reserve duty locally. On August 18, 1978 he married the former Carol [ Reid ] Morgan, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, in Sanborn, NY. His hobbies included restoring old tractors and traveling. He traveled extensively with his wife Carol to all fifty States, seven Canadian Provinces, the Caribbean area and eight countries in Europe.
    He was a lifetime member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church - Walmore, Sanborn, NY,a member of the Operating Engineers Local 17, Sanborn Area Historical Society and the Sanbornite Seniors.
    Surviving is his wife Carol, sister Hilda Snyder, an aunt Gladys Beutel, of Sanborn; step sons, John Reid Morgan, of Lake Orion, MI; David Justin [ Ivy ] Morgan;granddaughter Kylie Morgan, all of Parma Heights OH; sisters in law Pat [ late John ] Beutel, Tonawanda, Erie County, NY; Ellen Reid, of Belmar, NJ; Marie [ Col. Larry ] Grundhauser, CO Springs, CO, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
    Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother John Beutel; brother in law William Snyder, sister in law Pat [ Bruce ] Erhardt and one nephew, Timothy Snyder.
    The family will be present Wednesday from 4 - 7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, SANBORN, 5893 Hoover Road.     Howard H. Beutel of Lockport, NY passed away on Saturday April 28, 2018. Born on February 26, 1934 in Sanborn, NY and lived there most of his life. He was the son of Hubert and Gladys Bartel Beutel. Howard served in the Air Force from 1953 – 1961 and retired from Harrison Radiator in 1991. He enjoyed music, playing the fiddle and performing with friends, reading and building small windmills. Howard was a member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville.

Beutel was born in North Tonawanda, New York on September 5, 1949 to Hubert and Gladys (Bartel) Beutel. Rev. Beutel grew up in Sanborn, went to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and School, then later Starpoint High School. He graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary, in Springfield, Illinois in 1973 with a Master of Divinity. He then served at Redeemer and First Lutheran Church in Monkton and Logan Township, Ontario, He served at Redeemer Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda since 1983 until the present. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking, barbecuing, his John Deere, traveling, target shooting, and the outdoors. Rev. Beutel was predeceased by his parents and his brothers Jerry and Howard Beutel. 
    Rev. Beutel is survived by his wife of 47 years Kathleen (Lange) Beutel, father of Laura (Ryan) Allen, Heidi Beutel, and Eric (Heidi Edmands) Beutel, brother of Raymond (Amanda), Bonita (the late Leonard) Forth, brother-in-law of Gail and Arlene Beutel. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and his Redeemer Family.

    Charles D. Wollaber passed away Friday October 6, 2017. Born in North Tonawanda on April 9, 1966, he was the son of the late Helen Schaal Wollaber and the late Burnette Wollaber. Charles owned and operated Wollaber Electric. He is currently the President of the Niagara County Motorcycle Club. Charles also enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and his dog Hurricane.

    Beside his stepmother Doris, Charles is survived by his wife of 20 years, Marcia (nee Milstead) Wollaber, his sister Carol (Bob) Lamb; brother in law of Gary, Mark, Sue and the late David Milstead. He is also survived by his niece, Arianna Lamb and nephews, Harley and Cody Milstead and several other nieces and nephews.     He was born Nov 14, 1964, in Clarion, Pa., the son of Gale C. and Ruth M. (Schaal) Pasquarette of Lockport.
    The 1982 Wilson Central High School graduate had lived in Cambria and Wilson for most of his life.
    On June 6, 1987, he married Susan Johannes in St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
    Mr. Pasquarette worked as a model-maker for the Moore Research Center on Grand Island for the past seven years. He also had his New York State Tool and Die Journeyman's Certificate. At the time of his death, he was attending Niagara County Community College and studying for a mechanical technicians degree. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
    He was active in recreational sports, including volleyball, and softball. He enjoyed bicycling and riding his motorcycles. In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by two daughters, Amy Pasquarette and Beth Pasquarette, both of Wilson: a brother, Stephen Pasquarette of Rochester; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
    Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Hardison Funeral Home, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville. The Rev. Ronald Haefner will conduct services at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 220 Young St.
