NIAGARA FALLS - Edgar L. Schultz, 87, of Weston Avenue, died Dec. 21, 1993, at Niagara Falls Memorial Nursing Home after a short illness. A native of Niagara Falls, Schultz was born June 17, 1906, the son of Lebrecht and Auguste (Voelker)
He was employed as an accountant for more than 30 years with various businesses in Niagara Falls and enjoyed a second career with the Maid of the Mist Corp. for 21 years.
He was a member of St. Paul Calvary Lutheran Church.
In 1990, Mr. Schultz was recognized by Channel 7 as an Outstanding Senior Citizen.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth (Meyer) Schultz of Niagara Falls; two sons, Peter M. Schultz of Oswego and Jonathan M. Schultz of Lewiston; a brother, Alfred Schultz of Niagara Falls; a sister, Esther Greinert of North Tonawanda; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Cyril Burnyak will conduct services at 10 a.m. today at the Rhoney Funeral Home, 1124 Ontario Ave. Burial will be in Riverdale Cemetery, Town of Lewiston.
Memorials may be made to the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center Orthopedic Department or the American Cancer Society.

NORTH TONAWANDA - Alfred E. Schultz, 97, of Nash Road, North Tonawanda, died on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 in DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Born March 14, 1913 in Niagara Falls, the son of Lebrecht and Auguste (Voelker) Schultz.

A graduate of Niagara Falls High School, Al worked in the order department of the bonded division of the Carborundum Company for 33 years, retiring in 1978.

A lifelong member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Niagara Falls, he served on various church councils and committees, including treasurer for 15 years. Al was a volunteer for Meals On Wheels for 25 years; an avid gardener and was active in bowling and softball for several years.

Al’s beloved wife of 66 years, Ruth D. Schultz predeceased him in 2004. Survivors include a daughter, Linda J. (Jay) Dillinger of Tampa, FL; two sons, James A. (Connie) Schultz of Fayetteville, GA and Paul T. (Joyce) Schultz of North Tonawanda; a sister, Esther E. Greinert of North Tonawanda; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Edgar Schultz and a sister, Gertrude L. Roesener.

Friends may call Friday from 3-7 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls. Funeral services Saturday 11 AM in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 18th Street and Cleveland Avenue, Niagara Falls, with the Rev. David C. Hoecker officiating. The interment will be private in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Bergholz. In lieu of flowers, memorials, if desired may be made to the church, Niagara Hospice, Inc., 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094, or to Meals On Wheels, 1920-18th Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14305.

Esther E. Greinert, (nee Schultz) age 99 of North Tonawanda, October 16, 2015 in Northgate Nursing Home. Esther was a graduate of the Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing and had worked as a Registered Nurse at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. She was a volunteer with the North Tonawanda Meals on Wheels for over 32 years and was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She was the wife of the late Hugo L. Greinert who died in 2002. Beloved mother of Timothy Greinert of North Tonawanda. She was the twin sister of the late Gertrude Roesener and sister of the late Edgar and Alfred Schultz, aunt of many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc. 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. from St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1135 Oliver St., North Tonawanda.
