    SIEGMANN – William C. Siegmann, 80, died Monday (Sept. 14, 1964) at his residence, 6668 Errick Road, Town of Wheatfield. He is survived by his wife, Martha (nee Jagow); three daughters, Mrs. Leo (Mildred) Witkop, Town of Wheatfield, Mrs. Carl (Erma) England of Sanborn and Mrs. Richard (Clarice) Poerschke of North Tonawanda; four sons, Harold of North Tonawanda and Melvin, Donald and Richard Siegmann of the Town of Wheatfield; 22 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Anna Jagow of the Town of Pendleton, and a brother, Henry Siegmann of the Town of Wheatfield. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Road, where services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Clarence W. Rabe will officiate. Interment in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.

    Harold W. Siegmann Harold W. Siegmann, age 87, of North Tonawanda, was called to his heavenly home on Sunday (Dec. 13, 2009) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, NY on February 1, 1922 to the late William and Martha (Jagow) Siegmann. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was employed at the Chevrolet Plant, in the Town of Tonawanda, for 39 years, retiring as a foreman. Harold was a lifelong member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Wheatfield, was an honorary member of St. Johnsburg Fire Company and enjoyed bowling and golfing.Survivors include his wife, Vivian (Miller) Siegmann; they were united in marriage March 9, 1946; two children, James (Elaine) Siegmann and Jon (Michele) Siegmann, both of North Tonawanda; three grandchildren, Randy (Amy), Kristin and Joseph Siegmann; three great-grandchildren, Emma, Alyssa and Britt; a sister and two brothers, Clarice Poerschke, Richard (Jean) Siegmann and Roger Siegmann, all of Wheatfield; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters and four brothers, Mildred Witkop, Erma England, Melvin, Donald, Lester and Howard Siegmann. Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road (Bergholz), in Wheatfield, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Ronald D. Born in North Tonawanda, NY on May 18, 1930; daughter of William and Martha (Jagow) Siegmann. A graduate of North Tonawanda High School, she was a devoted mother and homemaker. Clarice was a life long member of St. John Lutheran Church in Wheatfield, where she was active in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, PTL, Ladies Aide Society, also a member of the Wheatfield Garden Club, Wheatfield Republican Club, Historical Society of North German Settlements in WNY, an Elections Inspector for Niagara County Board of Elections, and enjoyed sewing, gardening, playing cards and dominoes.Clarice was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Poerschke on May 26, 2007. They were united in marriage on May 15, 1954; three brothers and two sisters, Harold (Vivian) Siegmann, Melvin (Mae) Siegmann, Erma (Daryl) England, Mildred (Leo) Witkop, and Donald Siegmann.Survivors include four children, Donna (Donald) House, Carol (Terry) Vosburgh both of Sanborn, Susan Poerschke of Medina, and Keith (Karen) Poerschke of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Andrew (Amanda) House, Dan (Nicole) House, Gregory House, Jason (Minell) Poerschke, and Nathan Poerschke; great-grandchildren, Claire and Parker House; a brother, Richard (Jean) Siegmann; sisters-in-law, Rosemary Siegmann and Annamarie Poerschke.Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Friday (December 11) from 3-8 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev.     Donald P. Siegmann, age 73 of the Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY, died Sunday October 16, 2005, in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness.
    He was a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield, born on July 2, 1932, in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY, the son of William and Martha [ Jagow ] Siegmann, where he attended local schools. Donald served in the Korean War in the United States Army from November 18, 1952 to November 17, 1954.
    He was employed as a construction laborer through Local 210 and had been employed by many local building contractors, including W. W. Kimmins & Sons of Kenmore, NY. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, a 50 year member of the St. Johnsburg Volunteer Fire Company and a 50 year member of the Wheatfield American Post # 1451.
    Donald enjoyed farming and gardening and volunteering at the fire hall.
    His family was very important to him, especially spending time with his grandchildren.
    Surviving is his wife of 47 years, the former Rosemary Hefferon; three sons: Douglas [ Theresa ] Siegmann; Thomas [ Susan ] Siegmann and Rodney [ Dawn ] Siegmann, all of Wheatfield; a daughter, Brenda [ Martin ] Perry of Niagara Falls; his twin brother, Richard [ Jean ] Siegmann of Wheatfield; a brother Harold [ Vivian ] Siegmann of North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY; a sister, Clarice [ Richard ] Poerschke of Wheatfield; sister-in-law, Mae Siegmann; a cousin Roger Siegmann; and 7 grandchildren.
    He was the brother of the late Melvin Siegmann, Erma England and Mildred Witkop, and cousin of the late Howard and Lester Siegmann.
    The family will be present at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, SANBORN, 5893 Hoover Road, from 27 - 9 PM, Monday and 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM, Tuesday.
    Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM, at St. John Lutheran Church, Ward Road and Niagara Falls Blvd., with the Rev. Rev Ronald Oravec, officiating.
    Burial will be in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY.
    Should friends desire memorials may be made to the St. John Lutheran Church or the St. Johnsburg Volunteer Fire Company.

A lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church in Wheatfield, he served in the United States Army and was a decorated Korean combat veteran. Richard was a member of the American Legion Wheatfield Post 1451, St. Johnsburg Volunteer Fire Company for 66 years, and Local 210 for over 60 years, working in construction until his retirement.Survivors include his loving wife, Jean (Martin) Siegmann; four children, Cindy (Delmar) Jones, Richard (Lynne) Siegmann, Timothy (Brenda) Siegmann, and Paul (Jackie) Siegmann; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a sister in law, RoseMary Siegmann; and cousin, Roger (Judy) Siegmann.Predeceased by a twin brother, Donald Siegmann, Clarice (Richard) Poerschke, Melvin (Mae) Siegmann, Irma (Darl) England, Harold (Vivian) Siegmann, and Mildred (Leo) Witkop.Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev.     Life Story


    The world lost a beautiful soul, Blake Austin Chaffee, also known as Buford, 22, of the Town of Niagara, NY. He went home to be with his ‘Pa’ and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 7, 2023.  Born on September 25, 2000 in Williamsville, NY, he was the son of Michael Chaffee and Deena L. (Marohn) Chaffee.

     
    Buford graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School in 2018. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Bergholz. He was employed by KWH where he worked for his Uncle, Kevin Haseley, CPM, WNY Mobile Home and Jim’s Trucking and Paving.  Most importantly, because of his vast knowledge and kindness, at a moments notice he would help anyone with anything, be it a phone call or even someone stranded on the side of the road. He spent numerous hours in the garage with his 'Pa', Jeff Marohn, learning so many things.  His mind that never stopped truly made him a 'jack-of-all-trades.’

     
    In addition to his beloved parents, Blake is survived by his brother, Gage (Lisa Dussault) Chaffee; fur siblings, Ryder, Ninja and CJ; fur niece, Oakley, who he affectionally called 'sunglasses'; grandparents, Brenda (late Jeff) Marohn and Karen Chaffee and Gary Chaffee and way to many special aunts, uncles and cousins to list by name.  He will be forever in the hearts of his family and friends, who he referred to as 'buddy', especially Chris Dingey, Paul Boyd and Jim Rose. He was predeceased by his treasured uncles, Doni and Bruce; his dog, Bailey; cat, Cashmere and so many dear relatives and friends.

     
    Blake would not want you to be come dressed up.  Come as you are.  Carhartt's, jeans and work boots are preferred.

     
    The family will be present to receive friends on Friday, from 4-8 p.m., at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007).  Buford’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 14th, at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church on Niagara Road in Bergholz, with Rev. Randy Kaminska officiating.  Friends invited. Everyone assemble at the church.  Prayers of committal and interment will follow in St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery, Bergholz, NY.  Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Daniel Koslicki Memorial Scholarship Fund.  Professional arrangements are under the care of the Goodlander family.
