    LYNDONVILLE — Alice E. Krisher, 82, of 10684 Mill Road, Lyndonville, died Sunday evening,July 20, 1997 at Orchard Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Krisher had been ill for the last 10 months. Bom Jan. 3, 1915 in Niagara Falls, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Wittcop) Retzlaff. Mrs. Krisher grew up in the Niagara Falls area.She married Vernon W. Krisher on Feb. 9, 1933. She moved,together with her family, to the Lyndonville area in 1943 where she worked on the family farm and raised her family. She worked for two years during World War II at Bell Aircraft Mrs. Krisher was a member of the Ashwood Wesleyan Church of Lyndonville where she taught Sunday School at one time and was a member of the Missionary Society of the church. She was at one time a member of the Farm Bureau.She enjoyed embroidery and needle work and gardening. A favorite pastime was traveling. Together with her husband, she wintered in Florida.New York City and Atlanta, Ga.were favorite cities.Mrs. Krisher is survived by her husband of 64 years, Vemon W. Krisher Sr.; five daughters and two sons, Joan (Jack) Thomas of Lyndonville and Tarpon Springs, Fla.,Vemon W. (Faye) Krisher Jr. of Alden, Suzanne (Henry) Hubert of Tarpon Springs, Fla., Marjorie Mapes of Medina, Carol (Jim Presher) Fulcomer of Atlanta, Ga., Danny L. (Christine) Krisher of Medina,Diane L.     HERBERT JOHN RETZLAFF, 82, of Port Richey died Friday at the Hernando-Pasco Hospice in Hudson. A native of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY, he moved to this area in 1962 from Lockport, N. Y. He was a retired painter for a building construction company, a Protestant, a World War II Army veteran, and a member of the Masons and Veterans of Foreign Wars. .He is survived by a daughter, Barbara Schlau of Medina, Orleans County, NY; two stepsons, John L. Grimes of Coral Springs and Thomas N. Grimes of Crystal River; a stepdaughter, Mary Grimes of Front Royal, Va.; 17 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.     Joan A. Thomas, 86, of Medina, passed away peacefully on Thursday May 14, 2020 at Absolut Care in Gasport, surrounded by family. Joan was born on September 16, 1933 and was a daughter of Vernon and Alice Krisher.
    She married the love of her life, John "Jack" A. Thomas, on June 18, 1971 who predeceased her on October 18, 2015.
    Joan was a graduate of Lyndonville High School and Houghton College. She taught at Lyndonville Central School for 30 plus years.
    Joan and Jack loved to travel around in their RV in their younger years and go on cruises with family later in life. In her free time, Joan loved to be outside working in her garden or playing her piano. She was dedicated to her church community and played organ and piano during Sunday services. After retirement, they lived in Florida during the winter months and loved to host family and friends in their Tarpon Springs home. In recent years, Joan looked forward to her Tuesday dinner dates with her granddaughter, Ashley.
    Joan is survived by her six children, Dawn (Anthony) Kwiatkowski, David (Bobbi) Huntington, Mark Thomas, Judy (Bill) Wright, Jeffrey (Debbie) Thomas and Jon Thomas; her grandchildren, which include Christopher, Darren, Nicole, Ashley, Nathan, Aaron, Kristen, Suzy, Ryan, Justin, Kayla, Tammy and Jay; her siblings, Suzanne Lorenz, Carol Fulcomer and Dan (Christine) Krisher; along with many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to the love of her life, Jack, she was also predeceased by her parents, Vernon and Alice Krisher; her son, Douglas Huntington; and daughter, Jacquie Atkinson; her siblings, Vernon "Bud" Krisher, Margie Mapes and Diane Palmer.
    There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced. Burial will be in the Lynhaven Cemetery, Lyndonville, NY.

    GASPORT — Douglas N. Huntington, of Gasport, passed away Friday morning, January 21, 2011 at his home. Mr. Huntington was born in Medina, NY on September 27, 1958, son of Joan (Krisher) Thomas and the late Norman Huntington.

    Mr. Huntington had lived in the Middleport-Gasport area all of his life. He was a graduate of Royalton-Hartland High School where he wrestled and also played football and ran track.

    He served in the US Navy from l976 to l978. He and his wife, Deborah (Tryloff) Huntington were married June 4, 1983. Mr. Huntington enjoyed his family and he coached wrestling and baseball at Royalton-Hartland.

    He is survived by his wife, Deborah Huntington; one son, Nathan Huntington of Medina; two grandchildren, Dakoda Huntington and Lillyjean Huntington. Also surviving is his mother, Joan (Jack) Thomas of Lyndonville; his grandfather, Vernon Krisher, also of Lyndonville; and his step-mother, Nancy Huntington of Middleport. Also surviving are his sisters and brothers, Dawn (Tony) Kwiatkowski of Lyndonville, David (Bobbi) Huntington of Gasport, Barbara (John) Newton of Middleport, Kevin (Darcy) Payne of Lockport and James (Davy) Payne of Middleport; his step-brothers and step-sisters, Mark Thomas of Akron, Jeffrey (Debbie) Thomas of Depew, Judith (William) Wright of Florida, Jackie Thomas of Florida and Jon Thomas of Tonawanda. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

    Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State Street, Middleport, NY, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.
