TONAWADA July 3-Mrs. Emma M. Haseley, 52 years old, died yesterday morning at her home, 140 Schenk Street, After a brief illness with heart disease. Mrs. Haseley was born in Walmore, Niagara County. She has been a resident of North Tonawanda for the last 29 years. Surviving are a husband, August D. Haseley; a. son, Harvey A. Haseley, a daughter, Miss Irene A. Haseley, all of North Tonawanda; father, John D. Walck of Walmore; Three brothers, Anthony and Albert Walck of Walmore and Andrew Walck of Sanborn, and three sisters, Mrs. Herman Bruening of Akron, N.Y., Mrs. Alvin Haseley, of Warren's Corners, and Mrs. Louis Gelz of La Salle. Haseley, 81, had cancer for five years.

He also was an original member of the Wild Turkey Federation and enjoyed hunting, especially wild turkeys.

Richard was born October 9, 1920 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Louis and Celeste (Walck) Geltz. He was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School in Niagara Falls and was a lifelong resident. Richard was a Millwright, employed by Wendt's Manufacturing in Niagara Falls, NY, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Richard was an avid bowler, fisherman and model ship builder. He loved baseball, especially the NY Yankees. He married Caroline (Coyle) Geltz on December 12, 1970. Caroline predeceased him on November 6, 2006. Kenneth L. Geltz, lifetime area resident, passed away on Monday, February 09, 2015 at Buffalo General Hospital after a brief illness. He was 91. He was born in the Town of Niagara on October 11, 1923, a son of the late Louis and Celeste (Walck) Geltz. He attended local schools and then entered the United States Army Air Corps in 1944 and served in Japan during World War II until his honorable discharge in 1946.

After the War he worked as an industrial welder at Bell Air Craft and then as a heavy equip- ment operator and Foreman for the Town of Lewiston, retiring in 1986 as a Foreman in the drainage department.

He married Shirley Mae Taylor in 1948 and they remained happily married for 66 years until his passing. He was a lifetime member of Grace Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley M. Geltz; two sons, Ronald (Patricia) Geltz of Lockport and Robert Geltz of Niagara Falls. He is also survived by two grandsons, Stephen (Jenny) and Matthew Geltz and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Richard (late Caroline) Geltz and two sisters-in-law, Rebecca (late Richard) Taylor and Marion (late William) Mussel.

A native of Wheatfield, Walck had been a Cambria town councilman for 12 years and intended to run for re-election next fall.
He had no opponent in his last campaign for re-election in 1987, when he was nominated by the Republican and Conservative parties.
Walck retired June 30 as a compositor at the Tonawanda News after 42 years in the printing industry.
He began his apprenticeship at the Lockport Union-Sun and Journal, then worked at the Niagara Gazette. He joined the Tonawanda News in 1960 and had served as chapel chairman for the International Typographical Union.
He was a 17-year member of the Pekin Fire Company, serving in various offices, including as treasurer.
He also was vice president of the Exempt Firemen of Pekin, local publicity director for the Lutheran Laymen's League and a member of Messiah Lutheran Church of Lewiston.
Walck had coached baseball in Cambria and was a member of the Tonawanda and Niagara County Sportsmen's associations.
Survivors include his wife, the former Jean Becken; two sons, Jerry of Lewiston and Donald; two daughters, Patricia Purdy of Williamsville and Pamela; four brothers, Herbert and Clarence, both of Lyndonville, Earl of Niagara Falls and Delbert of Chesapeake, Va.; two sisters, Margaret Budnack of Newfane and Edith Sherbert of Rochester, and five grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. Monday in the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park, Amherst.

HERBERT A. WALCK Mr. Herbert A. Walck, of the Town of Ridgeway, passed away on Saturday evening, March 1, 2008 at the Medina Memorial Hospital. Mr. Walck was born in Wheatfield, September 7, 1925, a son of the late Andrew and Edna (Wendt) Walck. On March 5, 1949, he married the former Janet Lund and the couple were longtime area residents. Active in the community, he was a member and Trustee of the Lyndonville United Methodist Church, Past President of the Lyndonville Lions Club, a longtime member of the Ridgeway Republican Committee and the Lyndonville Area Foundation. He was very interested in antique automobiles and was a member of the Pierce Arrow Club, Antique Automobile Association of America, Model T and Early V8 Club, and enjoyed attending Cruise Nights and the Hershey Flea Market. He was an avid reader. Twenty six years ago, he donated a kidney to his son, Stewart. He was employed by several Western New York publications including the Medina Journal Register, as a printer, and retired from FMC as a mechanic. He was well- known in the area for his heating and plumbing abilities. Survivors include his wife, Janet; a son, Stewart (Bonnie) Walck of Albion; two daughters, Sandra (Will) Zwink of Albany and Barbara (Michael) Halpern of Wilmington, NC; four grandchildren, Brenden, Alison, Jennifer and Jack; a sister, Margaret (Robert) Budnack of Newfane; two brothers, Earl Walck of Niagara Falls and Delbert (Margaret) Walck of Chesapeake, VA; two sisters-in-law, Jean Walck of Sanborn and Edna Walck of Ridgeway; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 11AM at the United Methodist Church, 102 North Main Street, Lyndonville, with the Reverend Jennifer Green officiating. Wolcottsville Man Found Dead In Car
AKRON - A Wolcottsville man was found dead in his car on Maple Road early Sunday morning, apparently from carbon monoxide poisoning according to Erie County sheriff's deputies. Bernard Bruning, 29, of Campbell's Inn, Block Church Road, was found by William Pogel of Akron, said Deputy Thomas Weston. Detective William Dispensce said the Bruning car, which had been parked at the side of the road, had a faulty exhaust system. A native of Newstead, Mr. Bruning was born Nov. 27, 1941, the son of Mr. and Mrs, Edwin Bruning. He was a member of St-Michael's Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville and a former member of the Wolcottsville Volunteer Fire Co. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Hilda B. BATAVIA — Neil E. Krull, age 79, of the Town of Hamburg, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at the Batavia VA Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. Born in North Tonawanda, NY, he was the son of the late Edward and Irene (Haseley) Krull. Mr. Krull was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He had been a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda for many years, and was known for his ministry of delivering tapes of Sunday sermon messages to church shut-ins. He also had been a past President of the Residence Council at Brompton Heights.

He is survived by two children, Sandra (Mark) Flanigan of the Town of Pendleton and Daniel (Susan) Krull of Niagara Falls, NY; five grandchildren, Mark Jr., Stacy and Stephanie Flanigan, and Alexis and Abigail Krull; his former wife, Barbara (Robert) Thomson; two sisters, Phyllis Phillips of North Tonawanda and Ellen "Bunny" Eberwein of the City of Tonawanda; and a brother, Roger (Linda) Krull of North Tonawanda.

Donald L. Walck, 53, died Friday (July 19, 2002) in a one-vehicle accident in Dansville.
Walck was born in Niagara Falls and graduated from Starpoint Central High School in 1968. He also attended the Orleans-Niagara Board of Cooperative Educational Services and Niagara County Community College. He served in the Navy from 1968 to 1972 as an aviation electrician. He was stationed at various times in California, VA and Jacksonville, Fla. He made two six-month cruises to Antarctica. Walck worked as a machinist at Ford Motor Co.'s Buffalo Stamping Plant in Hamburg for the past eight years. Before that, he had worked at Eastman Kodak County, Rochester, and at Midland Machinery County, City of Tonawanda. Walck was a member of Lutheran Church of the Messiah, Lewiston; Wheatfield Post 1451, American Legion; and the LaSalle Sportsmen's Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include a son, Jason of Sanborn; a daughter, Kathryn of Niagara Falls; his mother, Jean of Cambria; a brother, Jerry of Ransomville; and two sisters, Patricia Purdy of Wheatfield and Pamela of Cheektowaga. NIAGARA FALLS — Richard R. Mang, of Niagara Falls, died Saturday, January 7, 2012, at home. He was 88. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on July 13, 1932, the son of Raymond and Lillian (Ziehl) Mang. He attended schools here, including Kelly Business Institute.

Richard served in the US Army from 1952-1954, stationed in Germany. He, along with his dad, owned and operated Mang's Fish Market for many years, until his retirement in 1996. An avid fisherman, he also enjoyed woodworking.

He was predeceased by his wife, Norma (Fuller) Mang on August 6, 1996.

Survivors include his step-daughter, Nancy Reid of Kenmore; four step-grandchildren, David and Scott Woolsoncroft, Jacqueline Plunkett and Tammy Kopack; several great-grandchildren and cousins, and a dear friend, John W. Willmott of Niagara Falls.

Craig Kelkenberg of Akron passed, suddenly, January 4, 2015. He was born in Buffalo on October 7, 1967 to Helen (Krull) Kelkenberg and the late Louis Kelkenberg.

Craig was a member of the Akron High School class of 1985. He especially enjoyed hunting fishing, and snowmobiling. Craig loved spending time with family and watching his nephews grow. He will be greatly missed by all of his friends and loved ones.

Craig is survived by his mother Helen and two brothers; Scott (Kelli) Kelkenberg of Akron and Aaron Kelkenberg of Angelica; nephews, Preston, Trenton and Mason Kelkenberg of Akron. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends also survive him.
