Wolf was secretary of the fire company for 35 years. He also was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and the volunteer firemen's associations of Niagara County, Western New York and New York State. He was a former planning supervisor for Moore Business Forms in Niagara Falls, and he enjoyed gardening and hunting. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, the former June E. Schmidt; two sons, Ronald of Wheatfield and Gerald; a daughter, Beverly Sakalian; a sister, Hilda Stenzel of Wheatfield; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Western New York Volunteer Firemen's Association Auxiliary and the Fire Association of the State of New York Auxiliary.
Mrs. Weigand worked as a laborer at Shredded Wheat, Niagara Falls, and at Carborundum Co.
She and her husband, Adolph, enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. He died in 1986.
Survivors include two sons, John of Bergholz and Todd of Sanborn; a daughter, Margo Nye of Bergholz; a brother, Kenneth Voelker of Niagara Falls; a sister, Audrey Haseley of Shallotte, N.C.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Kenneth E. Voelker, 86, of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY, entered into rest on Sunday, August 10, 2008 surrounded by his loving family. The son of the late Edward and Elsie (Frye) Voelker, Kenneth was born on November 20, 1921 in Bergholz, NY, where he attended a one-room schoolhouse from first through eighth grade. Ken graduated from LaSalle Senior High School in 1939 and Kelley Business Institute in 1940 where he studied Accounting and was President of his class. While serving in WWII, Ken also attended Stanford University. Kenneth was a WWII veteran, serving with the 593rd Joint Assault Signal Company, 96th Infantry Division. As a member of the 96th Infantry Division, Ken was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation in recognition of extraordinary heroism in action against the enemy in the conquest of Okinawa from April 1945 to June 1945.A resident of Niagara Falls since 1946, Mr. Voelker worked at Airco Speer Carbon, retiring in 1982 after 42 years of service. He was active in establishing the Credit Union at Airco (formerly International Graphite), was a member of the Industrial Engineer Society and a member of St. James United Methodist Church. He also enjoyed many years of playing softball for Airco and was one of the oldest pitchers in the league. He enjoyed bowling and was a sports fan, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his wife and family.Ken is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ruth (Dutton) Voelker; his two daughters, Bonnie (James) O’Neill, Beverly (Rick) Ponzi, five granddaughters, Holly (Robert) Gonzalez, Stacey (Gary) Lucinski, Jamie O’Neill, Jaclyn Ponzi, Andrea Ponzi (fiancé Bill Milleville), and also five great granddaughters. His family was a source of tremendous pride for Mr. Voelker and he would get teary-eyed just talking about Ruth and their 64 years of marriage. She was born in Wheatfield on Feb. 2, 1917, to August and Hulda (Voelker) Schimschack. After marrying Wallace "Wally" Pfohl on Oct. 19, 1942, she and her husband worked on the family's dairy farm. Mrs. Pfohl traveled with her husband and five bands, including the Bergholz German Band, throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Walmore Road, and an active member of the Women of the Church for several years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Carol Walck of Sanborn; a son, Harry Dickenson of Wheatfield; two sisters, Irma DeVantier and Eunice Heuer, both of Bergholz; three brothers, Alvin Schimschack and Wilbert Schimschack, both of Bergholz, and Donald Schimschack of North Tonawanda; three grandchildren; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. He was a lifelong resident of Wheatfield.
Schimschack served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Wheatfield Post 1451, American Legion, and of Friedens United Church of Christ in North Tonawanda, where he served on various boards. He was the church cemetery sexton for many years.
Schimschack enjoyed woodworking and baseball.
His wife, the former Leona Jaeger, died in 1995.

TOWN OF WHEATFIELD — Dolores Lydia (Moll) Andrees, age 86, of the Town of Wheatfield, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on April 13, 2011. Dolores was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church and enjoyed being active in various church activities, such as choir and the Ladies Aid. She worked in food service preparation for the Niagara Wheatfield School District until her retirement. Two of her favorite hobbies were gardening and flower arranging.

Dolores was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Lydia (Schimschack) Moll; and the sister of the late Shirley M. (Gilbert) Walck. Dolores is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, William A. Andrees; two sons, Gary W. (Gail) Andrees, of Akron, NY and David L. (Marianna) Andrees of North Tonawanda; and a daughter, Susan B. (Michael) Kenyon of St. Mary's, GA; also surviving are four granddaughters, Christy Dunn, Gina Andrees, Natalie Andrees and Bethany Andrees; and two great-grandchildren, Carlton Carter and Rileigh Dunn.

She also enjoyed traveling and traveled to Israel and throughout the United States and Canada. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Reuben, who died on October 12, 1992. She was raised in Bergholz, NY in Niagara County. She also formerly resided in Lockport and North Tonawanda. She moved to the Wellsville area in 1983. During her early years, Dianne was a waitress for her Aunt and Uncle.  She was a dedicated mother and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family.
She is survived by: three daughters, Corinne (Ralph) Maday of SC, Brigette (James) Grawe of North Tonawanda, and Donna (Duane) Moderacki of North Tonawanda; six grandchildren, Adam, James, Jennifer, Jamie, Jozef, and Brett; twelve great-grandchildren, Olivia, Addison, Kendal, Carter, Ryan, Ella, Samuel, Brigette, Sophia, Leah, Allie, and William; one brother, Douglas (Gayle) Stenzel of FL; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. NIAGARA FALLS — Margo L. Nye (Wiegand), age 72, of Bergholz, was called to her heavenly home, peacefully, on September 5, 2010, in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, on June 5, 1938 to the late Adolph and Hazel (Voelker) Wiegand. A graduate of Niagara Falls High School, Class of 1956, she was employed over 35 years at Moore Business Forms, retiring as a supervisor. Margo was a lifelong member of St. James Ev. Lutheran Church in Bergholz and a member of the Red Hat Society, Moore Girls Club and the Wheatfield Senior Citizens. Hobbies and interests included traveling, dancing, Country music and her Sunday road trips with the girls. Margo will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Predeceased by her husband, Max J. Nye on May 21, 2000. They were united in marriage April 12, 1958; and son, Brian Nye on October 18, 2001.

Earl was a lifelong resident of Wheatfield, attended LaSalle High School for a year, then was a student at Niagara Wheatfield High School, graduating in their first graduating class of 1961. Earl served in the United States Navy from 1961-1963. He was self-employed in his home improvement business for several years, and later as a supervisor at DuPont Chemical, in Niagara Falls, retiring in 2001. A long time member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, in Bergholz, he held various positions including on the school board, boys basketball coach, and mowed lawn at the church cemetery. Earl was also a member of the Bergholz Fire Company, and the Bergholz German Band Colorguard. He enjoyed golfing with his buddies, was an avid sports fan, and in high school excelled in football, baseball, basketball and track. Mr. Luescher was an Army/Air Corp veteran serving during the Korean War from 1950-1954. He had been a service technician employed with Xerox Corporation in Buffalo, NY, until his retirement. Richard spent many hours enjoying his family and grandchildren often at baseball and soccer events. 
Richard was married to Audrey Kolb Luescher who predeceased him in 1975. He is survived by his two daughters Cheryl (Stephen) Jackson and Lori (James) Leising; grandchildren, Michael (Carrie), Scott (Jesse), Ryan (Sara), Benjamin (Brooke), Andrew (Andrea) and Nicole; along with great-grandchildren, Addison, Riley, Kinslee, Mark, Brooke, Audrey, Aiden and Emersyn.

After graduation, Harry had worked at various local businesses as well as helping on the family farm.Harry loved being a statistician for his Niagara Wheatfield sports teams and stayed in touch with many of the players and coaches. Harry enjoyed attending local sporting events and most Saturdays during the football season you would find him at the NW football field watching his Falcons. Being able to attend these events was made possible with the help of his good friend Brian Hapeman. Harry also enjoyed being a volunteer statistician and scorekeeper for the Lutheran Basketball League for over 45 years, it was his life.Harry often spoke about his love for music, especially German and Polka music. Harry had been a member of the Bergholz German Band and the American Legion Sikora Post Band of North Tonawanda where he played the drums for many years. Harry also took pride in participating in the Western New York Challenger Sports League’s bowling division which he attended for over 10 years.Service will be held on Tuesday (January 24) at 11:00 a.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. BUFFALO — Daniel A. "Dano" Wolf, 42, of Buffalo, NY, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, died on Tuesday January 17, 2012 at Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of Margaret (Lasher) Wolf (Richard E. Baldwin) of Buffalo, NY, and the late Gerald C. Wolf.

Daniel attended local schools including Niagara Falls High School and the former Trott Vocational High School. He was employed as a carpenter for Warren Solariums, Inc., in Tonawanda, NY. He also worked as a bartender and bouncer for several area establishments. Daniel was an avid dart player and participated in several local tournaments. He also enjoyed watching movies and golfing.

In addition to his mother; he is survived by two children, James M. (Tiffany) Wolf of Niagara Falls, NY and Kayla D. Haren of Florida; two grandchildren, James Wolf, Jr. and Aaliyah Wolf; sisters, Lori Wolf, Mary (Richard) Keller, both of Niagara Falls, NY; one brother, Glenn (Jean) Wolf of Niagara Falls, NY; his nieces and nephews, Richard Wolf, Ashley Wolf, Brandon Steinman and Jessica Williams; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Brian D. Nye, 42, a quality-control inspector at Nuttall Gear, Wheatfield, died Thursday (Oct. 18, 2001) in his Niagara Falls home following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Niagara Falls and was a former resident of Bergholz.
After his graduation from Niagara-Wheatfield High School, Nye worked in several machine shops before working at Nuttall Gear. Nye became the quality-control inspector after working there for 15 years.
He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Bergholz, and enjoyed coffee, pets, racing at the Ransomville Speedway and fishing. In addition, he liked to hunt, do home improvements, travel and help those in need.
Nye married the former Arlene J.M. Hill in 1993.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, David Smith of Niagara Falls and Jordan Smith of the Tuscarora Indian Reservation; two daughters, Tia F. Smith and Charlotte Smith, both of Niagara Falls; his mother, Margo Nye of Bergholz; a sister, Becky Silvis of Wuerzburg, Germany; a brother, Brent of Niagara Falls; his grandmother, Hazel Wiegand of Wheatfield; and two grandchildren.

Brent was a 1981 graduate of Niagara-Wheatfield High School, and was employed as a Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician, at Tyson Foods, Inc., in Buffalo, NY since 1984. He was a life long member of St. James Ev. Lutheran Church in Bergholz, member of the Whitesville Rod and Gun Club, The "BuffCon" Boys Model Club, had a love for classic cars, animals, dirt track racing, hunting, fishing, built model cars, followed NASCAR and looked forward to his yearly trip to the Daytona 500, with his special friends.
Survivors include his wife, Judy (Struzik) Nye. They were united in marriage on August 31, 2001; a sister, Becky (Billy) Silvis Jr. of Sierra Vista, AZ; mother and father-in-law, Tom and Betty Struzik, Sr.; brother-in-law, Tom (Letrice) Struzik Jr.; sisters-in-law, Arlene Nye and Marie (Al) Penfield; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
