Edward A. Doebler, 42 years old, a former resident of North Tonawanda, died today at his home on North Ridge road. He had lived at North Ridge Road for the past ten years. He is survived by a wife Louise; two sons, Wilbur and Verne; two daughters, Delores and Iverna all of North Ridge, and three brothers, Gustave C., Charles A., and Herman, all of North Tonawanda. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the residence and half an hour later at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Ridge. Rev. John Barkow will conduct the services and interment will be in the North Ridge cemetery.

Delores (nee Doebler) Beckett, 44, of 141 Delton Street, Tonawanda, died Tues July 23rd 1957 in the E J Meyer Memorial Hospital in Buffalo after a brief illness. Born in North Tonawanda, Mrs Beckett resided for the greater part of her life in Tonawanda. She was a member of St Francis Church and the Mothers Club of St Francis School. Her husband the late George Beckett died in Aug of 1952. She is survived by five daughters, Mrs Richard Barth of Buffalo and the Misses, Mary Louise, Judith Rose, Kathleen Marie and Carol Theresa Beckett and four sons, John J, George R, David J and James E Beckett all of Tonawanda, a granddaughter, Deborah Lynn Barth of Buffalo, her mother Mrs Louise Doebler, a sister Mrs Hyrum Hayes and a brother Lavern Doebler all of the Tonawanda's and another brother, Wilbert Doebler of Wilson, NY. Friends may call at the Hamp Funeral home, 37 Adam St Tonawanda where a service will be held at 9:30 am Friday followed by a Requiem High Mass at St Francis Church at 10:00 am. Iverna “Dolly” Louise (nee Doebler) Hayes, formerly of North Tonawanda, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 27, 2008 in Santa Claus, IN. Dolly was born August 29, 1918 in North Tonawanda to Louise and Edward Doebler. She was the wife of the late Hyrum.

Beloved Mother of Roger (Karen) Hayes of Santa Claus, IN and the late Adrianne and Gary.

Grandmother of Roger (Susan) Hayes, Jr. of South Barrington, IL. Gregory (Renata) of Hartford, CT, Barbara (Mark) Myers of Oregon, IL, Racheal and Jay Hayes of North Tonawanda, Bryan (Kerri) Liniewski of Surprise, AZ, Brendon (Manuela) Liniewski of Grand Rapids, MI and Patrick Hayes of Washington, DC, Judy (Neil) Franklyn of Lake Worth, FL, Laurie Gutek of Cheektowaga, Erie County, NY.

She was the sister of the late Delores Duke and Twin brother Sonny.

Great-Grandmother of Katherine and William Hayes, Kaitlin, Spencer, and Zachary Hayes, Myia Pascouche, Tory and Austin Liniewski, Matthew and Michael Myers, Miranda Franklin, Krystle Galbraieh and Holly Gutek.

Mary L. Beckett "Greta Gooch", age 79, of Amherst, formerly of Tonawanda, died Friday, October 13, 2017 at Schofield Residence in the Town of Tonawanda, after a long illness. Born August 4, 1938 in the Town of Lewiston, she was the daughter of the late George and Dolores (nee Doebler) Beckett and had been a resident of Tonawanda for the greater part of her life. Before retiring, Mary had been employed at Niagara Mohawk. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Tonawanda where she had been involved with the Pro-Life Committee and the Mission and Prayer Groups.
She was the sister of Kathy Brenon, Carol (Greg) Galdon, George (Sandy) Beckett, James (Joan) Beckett, and the late David Beckett, Judy Henderson, Patricia Barth, and John Beckett; and was the loving companion of the late James LaFleur. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
There is no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Wednesday at St. Francis Chapel, 71 Adam Street, Tonawanda; the Rev. Michael Uebler officiating. Friends invited. Inurnment at St. Francis Chapel Columbarium. Jim was born on December 24, 1949 in Buffalo, NY. He is the son of the late George and the late Dolores (Doebler) Beckett. Jim retired in 2008 from Tops Market, Grand Island, NY as the Meat Dept. Manager. He enjoyed woodworking, photography, camping in Dansville for many years, fishing in Canada and loved his pet Greyhounds.Surviving are his son’s Mark (Mary Beth) Beckett and Alan (Christine) Beckett; his siblings George Beckett, Kathleen Brenon and Carol Galdon; his grandchildren Brian, Hannah, Evan, Tyler, and Madison Beckett; his Fiancée Kathy Mitchell and her children Kenny, Kevin, and Kristopher Mitchell and Four- Step Children; Jim is predeceased by several siblings: Patricia Barth, Mary Lou Beckett, John Beckett, Judy Henderson, and David Beckett, also his late wife Joan F. Doebler, age 64, of the Town of Cambria, died Sunday, October 25, 2009, in Buffalo General Hospital, after a brief illness.Keith was born May 15, 1945 in Lockport, NY, the son of the late Wilbert "Duke" Doebler and the late Agnes (McArthur) Doebler Drewes. He was a lifelong area resident and a 1964 graduate of Wilson High School. Keith married Carole (Leonhard) Doebler on July 23, 1977. He retired in May of 2007 as the New Car Manager of Kyser Buick in Tonawanda, where he was employed for 35 years. Keith was a member of North Ridge United Methodist Church and a member of the Charlotteville Lodge #73 F and AM in Lockport. He was an avid bowler, golfer, hunter and fisherman, as well as enjoying NASCAR, local auto racing and camping. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.He is survived by his wife, Carole; a son, Brett (Lindsey) Doebler of Gasport, NY; a daughter, Mary Jo Murray of Goose Creek, SC; his grandchildren, Justin Jeffords, Natalie Shaw, Tiffany Cox, Jordan Brock and Jacob Howland; his great-grandchildren, Isaac and Isabella Shaw; a sister, Diane (Donald) Peck of the Town of Cambria; a step-brother, Arnold Drewes, Jr. of the Town of Cambria; and two step- sisters, Linda (Gary) Treichler of Sanborn and Pamela (David) Erway of Wilson.
