Mrs. Anna Lange Rites Are Held
Was Born in Bergholtz and Well Known in that Vicinity
BERGHOLTZ. Jan. 16-The funeral services for Mrs. Anna Lange, (nee Anna Plaster), 84 years old, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home at 602 Eighthy (sic) -eighth street, Niagara Falls, and at 2:30 o'clock from the Zion Lutheran church, Cayuga drive, La Salle section, Niagara Falls, the Rev. George Hoyer officiating. Mrs. Lange was born in this village at the Plaster homestead in Cayuga street. She was married to the late August Lange. They resided in Niagara street for many years and conducted a grocery store which was also known as the Niagara Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. Lange moved to the LaSalle section 15 years ago. The deceased's husband died about six years ago.
Mrs. Lange is survived by one son. Albert, eight daughters, Mrs. Albert Wendt of Lockport, Mrs. P. C. Schulz, Mrs. Pauline Brown and Mrs. John Camann of Niagara Falls, Mrs. Albert Ziemendorf of St. Johnsburg, Mrs. Minnie Arnhold, Mrs. Edgar Spangenberg, and Mrs. Christian Anderson of Buffalo, 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Burial was in the Holy Ghost cemetery on Binckley street.

Mrs. Louise Dornfield, fifty-six years old. a former resident of North Tonawanda for many years , died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wray Hilts of No. 888 Griffin street , LaSalle. Mrs. Dornfield was born in the town of Wheatfield street. While residing in North Tonawanda she conducted a confectionary store on Goundry street a number of years, Surviving are three daughters, the Misses Meta and Ruth Dornfeld and Mrs. Hilts; a grandchild, a mother, Mrs. Anna Lange of LaSalle ; seven sisters . Mrs. A. V. Wendt, of Lockport , Mrs. J. H. Arnholt of Buffalo. Mrs. Albert Ziemendorf of St. Johnsburg. Mrs. Christ Anderson of Buffalo and Mrs. Charles Brown, Mrs. John Camman, Mrs. P. C. Schultz and Miss Mary Lange of LaSalle, and a brother Albert Lange of Auburn. Albert H. Lange, retired employe
of the Fleishman Yeast
Company, now part of General
Foods, and a well known Auburnian,
died last night at his home,
57 Clark Street. He had been in
poor health for the past few
months, but had been able to be
out greeting friends during the
past week.
For more than 30 years he had
charge of the Fleishman yeast
agency In Auburn and vicinity. He
was a well known figure in those
days as he drove his fine horse
drawn rig about Auburn and to
towns in this vicinity. In the
toughest of winter weather he
made his rounds to towns around
Auburn, and drove about the city,
rarely missing his route in the
worst of winter snows and drifts.
He retired from active business
about 15 years ago. He was a
member of the Fraternal Order
of Eagles.
Mr. Lange is survived by his
wife, Mrs. Cora Lange; Mrs. Mollis
Zimmldorf of Tonawanda, Mrs.
Agnes Dendt of Lock port, Mrs.
Minnie Arnholt of Buffalo, Mrs.
Mamie Spangendorf of Buffalo,
Mrs. Anna Anderson of Buffalo,

The inquest into the death of Winifred Dornfeld, daughter of Mrs. Louise Dornfeld of No. 103 Goundry street, whose body was found in the Tonawanda creek on October 30, held before Coroner J. E. HeJwig yesterday afternoon produced no new information. . .Mrs. Louise Dornfeld, mother of the dead girl testified that the girl was 19 years old and that she was in the best of spirits when she left her home on October 29. She also said that the girl had not had any trouble with any member of the family.

Coroner Jacob E. Helwig this afternoon announced his decision in the mysterious death of Miss Winifred Dornfeld, the 19-year-old daughter of Mrs. Louise Dornfeld of No. 103 Goundry street "I have decided to give as my verdict that Miss Dornfeld came to her death on the night of October 29, by drowning in some unknown manner," said the coroner. A copy of his decision and the evidence taken at the inquest reconducted by the coroner will be filed with County Clerk Thomas T. Feeley at Lockport shortly.

P. Paul Camann, a retired electrical foreman, died Monday (Oct. 6, 1997) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a long illness. He was 73.
Camann, of Stephenson Avenue, was a lifelong Niagara Falls resident.
He served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War.
Camann worked as an electrical foreman for E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1972.
He was a member of the Bergholz Fire Co. marching band and was a member of the Riverside Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, the former Joyce Prince; a son, John of Sandy Creek; three daughters, Janet Garthwait of Cheshire, Conn., Lorraine Janese and Kathryn Kalita; a sister, June King; and 11 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday in Riverside Presbyterian Church, Lindbergh Avenue and 84th Street. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston

June 27, 1928 - June 18, 2021

Mrs. King died Friday June 18th 2021.  June was born in Niagara Falls NY on June 27th 1928, the youngest daughter of the late John and Elsie (Lang) Camann.  She attended Cayuga Drive School and graduated from LaSalle High School in 1946.  She worked at the Carborundum Co. for 32 interrupted years, retiring in 1992.  While there, she was very active in sports; playing baseball, bowling, golf and tennis.  She also played baseball and basketball in church, industrial and American-Canadian leagues. In 1954, June was voted the Carborundum Woman Athlete of the Year as well as the WJJL Carlings City of Niagara Falls Woman Athlete of the Year.  June also worked part-time for Jenss Department Store for many years; first at the Mil-Pine Plaza and later in the offices at Summit Park Mall.  She also volunteered at the LaSalle LADD Thrift Shop.  In her later years, Mrs. King enjoyed watching sports and playing cards with friends at the John Duke Center and other senior centers.  She was a life-time member of Grace Lutheran Church, baptized July 15th 1928, confirmed March 29th 1942 and married November 30th 1957, and she taught Sunday School for many years.
Mrs. King was predeceased by her husband John W. King (June 17th 1987), son John D. King (2014), infant son James (1960), sister Mildred (John) Culbert, brothers Earl (Marie) Camann, Jack (Liz) Camann, and Paul (Joyce) Camann.  She is survived by her loving daughter JoAnn Simon, son-in-law Howard Simon and grandson Jonathan Simon, as well as many nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 23rd from 4-7pm at Lane Funeral Home, 8622 Buffalo Avenue.  A Memorial Service will be held Thursday at 11am at Grace Lutheran Church, 736 Cayuga Drive; family and friends are invited. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.

WINTER HAVEN, FL — Paige passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 3rd in Orlando, FL, with her family at her bedside. Paige was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Peggy (Brown) Camann of Niagara Falls, NY.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Schmeelk; her daughter, Seana Gauger Carbone, who serves with the United States Navy, stationed in San Diego, CA; her brother, Rick Camann of Cambridge, MA; and sister, Patrice Ranellone of Brewster, NY; also step-daughters, Jennifer Sachleben and Catherine Cossaboon of Millville, NJ; and step-son, Erik Schmeelk of Rochester, NY.

Paige was born in Odessa, TX, and later moved to Niagara Falls, NY, where she attended neighborhood schools and graduated from the former LaSalle Senior High School. The family attended Grace Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Walther League. She went on to Valparaiso University in Indiana and later moved to Fairport, NY, until moving to Winter Haven, FL in 2010. While in Fairport, she was an active member of the Republican Committee in Rochester. She was a founding member and former President of the Fairport Advent House and was very active in the Rochester social scene. She was a dedicated wife and loving mother to her family. An angel and friend to those who knew her.

KING - John D. A longtime resident of Niagara Falls, died on Friday, November 21, 2014 in Buffalo General Hospital. He was 54. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on October 9, 1960, the son of June Camann King of Amherst and the late John W. King. John was a graduate of the former LaSalle Senior High School, playing the trumpet in its band. He also attended tractor trailer school. He worked for First Source, a candy manufacturing company in Kenmore and for 17 years he worked as a cab driver for LaSalle Cab Company. John was a avid Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, JoAnn (Howard) Simon of Amherst and a nephew, Jonathan Simon of Amherst. He was predeceased by his father John and his twin, James King as an infant. Friends may call Saturday afternoon in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, where memorial services will be held at 2 PM with the Rev. Erwin Brese officiating. The interment will be private.
