PROEFROCK – Lydia Proefrock, 77, of Ward Rd., Town of Wheatfield, died in a Buffalo hospital Friday (Dec. 25, 1959) after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, August J. Proefrock; three sons, Ernest J., Albert A. and Howard G., all of the Town of Wheatfield; two daughters, Mrs. Paul Werth of the Town of Pendleton and Mrs. Robert Hardy of North Tonawanda; also surviving are six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., where services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Rev. Loren J. Shiley will officiate. Interment in Acacia Park.

daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

She was a home-maker and
a member of the St. Paul's
Lutheran Church i n Martinsviile.
She is survived by her hus-

Proefrock,- Albert A, Proefrock, 71, of North Tonawanda, suddenly Friday (September 16, 1983). A lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, he was a veteran of World War II and a former employee of National Grinding Wheel.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Helen Hardy, and a brother, Ernest Proefrock, both of North Tonawanda anad several nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Howard Proefrock.

Services were held this morning from the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St., at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda, the Rev. Richard C. Luh officiated. Interment was held in Acacia Park Cemetery.

Hardy of East Felton Street, North Tonawanda, a Sunday school teacher, were held today in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North Tonawanda. Burial was in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton. The former Helen Proefrock, 78, died Friday (July 14, 1995) in Schoellkopf Health Center. She was born in North Tonawanda and attended schools there. Mrs. Hardy attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday school and confirmation class teacher. Her husband, Robert G., died in 1973. Survivors include three sons, Mark and Robert, both of North Tonawanda, and David of Florida; a daughter, Joan M. Scheller of North Tonawanda; a brother, Ernest Proefrock of Lockport; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. .

Proefrock - Howard G. Proefrock, 62 of North Tonawanda, suddenly Wednesday (April 14, 1982). Mr. Proefrock was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, a former employee of National Grinding Wheel and a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Helen Hardy of North Tonawanda; two brothers, Ernest and Albert Proefrock, both of North Tonawanda and several nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services will be held at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc. 1241 Oliver St., at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda at the convenience of the family., the Rev. Paul D. Rohrbacher will officiate. No prior visitation. Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery. Florwers gratefully declined.

NORTH TONAWANDA — Robert E. Hardy, age 74, of North Tonawanda, January 5, 2013, in Oakwood Nursing Home. Robert was a former 30-year employee of Lawless Container. He was a former member of the former St. Paul Lutheran Church (E. Felton St.) He was a member of the St. Johnsburg Fire Co.; he loved gardening and bowling.

Husband of Jean (nee Trinkwalder) Hardy. Father of Jill Mordick of Niagara Falls and Steven Hardy of Tonawanda. Grandfather of Pamela and Michael Mordick, Lucas, David and Joy Hardy. Brother of Joan (Bud) Scheller and David Hardy, both of North Tonawanda and Mark Hardy of the Town of Tonawanda; uncle of several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., in North Tonawanda on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 AM, the Rev. Barbara Price will officiate. Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Scott D. Scheller, 60 of North Tonawanda, entered into rest October 8th 2022. He was born in North Tonawanda on October 21st 1961 and is survived by his parents Francis "Bud" and Joan (Hardy) Scheller. He was the beloved father of Caitlin (Richard Jimenez) Scheller and Mallory (Charles Pearce) Scheller and amazing grandfather and “SaSa” to his 4 grandchildren – Elizabeth “Liz” Shear, Richard “Bubby” Jimenez, and Charlotte and William “Wilby” Pearce. He is also survived by his sisters Laurie (Ted) Deverell, Jo-Ellen Laderer, and Chris (Fred) Stanley and his niece and nephew. Scott was a Retired Union Electrician for IBEW Local #237. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling and going to Walt Disney World, and spending time with his 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren.
