Krull, William, was born in Uckermerk, Germany, December 11, 1837, and came to America in 1843 with his parents. Christian and Mary (Veccue) Krull. His father was one of the early settlers in Wheatfield, and at the time of his death was one of the oldest residents. William Krull has been a farmer all his life and was actively engaged in that pursuit until he moved into Martinsville in 1857. He has been a successful man and has not only acquired ample means, but has also won the esteem of all classes by his honorable career and his strict integrity in all things. In 1857 he married Wilhelmina Milleville, who died in 1871, leaving six children: Augusta, Albertine, William C. and Wilhelmina, who are living; Christian and Matilda are dead. Mr. Krull married for his second wife Louisa Wolfe, and they have two children living, Matilda and Eleanor. Mr. Krull is a Democrat and was highway commissioner for three years in the town of Wheatfield; he has also been a trustee of St. Paul's German Lutheran church for twenty eight years. In 1894 he was a delegate to the Synod held at Pittsburg, and in 1897 delegate to Baltimore. During his career in this county he has always been a leader among his German fellow citizens, and as a man whose word has always been considered as good as his bond.

Last Rites for Julius Stolzenburg Well Known Resident.
BERGHOLTZ, April 19. -Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday afternoon for Julius Stolzenburg, 80 years old, who died Monday night at his home, Niagara Falls Boulevard.
Mr. Stolzenburg was a leading Democrat in North Tonawanda for many years. He served several terms on the Common Council and was committee man from his district a number of years. He was president of the German-American Fire Insurance Association at the time of his death.
Born in Germany, Mr. Stolzenburg had lived in this vicinity 32 years. He is survived by five sons, August, Julius, Albert, Edgar and Clarence Miller (sic); five daughters, Mrs. Sophia Radloff and Mrs. Charles Wurl, North Tonawanda; Mrs. Rose Hoffmeister, Mrs. Herman Behrns and Miss Anna Stolzenburg, all of Lockport; 21 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 o'clock at the home and half an hour later at St. Paul's Church. The Rev. F. A. Hiners will officiate and burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery.

SCHMIDT RITES
Esteemed Bergholtz Resident Is Laid to Her Final Rest.
BERGHOLTZ, April 16.-Funeral services for Mrs. William H. Schmidt, nee Albertine Milleville, 75 years old, who died Tuesday, were from 2 :45 from St. Peter's Lutheran church at Walmore. The Rev. Otto Bruss officiated.
Mrs. Schmidt was born on February 4, 1859, in this village. Her parents were among the first settlers of this town. She attended school here. In the year 1882 she was married to William H. Schmidt, who was for a number of years before his death court crier in county court, Lockport, and who was fatally injured several years ago in an auto accident.
Mrs. Schmidt was of a kind and loving Christian character. She not only endeared herself to her own family but to every one with whom she came in contact. She was a member of the St. Jacobi Lutheran church. Six nephews were bearers. They are Martin Milleville. Gerhard Milleville, Erich Ferchen, Ben De Vantier, Edward Milleville and Philip Milleville. Honorary bearers were the Misses Sophia Milleville and Elsie Milleville, Interment was in St. Jacobi cemetery.

Hold Last Rites For Mrs. Ferchen
BERGHOLZ, June 15. - Funeral services for Mrs. Auguste Milleville Ferchen were held this afternoon from the home at 2 o'clock and at 2:30 o'clock at Holy Ghost Lutheran church with the Rev. Victor. Dahlke officiating. The senior group of the Holy Ghost school sang, "Jesus While Living and Jesus While Dying." The bearers were Christ Burow, Arthur Milleville, Cornelius Ferchen, Theodore Schmidt, David Ferchen and Edwin DeVantier. Interment was in Holy Ghost cemetery. Mrs. Ferchen was born at the Milleville homestead on the Old Falls boulevard and was a life long resident of the Town of Wheatfield for 82 years. She lived 64 years in the same house and attended school in the same house where she resided when ten years old. In 1886 she was married to Christian Ferchen, a parochial school teacher of the St. James congregation. She was the daughter of the late John and Albertine Krull Milleville. She Is survived by two sons, Hugo Ferchen, Niagara Falls, and Erich Ferchen, Bergholz; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur J. Williams. Cayuga drive, Niagara Falls, and Mrs. Edward Eggert, at home; one sister, Mrs. Bertha DeVantier, St, Johnsburg; 11 grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. She was a sister of the late John William Albert Milleville and Mrs. William H. Schmidt. Mrs. Ferchen was an active member of the Holy Ghost church and of the Lutheran Women's Missionary league. She was interested in the Lutheran Hour, sponsored by the Luther Laymen's league and founded by the late Dr. Walter Maler.

K. Beccue, 64, retired police
sergeant and Spanish-American
War Veteran, died Sunday evening
at his home, 32 Carlton Place.
Mr. Beccue was born in Lockport
March 24, 1882, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Abraham Beccue. His father op-
erated a hotel in Park Avenue.
The son attended the former
Hawley and Washburn Street
schools. When war broke out with
Spain he answered the call to the
colors and served with the 42nd
Regiment, U.S. Volunteers, in the
Philippines.
Before failing health forced his
retirement in 1932, Mr. Beccue
served 23 years in the Lockport
Police Department. Appointed a
patrolman on April 1, 1909, he rose
from the ranks to detective sergeant
and served in that capacity for sev-
eral years. Unable to perform the
latter duties because of his health,
he served as desk sergeant for a
short time before he retired.
Mr. Beccue was a member of the
Hickory Club and Lockport Lodge,
73, F&AM.
Surviving are his wife, Amelia
Buhs Beccue; a daughter, Mrs.
Floyd Beyer of Wilson and three
sons, Karl W., William A. and Don-
ald R. Beccue of Lockport. There
are seven grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday
at 2:30 at the Clemens O. Gaul
Funeral Home, 263 East Ave.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Ceme-
tery.

Cerebral Hemorrhage Fatal to Miss Elizabeth Beccue.
LOCKPORT Oct. 30-Miss Elizabeth S. Beccue, of 178 Niagara street, a life-long resident, died at 5 o'clock yesterday morning in Lockport City hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage, suffered at her home about 8 o'clock Saturday evening.
She was the daughter of the late August J. and Albertine H. Wendt Beccue. For a number of years she was employed at the grocery store of E. E. Wiliamson (sic) and for the last 13 years had been at the McCarthy Flower shop. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church. One sister, Alma S. Beccue, and one brother, William A. Beccue, Lockport, survive. Services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2.30 at the home and at 3 o'clock at Trinity Lutheran church. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cold Springs cemetery.

Mr. Beccue was taken to-the

stepped on his abdomen.
Born in Lockport, March 13,
1897, he was the son of August
and Albertina Wendt Beccue.
After graduating from Lockport
public school he became
employed by Simonds Saw and
Steel Co. He founded the William
A. Beccue Contracting Co.
nine years later and operated
it until his death.
A boating and water enthusiast,
Mr. Beccue developed Beccue
Island at Wilson in 1948.
He also operated Beccue Boat
Basin.
He was u charter member of
the Wilson Yacht Club, past
director of the Wilson Lions
Club and a member of Trinity
Lutheran C h u r c h , Lockport,
and the Lutheran Laymen's
League.
Surviving are his widow,
Priscilla; a son, Edwin J. Beccue
of Wilson; a daughter, Mrs.
Jeannette S. Burton of Kenmore,
and a granddaughter.

NORTH TONAWANDA, Oct 5.-Albert H. Ziemendorf, 58, died at his home in the Niagara Falls boulevard at St. Johnsburg. Mr. Ziemendorf was born in Bergholtz and had resided in this part of Niagara county all his life. He was one of the best known residents of the town of Wheatfield. For several terms he served as a member of the town board. He was also a member of the Board of Education of the school district in which he resided. He was a Republican, taking an active part in the affairs of his party. He served many years as an elder of St. John's church at St. Johnsburg. Mr. Ziemendorf is survived by a wife, Mollie; two sons, Calvin W. and Lester; two daughters, Leeta and Helen, at home; a brother, Reinhardt (sic), of Sanborn and two sisters, Miss Minnie Ziemendorf and Mrs. Adeline Gombert, of St. Johnsburg, Rites will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence and at 2:30 o'clock at St. John's church, The Rev. NORTH TONAWANDA - Mrs. Adeline Gombert. 59 years old of the Niagara Falls boulevard near St. Johnsburg, was instantly killed in a head on collision near Tilbury, Ont, Saturday afternoon, and her sister. Miss Minnie Ziemendorf, 57, of the same address, and a nephew, William Ziemendorf of Sanborn, and a niece, Miss Elizabeth Ziemendorf, 25, of Sanborn, were badly injured. Mrs. Gombert's body was removed to an undertaking establishment at Tilbury and was send by train to this city early this morning and will be removed to the home later today. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 pm. at the home and at 2:30 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church. The Rev. J. W. Thiemecke will officiate and Interment will be in Holy Ghost cemetery at Bergholtz. William Ziemendorf is reported in a serious condition. He suffered a fractured collarbone and a compound fracture of the right leg. Minnie Ziemendorf is also reported in a serious condition, having suffered a fractured collarbone, numerous brush burns and bruises. She is also suffering from shock. Elizabeth Ziemendorf was only slightly injured but is reported suffering from shock. She is expected to leave the hospital shortly. The party was on its way to Detroit to visit relatives and William Ziemendorf was driving. The car with which they collided was owned by a resident of Kingston. Ont., and was returning from Detroit. The name of the owner was not learned here. The three occupants of the Canadian machine were injured but not seriously. On receipt of news of the accident, Mr. and Mrs. Relhnardt Zlemendorf of Sanborn, parents of William and Elizabeth Ziemendorf, left at once for the scene and made arrangements to have the body of Mrs. Gombert sent home.

PEKIN, Aug.1.—Alexander Wendt of this village, died at Deaconess hospital, in Buffalo, yesterday morning at 7.20. He underwent a serious operation last Tharsday. The immediate cause of his death was heart failure.

The deceased was 47 years old. besides his wife, Ada Schultz, he Is survived by one daughter, Edna, his mother, Mrs August Wendt. two brothers, Edward and William, all of Pekin.

Funeral services will be held from the home of the late August Wendt at 2 o'clock.- Burial will be from St. Andrews Lutheran church With the Rev. c. A. Schmidt officiating at 2:30. Interment will be in St. Andrew's Lutheran cemetery.

KRULL - William C. Krull, 75, of 2874 Niagara Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda,
suddenly Tuesday (May 25, 1971) in the Veterans Hospital, Buffalo. Mr.
Krull was a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield, proprietor and
owner of Krull's Inn for 38 years. He served with the U. S. Army from 1917
to 1919, and was a member of the American Legion Post 264. One of the
original founders of the St. Johnsburg Fire Co., he was a lifelong member of
St. John Lutheran Church.
Mr. Krull is survived by his wife, Esther (nee Schulmeister) Krull; one
daughter, Mrs. Wilfred Humphries of North Tonawanda; three sons, William,
Harold and Melvin Krull, all of North Tonawanda; ten grandchildren, five
great-grandchildren; he was the father-in-law of the late Arnold E. Martin.
Mr. Krull is also survived by one brother, Mr. Edward Krull, and two
sisters, Miss Gertrude Krull and Mrs. Jared Tiffany, all of the Tonawandas.
Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at
Ward Rd., North Tonawanda, after 1 p.m. Wednesday until Friday noon. The
body will lie in state in St. John Lutheran Church from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

at 5:40 p. m. the Rescue Fire
company of Martinsville was called
to the Krull Coal company where a
grass fire was threatening the main
building. The fire was extinguished
without damage.
Final rites were held Monday afternoon
for Norman Sahr, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Edward Sahr, of 386 Falls
boulevard. Services were held at the
home of his parents and burial was
at S t Paul's cemetery- Rev. Frederick
Hinncrs, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran
church, officiated.
Saturday at 2 p. m. the 8t. Paul's
Ladles Aid society will hold a baked
goods sale at the Ford building on
the Niagtua Fails boulevard. A fine
variety of baked goods will be offered
for sale. Numerous committees have
been named by Mrs. Louis Dornfeld,
president of the society. The public
is invited.

A- Sahr, 31 years old, of 386
Falls boulevard, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Edward Sahr, died this morning at
11:45 o'clock at the DeOraff Memorial
hospital, North Tonawanda, from
burns received at a fire on August
2 at the Avenue Service station.
Mr. Sahr was one of the proprietors
of the station and while Eric Brunnlng,
15, employed as a car greaser,
was working in the greasing pit a fire
broke out. The boy was surrounded
by flames and unable to get out of
the pit. Mr. Sahr leaped to his assistance
and was terribly burned
about the hands, arms, shoulders and
face. Brunning, although badly
burned, will recover, attendants say.
Besides his parents, Mr. Sahr is
survived by a sister, Ostil Sahr, and
a brother, Herbert Sahr, both at
home. He was a life long member of
St. Paul, Lutheran church. The funeral
arrangements have not been
completed.

BERGHOLTZ - John William Schmidt. 83, of 6784 Ward Road, died Thursday (Oct. 28, 1965) in Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born in the.Town of Wheatfield Oct. 8. 1882, the son of William H. and Albertine Milleville Schmidt, He had lived in this area all his life. With his brother, Theodore, he had owned and operated a farm at the Ward Road address for 40 years. Mr. Schmidt was a member of St. James Lutheran Church here. Survivors, in addition to the brother, include two sisters, Mrs. Ella Reid. Niagara Falls, and Mrs. Henry Schendel, North Tonawanda. Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday in St. James Lutheran Church by Rev. Robert Lehman. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Friends may call at the Pike and J o n e s Funeral Home, Sanborn, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The family said donations to Lutheran Vespers will be acceptable as tributes.

Mrs. William Lynch Expires After Long Illness
Mrs. Helena (sic) Louise Lynch, 43 years old, wife of William E. Lynch, 1714 Eighteenth street, died at her home yesterday, following an illness of eight months. She was the daughter of the late William Schmidt, Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County court crier, who was killed in an automobile crash a month ago today, Mrs. Lynch bas been critically ill since her father's death and was not told that he had been killed.
Born in the Town of Wheatfield, Mrs. Lynch came to Niagara Falls about 25 years ago. She was well known and highly respected in the city. Besides her husband, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Albertina (sic) Schmidt, Town of Wheatfield; two brothers, John and Theodore Schmidt, Town of Wheatfield, and three sisters, Mrs. Charles Tunge (sic) and Mrs. Henry Schendle (sic), of the Town of Wheatfield, and Mrs. George Reid, of this city.

LA SALLE, May l6.-Mrs. Ella DeVantier, nee Milleville, 37 years old of the Bergholtz road, died Saturday, May 14, after a short illness. The funeral services will be held tomorrow from the home at 2 o'clock and at 2:30 from the St. James Lutheran church. The Rev. O. Bruss will officiate. Mrs. DeVantier was one of the best known of the younger residents of the Bergholtz road district and her loss will be mourned by a wide circle of friends. She is survived by her husband, Albert P. BERGHOLTZ, May 19.-Mrs. Ella De Vantier, nee Millerville (sic), 37 years old, who died at the family home on Niagara street last Saturday evening, May 14th, after a short illness, removes one of the most well known residents of Niagara County, whose life was in every respect an exemplification of Christianity and civility. Had she lived, she would have celebrated her 38th birthday on Friday, May 20th. The funeral services were held from the home on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock and from the St. Jacob church at 2.30 o'clock. The Rev. Otto Bruss officiated. Mrs. De Vantier will be sadly missed by all her old and new friends, and will be deeply mourned by her husband, Albert De Vantier, two young daughters, Eleanor and Helma, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugo, Carl, Edgar and Martin and five sisters, Mrs. Rev. Thekla E. DeVantier, a lifelong member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bergholz, died Sunday (May 16, 1999) in Fairchild Manor Nursing Home. She was 101.
The former Thekla Milleville was born in Wheatfield and she lived in Wheatfield and Niagara Falls before moving to the nursing home.
Mrs. DeVantier was a member of the Women of the Church organization at St. James.
Her husband of 55 years, Edward R. DeVantier Sr., died in 1978.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed hearing about travels from her grandchildren who are spread out across seven states.
Mrs. DeVantier is survived by four sons, Edward R. Jr. of Niagara Falls, Roger of Cherry Hill, NJ, the Rev. Vernon of Blissfield, Mich. and Loren; a sister, Helen Milleville of Niagara Falls; 15 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Milleville attended St. James Evangelical Lutheran School in Bergholz.
He married Elizabeth Haseley on Oct. 10, 1936 in St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
He worked at the former Grief Brothers in Niagara Falls and was a dairy farmer for several ears.
Mr. Milleville was a member of St Peter's Lutheran Church in Walmore, where he served as an elder and choir member for 50 years. He also was active with Bible study classes and supported church missions.
He enjoyed his family life.
In addition to his wife of 61 years, he is survived by a son James Milleville of Plymouth Mich.; three daughters, Susan Dunbar of Aurora, OH, Marilyn Ruppel of Kenmore and Carol Moll of Bergholz; two sisters Thekla DeVantier of Lewiston and Helen Milleville of Wheatfield; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Milleville was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 2 -4 and 7 - 9 today and Sunday at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. The Rev. Allen Griep will conduct services at 11a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore Road, Wheatfield. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery..

Helen C. Milleville, age 103, lifelong resident of Wheatfield, was called peacefully to her heavenly home on March 3, 2014 while at the Northgate Health Care Facility. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, NY on November 22, 1910 she was the daughter of the late John W. and Helene E. Milleville.
As a child, Helen attended the St. James Christian Day School and was a lifelong, active member of St. James Ev. Lutheran Church in Bergholz, where she was a former Sunday school superintendent and teacher for many years. Helen was also a member of the worship and music committee at the church, and attended the Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis, MN. Helen was employed for 31 years at the Moore Business Forms, Niagara Falls, as a data input operator, retiring in 1975.
Helen was predeceased by four brothers, Hugo, Rev. Edgar, Carl and Martin Milleville; and five sisters, Elsie Milleville, Thekla DeVantier, Amanda Walck, Ella DeVantier and Ada Mueller. Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Sunday from 1-3 PM at St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, Niagara Road in Bergholz. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Jeff Milsten, following visitation at 3:00 PM. Interment will take place in St. James Lutheran Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the church, Lutheran Bible Translator (Wycliffe), or the World Mission Prayer League, Minneapolis, MN. Arrangements were with the DuBois Funeral Home (731-3234).

WHEATFIELD - Elsie H. Milleville, 74, of Cayuga Drive Extention (sic), died Friday (July 8, 1988) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
Born in Wheatfield, she was active in the American Lutheran Church Women. She was a member of St. James Evange1ical Lutheran Church, taught Sunday school for 45 years and was a member of the church choir. She attended St. James Christian Day School, Niagara Falls High School and the Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis, MN
Survivors include sisters, Helen Milleville and Thekla DeVantier, both of Wheatfield; a brother, Martin Milleville of the Town of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and.7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bergholz, conducted by the Rev. David B. Menz and the Rev. Vernon L. DeVantier. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Bergholz.
Contributions to St. James Lutheran Church are acceptable as tribute.

Notes Head of Dairy Company Dies
Rudolph W. Milleville, 78, of 9790 Cayuga. Drive, president of the Milleville Dairy County, died in Memorial Hospital today (March 24, 1969) after a brief illness. The company on Cayuga Drive, has been in operation since 1907.
Mr. Milleville was born in the Town of Wheatfield and was a life member of St. James Lutheran, Church, Bergholtz.
He is survived by his widow, Lydia; two sons, Robert W. and Herbert R. Milleville, both of this city; one daughter, Mrs. Howard (Eleanor) Garner of this city; four brothers, Theodore, Edward, and Philip Milleville, Wheatfield, and Herbert A., Milleville of this city; two sisters, Mrs. Carl (Edna) Geltz and Mrs. George (Hilda) Meyers, of this city, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at St. James Church Wednesday: at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Lehman officiating. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mr. Milleville's body will be at the church in Bergholtz from noon to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
