Notes:

Krull, William, was born in Uckermerk, Germany, December 11, 1837, and came to America in 1843 with his parents. Christian and Mary (Veccue) Krull. His father was one of the early settlers in Wheatfield, and at the time of his death was one of the oldest residents. William Krull has been a farmer all his life and was actively engaged in that pursuit until he moved into Martinsville in 1857. He has been a successful man and has not only acquired ample means, but has also won the esteem of all classes by his honorable career and his strict integrity in all things. In 1857 he married Wilhelmina Milleville, who died in 1871, leaving six children: Augusta, Albertine, William C. and Wilhelmina, who are living; Christian and Matilda are dead. Mr. Krull married for his second wife Louisa Wolfe, and they have two children living, Matilda and Eleanor. Mr. Krull is a Democrat and was highway commissioner for three years in the town of Wheatfield; he has also been a trustee of St. Paul's German Lutheran church for twenty eight years. In 1894 he was a delegate to the Synod held at Pittsburg, and in 1897 delegate to Baltimore. During his career in this county he has always been a leader among his German fellow citizens, and as a man whose word has always been considered as good as his bond.

Shiley will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery. Mr. Krull was born in the Town of Wheatfield and lived here for the last 44 years. He was employed by Buffalo Bolt Co. for 44. years as a machine operator, before he retired in 1958. Surviving are three sons. Erwin, Arthur and Wallace and five daughters, Mrs. James Dimond. KRULL - William C. Krull, 75, of 2874 Niagara Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda,
suddenly Tuesday (May 25, 1971) in the Veterans Hospital, Buffalo. Mr.
Krull was a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield, proprietor and
owner of Krull's Inn for 38 years. He served with the U. S. Army from 1917
to 1919, and was a member of the American Legion Post 264. One of the
original founders of the St. Johnsburg Fire Co., he was a lifelong member of
St. John Lutheran Church.
Mr. Krull is survived by his wife, Esther (nee Schulmeister) Krull; one
daughter, Mrs. Wilfred Humphries of North Tonawanda; three sons, William,
Harold and Melvin Krull, all of North Tonawanda; ten grandchildren, five
great-grandchildren; he was the father-in-law of the late Arnold E. Martin.
Mr. Krull is also survived by one brother, Mr. Edward Krull, and two
sisters, Miss Gertrude Krull and Mrs. Jared Tiffany, all of the Tonawandas.
Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at
Ward Rd., North Tonawanda, after 1 p.m. Wednesday until Friday noon. The
body will lie in state in St. John Lutheran Church from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

at 5:40 p. m. the Rescue Fire
company of Martinsville was called
to the Krull Coal company where a
grass fire was threatening the main
building. The fire was extinguished
without damage.
Final rites were held Monday afternoon
for Norman Sahr, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Edward Sahr, of 386 Falls
boulevard. Services were held at the
home of his parents and burial was
at S t Paul's cemetery- Rev. Frederick
Hinncrs, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran
church, officiated.
Saturday at 2 p. m. the 8t. Paul's
Ladles Aid society will hold a baked
goods sale at the Ford building on
the Niagtua Fails boulevard. A fine
variety of baked goods will be offered
for sale. Numerous committees have
been named by Mrs. Louis Dornfeld,
president of the society. The public

MARTINSVILLE, Aug. 16.-Norman
A- Sahr, 31 years old, of 386
Falls boulevard, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Edward Sahr, died this morning at
11:45 o'clock at the DeOraff Memorial
hospital, North Tonawanda, from
burns received at a fire on August
2 at the Avenue Service station.
Mr. Sahr was one of the proprietors
of the station and while Eric Brunnlng,
15, employed as a car greaser,
was working in the greasing pit a fire
broke out. The boy was surrounded
by flames and unable to get out of
the pit. Mr. Sahr leaped to his assistance
and was terribly burned
about the hands, arms, shoulders and
face. Brunning, although badly
burned, will recover, attendants say.
Besides his parents, Mr. Sahr is
survived by a sister, Ostil Sahr, and
a brother, Herbert Sahr, both at
home. He was a life long member of
St. Paul, Lutheran church. The funeral
arrangements have not been
completed.

He was a former employee of Bell Aerospace in the Town of Wheatfield and National Grinding Wheel in North Tonawanda. He enjoyed his retirement by restoring antique furniture. Beloved husband of Harriet (Rankin) Krull. Father of Cynthia (Charles) Battaglia of North Tonawanda, Gloria (Michael) Schauger of Biloxi, MS, June Peresich of Saucier, MS and the late Rita Winas. Step-father of Donna (LeGrand) Licht of North Tonawanda, Bill (Late Lydia) Rankin of Cambria and Carol (Bill) McGranahan of North Tonawanda. Grandfather of 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. BATAVIA — Neil E. Krull, age 79, of the Town of Hamburg, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at the Batavia VA Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. Born in North Tonawanda, NY, he was the son of the late Edward and Irene (Haseley) Krull. Mr. Krull was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He had been a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda for many years, and was known for his ministry of delivering tapes of Sunday sermon messages to church shut-ins. He also had been a past President of the Residence Council at Brompton Heights.

He is survived by two children, Sandra (Mark) Flanigan of the Town of Pendleton and Daniel (Susan) Krull of Niagara Falls, NY; five grandchildren, Mark Jr., Stacy and Stephanie Flanigan, and Alexis and Abigail Krull; his former wife, Barbara (Robert) Thomson; two sisters, Phyllis Phillips of North Tonawanda and Ellen "Bunny" Eberwein of the City of Tonawanda; and a brother, Roger (Linda) Krull of North Tonawanda.

Family will be present on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.), City of Tonawanda. NORTH TONAWANDA - Patricia L. Woods, formerly of Niagara Falls, died on Sunday, March 2, 2014 in DeGraff Skilled Nursing Facility. She was 69. She was born in North Tonawanda on June 27, 1944, the daughter of the late Erwin and Mildred (Schoenfeld) Krull.

Mrs. Woods worked in the Gilmore School Cafeteria and as a tray girl at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. A member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Patricia enjoyed hunting and fishing. She was a member of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) as well.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Jerry A. Woods; five sons, Terry Woods, Niagara Falls; Richard Woods, Henderson, NV; Jerry Michael Woods (Maureen), Holiday, FL; Donald Woods (Marybeth) of Clarence Center, and Eric Kleiner of Niagara Falls; siblings, Judith Zastrow of Wheatfield; Jim Krull (Barbara) of Wheatfield; Paul Krull (Anita) of Ohio; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Wednesday from 4-7 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls. A memorial service will be held Thursday 11 AM in St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1135 Oliver Street, North Tonawanda. Jason R. Krull, 43, of Tonawanda, NY, Monday (April 24, 2017). Jason was Born in North Tonawanda, NY on February 7, 1974 to Roger and Linda (Heaps) Krull. Jason was a Maintenance Mechanic at Sister's Hospital, in his spare time he enjoyed spending time with friends and family at camp. Jason was predeceased by his mother Linda (Heaps) Krull who died in 2016. 
Jason is survived by his wife Deborah (Fletcher) Krull, father of Kaitlyn Moll, son of Roger (the late Linda) Krull, brother of Janet Gatley, grandson of Janet Schmauss, uncle of Samantha and Corey Gatley, also survived by many friends and family.

Age 62, of the City of North Tonawanda, entered into eternal rest on January 12, 2022. Laura was the daughter of Phyllis (nee Krull) Phillips and the late George E. Phillips. She was the beloved sister of Lisa A. Phillips (Maria Alesse) and Linda (nee Phillips) Hill and the Aunt of Heather L. Hill. She is survived by many loving cousins. Laura was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in NT. Laura was the owner of Whitney-Warner Marketing and was active in the paint and caulk industries. Her friends will remember her fondly for having a love of nature and of all living things. She was passionate about rescuing strays. Laura was a genuine champion for the underdog. Her true love was and eternally will be Silver Lake Camp. Her spirit was one of kindness and compassion. There will be no visitation.
