WALMORE-Mrs. Frances M. Grabau, 75, died Sunday, March 10, 1957) at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Duwe, East Palestine, OH. She was a native of Bergholtz, the daughter of the late John and Henrietta Broeker Goerss.
Mrs. Grabau was married on Sept. 29, 1904, to the Rev. Edward A. Graubau (sic), pastor of St. Peter's Lutheran Church here for 42 years, retiring in 1948, after which the couple resided in North Tonawanda. They moved to their daughter's home in Ohio in 1952.
Mrs. Grabau was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, East Palestine. In addition to her husband and daughter, surviving are two sisters, the Misses Charlotte and Sophie Goerss, and four brothers, Anton, Rufus. Hubert Goerss. all of North Tonawanda, and Rudolph Goerss, Lockport, two grandsons and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Pike Funeral Home, Sanborn, Wednesday evening. Lois M. (nee Broecker) Moldenhauer, age 89, of North Tonawanda, was given a heavenly mansion, through faith in Jesus Christ, on January 24, 2013. Lois taught Sunday School at St. Matthew Lutheran Church for 30 years. She was the founder of the Bible Brunch for over 50 consecutive years. She sang with the Senior Choir, served with the Ladies Guild and taught Vacation Bible School.
Beloved wife of the Rev. A.W. Moldenhauer for almost 60 years. Loving mother of Philip (Lisa) Moldenhauer, Paul (Corleen) Moldenhauer, Deborah (Thomas) Hromowyk and Miriam Moldenhauer-Majewski (Gary Majewski). Grandmother of nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Sister of Mildred Broecker, Phyllis Broecker, Shirley Arnold and Burton Broecker.
The family will receive friends at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 875 Eggert Dr., North Tonawanda on Friday from 5-8 PM and on Saturday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Burton D. Broecker, of Newfane, NY, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2015, in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport, NY. He was born in the Town of Wheatfield, on February 1, 1925, the son of the late Phillip and Lydia [Mittelstadt] Broecker.

Mr. Broecker served his country in the US Navy, from 1943-1946. He was employed at Wurlitzer and later with Westinghouse in Buffalo, for over 37 years. Mr. Broecker was a life member of the Lutheran faith, most recently of Immanuel Lutheran. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid Bills fan.

Mr. Broecker is survived by his wife of 37 years Lorena G. [Fuerch] Broecker, they were married on March 31, 1978, three daughters Louise (Gary) Schildheauer of Bergholz, Barbara St. Onge of Lockport and Linda (Charles) DeDario of the Town of Cambria, seven grandchildren Major John (Debra) Shannon, April (Anthony) Threet, Brent (Tara) Schildhauer, Kathy (Tracy) Taylor, Jenna and Angela DeDario and Brooke St. Onge, one great granddaughter Natalya Shannon, three sisters Mildred and Phyllis Broecker and Shirley (Dewlyn) Arnold, one brother in law A.W. Moldenhauer, also many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Marie (late Dan Light) Shannon and brother of the late Lois Moldenhauer.

His family will be present on Tuesday from 3-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 7147 Ridge Road, Lockport, with the Rev. Kenneth Craig officiating, with military honors following.

Janet E. Kroening, 81, of Sanborn, NY died Saturday, May 26, 2007 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Residence in Lewiston.
She was born on July 17, 1925, in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY, the daughter of the late William and Elsie (Goerss) Pack, and was a graduate of LaSalle High School in 1942.
Upon graduation from high school, she was employed at the Carborundum Company in the billing department. After having children, she was employed part time at the Sanborn Library. She was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church, Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY, where she was an active member of Grace Ladies for many years, served on the Altar Guild, sang in the choir, and taught Vacation Bible School. She was a member of the Sanborn Historical Society. She was devoted to her family and especially looked forward to time spent with her grandchildren. Janet was married for 60 years to the late Harold Kroening, who passed away in February of 2006.
She is survived by one daughter Amy (Ross) Folmsbee of Sanborn, one daughter-in-law Kathryn(Kelly) Armstrong of Rochester, four grandchildren Laura, Melisa and David Kroening and Jonathan Folmsbee. Sister-in-law of Gilbert & Norma Kroening and Gladys (late Benjamin) Haseley. She is also survived by her aide and good friend Calleta Jackson.
She was the mother of the late Bruce Kroening.
The family will be present at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Tuesday.

ROCHESTER - Bruce H. Kroening, 44, formerly of Sanborn, died Tuesday Jan. 31, 1995) at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, of an apparent heart attack.
The native of Niagara Falls was born Aug. 12, 1950, the son of Harold and Janet Kroening of Sanborn. He attended Niagara-Wheatfield Senior High School and Brockport State University.
While residing in Rochester, Mr. Kroening worked at Eastman Kodak County, coached soccer for the Gates Soccer League and was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Kathryn (Schlegel) Kroening of Rochester; two daughters, Laura Kroening and Melisa (sic) Kroening, both of Rochester; a son, David Kroening of Rochester; a sister, Amy Fohmsbee of Sanborn; his paternal grandmother; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Funeral Home of Alvah Halloran and Son, 2125 Chili Ave., Rochester. Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Faith Lutheran Church, 2576 Browncroft Blvd., Rochester.
