Wilbur C. Blank, 58, of 3104
Lower Mountain Road, San-
born, died today (Oct. 18,1971)
at Memorial Medical Center
where he had been taken
Sunday after being stricken at
home.
A native of the Town of
Niagara he had resided in the
Town of Wheatfield from 1938
until 1953 when he moved to
Sanborn.
He had been employed by the
former New York Central
Railroad for 22 years as a
wrecker. He later was em-
ployed by beecher Brothers
Inc., Sanborn, and recently by
the Niagara Frontier State
Parks commission.
He was a member of the
Lutheran Layman's League.
Surviving are his widow,
Dorothea Blank; a son, Clifford
C. Blank of Rochester; a
daughter, Mrs. Russell (Carol)
Stewart of Sanborn; a brother,
Sylvester G. Blank of Sanborn
and three grandsons.
Funeral services will be held
at St. Andrew's Lutheran
Church Wednesday at 2 p.m.
Burial will be in St. Mark's
Cemetery, Wheatfield.
Friends may call at the Pike
and Jones Funeral Home,
Sanborn, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
today and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7
p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

CAROL A. STEWART
Carol A. Stewart (Blank), age 67, of Pekin, was called unexpectedly to her heavenly home on Friday, August 29, 2008 in Mount St. Mary s Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in North Tonawanda, NY on May 21, 1941 to the late Wilbur and Dorothea (Durow) Blank. Carol is a graduate of Wilson High School, class of 1959. A longtime member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Pekin, she is a former member of Tri-Community Ambulance Service, Inc., serving for 15 years. Her hobbies included painting, playing guitar and she played in several small bands. Survivors include her husband, Russell Stewart. They were united in marriage February 27, 1960; three sons, Brian Stewart of Sanborn, Steven (Deborah) Stewart and Kevin Stewart, both of Ransomville; a brother, Clifford (Jacqueline) Blank of Stafford, NY; seven grandchildren Jerad, Shawn, Kyle, Kaylee, Jessica, Angela, and Jonathan; and a great-granddaughter, Allison. Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Monday from 5-8 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. R. P. Vogeler on Tuesday, September 2nd at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 3229 Upper Mountain Road, Pekin. Interment in St. Andrew Lutheran Cemetery. Obituary of Steven Stewart

Steven R. Stewart, age 54 of Ransomville NY, died unexpectedly on Wednesday March 30, 2016 at his residence.


Steven was born March 9, 1962 in North Tonawanda, NY, the son of the late Russell and Carol (Blank) Stewart and was a1978 graduate of Niagara Wheatfield High School. For the past year he was employed as a tow motor operator by Excel in Lockport. Previously, Steven was an operator at Wendt’s Dairy in Niagara Falls for 30 years. He married Deborah (Cobo) Stewart on August 10, 1997 and they have lived in Ransomville since 2001.


Steven was a lifetime member of the NRA and a former member of the Pekin Volunteer Fire Company. He also was an avid hunter.


He is survived by his wife, Deborah; a daughter, Kaylee Stewart of Wilson; two brothers, Brian and Kevin Stewart both of Ransomville; and his mother and father in law, Dolly and David Cobo.


Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Saturday, April 2, from 1- 4 pm. Funeral Services will begin at 4:00 pm in the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Hoffman officiating. Burial in St. Mark’s Lutheran Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Pekin Volunteer Fire Company, 3024 Upper Mountain Rd. Sanborn, NY 14132.
