SANBORN, May 25 - Fred W. Haseley, 83 years old, who until his retirement several years ago was one of the best known farmers of this vicinity, died last evening at the family home in this village, after a short illness. Funeral services will be held from the home on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, standard time, and at 2: 30 from St. Peter's church at Walmore. The Rev. Edward Grabau will officiate and interment will be in Walmore cemetery. Mr. Haseley was born in Walmore on August 21, 1853, and had resided In this vicinity all his life. In former years he took an active interest in political and agricultural affairs and conducted one of the finest farms in this district. He is survived by his wife, Mary Farnwald (sic); one son, Philip Haseley; one daughter, Mrs. Anton Pfuhl, both of Sanborn; two brothers, August and the Rev. Albert Haseley; two sisters, Mrs. Arnst (sic) Beutel and Mrs. Louis Koppler, all of Lake Elmo, Minn. and seven grandchildren.

SANBORN, April 5.-Carl W. Haseley, 74, one of the oldest and best known residents of this vicinity, died yesterday at the family home in the Saunders Settlement road following an illness of about two weeks. Funeral services will be held from the home on Monday afternoon, April 7, at 2 o'clock and at 2:30 from St. Peter's Evangelical church at Walmore. The Rev. Edward Grabau will officiate and interment will be in Walmore cemetery. Mr. Haseley was born in the town of Wheatfield a son of the late Frederick Haseley and Wilhelmina (sic) Wendt, who came from Germany and settled in Wheatfield. He was formerly an active farmer but retired several years ago. Mr. Haseley is survived by one son, George. C., of the Saunders Settlement road, two brothers, the Rev. Rev. A. Haseley, Lake Elmo, Dies
The Rev. Albert Haseley, who served St. Paul's Lutheran church at Lake Elmo during his entire 61 years as a pastor, died Wednesday in a Stillwater hospital. He was 91.
He was graduated from Martin Luther seminary, Buffalo, N. Y, in Rev. Haseley 1891 and went to St. Paul's church. He remained in that pastorate until retiring in November, 1952.
Mrs. Haseley died in 1949. Surviving the clergyman are 4 sons. Gregor of St. Paul Park, the Rev. Leonard of Pittsburg, and Alfred and Gotthold, both of Lake Elmo; 1 daughter, Adelia of Lake Elmo; a sister, 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday in Lake Elmo at Christ Lutheran church, which has merged with St. Paul's church.

LOCKPORT - Ill only a short, William G. Haseley, 97 Webb St, former gardener, died last evening at his home. He would have been 90 years old on February 25. Services will be held Monday at 2 p. m. at the home and at 2:30 at Trinity Lutheran church. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cold Springs cemetery-Mr. Haseley was a native of Walmore, N. Y., but had resided here the last 60 years. He was employed as a gardener at the Lewis greenhouse. Later he was a clerk for the William Brothers company. Surviving are a daughter, Helen A. STRUCK BY CAR, FARMER KILLED NEAR THIS CITY
Arthur Wendt Suffers Fatal Injuries; Dies Before Hospital Is Reached.
Hit by an automobile while walking along the Saunders Settlement road at 9:45 p. m. yesterday, Arthur Wendt, farmer, 42 years old, was fatally injured. The automobile was driven by G. M. Krick, 1722 Whitney avenue. Krick told Coroner W. L. Draper, who investigated the accident, that he was driving west and that the glare from headlights of a car approaching in the opposite direction prevented him from seeing Wendt.
Wendt suffered fractures of the neck; skull, both legs and left arm. He was taken to Memorial hospital, but was dead when he arrived there. Wendt was married and leaves a wife and six children. He had lived practically all his life on the Saunders Settlement road, about midway between this city and Sanborn. Krick was not held after he had made his statement to Coroner Draper and Undersheriff Cowdrick.

PENDLETON - Mrs. Laura Haseley, 81, of 4196 Lockport Rd., died Friday (Feb. 25, 1977) in Buffalo General Hospital after a long illness.
She was a native of the Town of Lewiston, and resided here for 57 years. She was a member of St. Peter's American Lutheran Church Women.
She was the wife of the late Louis F. Haseley who died in 1973. She is survived by two sons, Gordon of Lockport and the Rev. Louis C. Hugo Walck, town civic leader, dies
WHEATFIELD - Hugo A. Walck, 88, of 2440 Lockport Road, died unexpectedly today (June 19, 1973) shortly after admission to Memorial Medical Center.
A lifelong resident of Wheatfield, he was born on his father's farm, adjacent to his residence. He was a farmer for over 65 years.
He was a justice of the peace for 20 years, a former director of the Niagara County Farm Bureau, active in the Town of Wheatfield government and a member of the Wheatfield School Board for over 20 years.
He was also a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore, and the Police Chiefs and Judges Association.
Survivors include his wife, Ella L.; two sons, Harold A. Walck, of the Town of Tonawanda and Hugo C. Walck of Sanborn; two daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Florence) Stoelting and Mrs. Wilmer (Hilda) Wurl, both of Bergholtz; one sister, Mrs. Esther Lang (sic) of Walmore, eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Harvey Walck, and a daughter, Mrs. Edwin (Lydia) Ferchen.

SANBORN - Esther E. Lange, 85, of 6154 Walmore Road died Wednesday (Oct. 28, 1981) In Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness.
A lifelong resident of Wheatfield, she was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of the church's American Lutheran Church Women. She was the widow of William F. Lange, who died In 1960.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Norman (Eleanor) Moll of Niagara Falls and Mrs. Elwood (Gertrude) Krull of Sanborn; two sons, William and Norbert, both of Sanborn; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Herbert R. Maxwell officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery.

Cleveland Avenue Woman Passes In Hospital after Long Illness.
Mrs Lillian Haseley, widow of Albert Haseley, died in Mt. St Mary's Hospital at 5:45 clock yesterday afternoon after an illness of several months. She was 58 years old. Mrs. Haseley. who had resided here many years and had a wide circle of friends, is survived by a son, Herbert A. Haseley, of this city; two grandchildren, Gladys and Harold Kroenlng, of Sanborn, and two sisters, Elizabeth Klemer. of North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Carl Musall. of Birnamwood. Wis. Philip Haseley, Farmer, Dies
SANBORN-Philip S. Haseley, 76, well known farmer, of the Town of Lewiston, died at his home in Walmore Rd., Monday (March 5, 1956). He had been in ill health for some time.
He was born in Walmore Oct. 10, 1879, son of the late Frederick and Maria Fahrnwald Haseley. He was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Walmore.
He is survived by his wife, Anna DeVantier Haseley; two sons, Mervin and Philip Haseley Jr.; a grandson, Paul Haseley, and several nieces and nephews.

Louis F. Haseley, Pendleton resident, succumbs at 85
Louis F. Haseley, who would have celebrated his 86th birthday July 30, died yesterday in Lockport Memorial Hospital. Mr Haseley lived at 419H Lockport Road. He was a long-time Niagara County resident. Mr and Mrs Haseley celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 29, 19B7, the same year in which he became 80 years old. His birthday then was an occasion for a family reunion, with four of their six children returning from abroad and various parts of the country for the celebration. In addition to his wife, Mr Haseley is survived by two sons, Gordon Haseley of Pendleton and the Rev. Louis C Haseley of Valley Stream, L.I.; and four daughters, Lydia Haseley of Lockport, Mrs. Ihsan Hijazi of Beirut, Lebanon; Mabel Haseley of Chicago, and Mrs Wayne Berger of Kansas City, Mo He was the brother of Erie J Haseley of the Town of Niagara and Mrs Hugo Walck of the Town of Wheatfield Sixteen grandchildren also survive. SANBORN-Noah A. Haseley, 69, of Lockport Rd., a retired mechanic, died today (March 14, 1960) at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Niagara Falls, after a lengthy illness. Born in the Town of Niagara, March 19, 1960, Mr. Haseley was a son of the late Carl and Wilhelmina Pfohl Haseley. He was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and attended Cornell University. Mr. Haseley owned and operated a garage in Detroit for 35 years, retiring about eight years ago and returning to this area to make his home with his brother, Eric (sic) Haseley.
Surviving are two other brothers, Louis Haseley, Shawnee, and Carl F. Haseley, Niagara Falls, and a sister, Mrs. Hugo A. Walck, Sanborn. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Pike & Jones Funeral Home and at 2:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church by the Rev. Donald Rehkopf. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery

TOWN OF NIAGARA Erich J. Haseley. 86, of 8515 Lockport Road died Saturday (Oct. 28. 1978) in Memorial Medical Center, Niagara Falls.
A lifelong resident of the Town of Niagara, where he had operated a farm at Lockport and Packard roads, he was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was a former trustee and chairman of the congregation. He had served as chairman of the building committee of St. Peter's Lutheran School and was a charter member of Niagara No. 1,Volunteer Fire Co. He was also a former Town of Niagara Justice of the Peace and had served as town supervisor.
Surviving are his wife. Irene; a son, LaVern Haseley; a daughter, Mrs. William Gladys Schildhauer, both of the Town of Niagara; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Florence Haseley. Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore, Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Paul F. Wittenburg Officiating.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.

Carl F. Haseley, 68, of 501 B St., Sunny Acres, died Friday (Sept. 22, 1972) in Memorial Medical Center where he had been a patient for six weeks.
He was born in the Town of Niagara and retired in 1969 from the Penn Central Railroad where he had been an engineer for 35 years.

Aided in area parks development
Paul F. Haseley. whose expertise as a civil engineer was vital to the development of many area parks. including the Niagara Reservation, died Tuesday (March 17, 1987) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
Haseley. 87, of 87th Street was born in North Tonawanda and spent most of his life in this area. He started his civil engineering career on relocation of the New York Central Railroad under the U.S. Railroad Administration through the cities of North Tonawanda and Tonawanda in 1918.
From 1921 to 1926, he was with the Division of Highways and worked on the construction of highways and bridges in Erie, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua and Niagara counties. In 1926-27 he was a supervisory engineer for the Niagara County Highway Department, and in 1927-28, he was resident engineer for North Tonawanda.
In 1928, Haseley became engineer for the State Reservation of Niagara, now the Niagara Frontier State Park Commission. That year, he was also appointed by the Reservation Commission as engineer for the development of the Whirlpool and Devil's Hole State Park, as well as the Niagara Reservation. He supervised the triangulation survey for the collapse of the American Falls in January 1931. and in 1933, he designed and supervised the construction of the Stone Arch Bridge from Goat Island to Luna Island.
Also in 1933, preliminary studies were started for the development of Beaver Island State Park, West River Parkway, and Buckhorn Island State Park on Grand Island. A ferry provided transportation to the office headquarters at the former Sidway Estate, which is now Beaver Island State Park.
Haseley retired in 1955 from the Niagara Frontier State Park Commission in order to devote his time to a private practice as a consulting engineer.
He was a life member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, a member of the Society of American Military Engineers, a life and charter member of the New York State Society of Professional Engineers, a member of the Civil Service Commission of the State of New York, the Ismailia Temple, the Niagara Scottish Rite, the Buffalo Consistory, the Southerland Lodge No 826 F&AM, and was a member of Bacon Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Jean Andrews, who was secretary at Bacon Memorial Presbyterian Church for 27 years, recalled Wednesday how Haseley gave his time to the church as superintendent o( Sunday school. and as church elder. "He certainly was a man to be respected and a very dedicated member of this church." she said.
Surviving are his Alma, daughters Mrs. John (Jane) Murff of Irvington. N.Y., and Mrs. William (Carol) Kalberer of Colonial Heights. Va., and four grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at, the Lane Funeral Home, 8622 Buffalo Ave., where services, conducted by the Rev. Knight Washburn, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Burial will be at Oakland Rural Cemetery Youngstown.

Wallace "Wally" Pfohl, 82, who operated the family farm on Lockport Road and worked on it even after his retirement, died Thursday (Oct. 5, 2000) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Wheatfield.
Pfohl was a member of the Agricultural Stabilization Conservation Service, Niagara County Farm Bureau, and had served on the Agricultural Districting Advisory Committee. In addition, he was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where he served as trustee and on various project committees.
He played trumpet with bands, including the Bergholz German Band, with whom he traveled with to Europe, Canada and through the U.S.
Pfohl enjoyed cars, and often was seen driving his 1948 General Motors Corporation truck around town, as well as in parades.
His wife, the former Edna Schimschack, died in 1993.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Walck; a foster son, Harry Dickenson; a sister, Erna Stenzel of North Tonawanda; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Cvetan was an active member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a member of its St. Mary's Circle, the Forty-Niners Club, the Home Bureau and Meals on Wheels.
She and her husband of 65 years, Robert, enjoyed camping and traveling.

NIAGARA FALLS — Minnie L. DuBois (Wendt), age 89, of Niagara Falls, was called to her heavenly home, peacefully, on Thursday, October 20, 2011 to be with our Lord and Savior, at her residence, with her loving family by her bedside and under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on August 12, 1922 to the late Arthur and Minnie (Haseley) Wendt. She was employed at the former International Paper Company in Niagara Falls for several years. Minnie was united in marriage to Walter E. DuBois on July 10, 1943, and they were married 65 years when Walter entered into rest on March 25, 2009. In 1944 she was stricken with polio and with everything she endured, she held on to her strong faith in God and was a loving and devoted wife and mother, raising three children. Minnie was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, in Bergholz, enjoyed making crafts, playing cards and dominoes, cooking, baking and spending time with her family and friends. She was also predeceased by a sister, Violet Cvetan and three brothers, Ervin, Reinert and Arthur Wendt.

Survivors include her three children, Karen (Frederick) Goltz of Niagara Falls, Robert DuBois of Bergholz and Curtis (Kathy) DuBois of Niagara Falls; a brother, Herbert (Leaner) Wendt of Avon Park, FL; nine grandchildren, Hao, Tim, Heather, Thao, April, Marci, Julie, Bill and Paul; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was born Feb. 12, 1919, in the Town of Niagara, the daughter of Louis and Laura (Wendt) Haseley. She graduated from Niagara Falls High School.
Mrs. (sic) Haseley worked for the federal Department of Defense, Niagara Falls, for more than 30 years. She retired in 1977 as chief administrative officer of the Western New York Regulatory Office. She was a former member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Sanborn, and was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church, North Tonawanda. PENDLETON - Former Niagara County Legislator and Town Justice Gordon L. Haseley, a dairy farmer and lifelong Pendleton resident, died Tuesday in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a long illness. He was 83.
Mr. Haseley was a self-employed dairy farmer on the family's 200-acre Lockport Road farm until the early 1970s. He also was a life-fire-casualty insurance agent, stock broker, certified state nurseryman and landscaper. He served on the boards of the Dairy Council of Western New York, the Niagara County Milk Producers, the state Fish and Wildlife Management Service and the Sea Grant Lake Ontario advisory council.
He also was active in local civic affairs. He was founding chairman of the first Town of Pendleton Planning Board, served on the Pendleton Town Board in 1960, and as town justice from the late 1950s until 1970. He was a Niagara County legislator from 1970 to 1976, and a member of the Starpoint School Board for a decade after his legislative service.
Mr. Haseley was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda, where he had served as treasurer, trustee and elder. He was a member of the New York State Magistrates Association, Tonawanda Sportsmans Club, Lions Club, and the Farm Bureau. He was a charter member of the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company, and a member of NASDAQ and the 4-H.
"After he got out of dairy farming, he did his stone mason work, but I think he was really [most] proud of being on the Sea Grant board," said his daughter, Holly O'Connor. He helped Sea Grant with development strategies and environmental issues along Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence Seaway, O'Connor said. She said her father also enjoyed being a town justice.
His hobbies included fishing, hunting, woodworking and gardening.
His first wife, of 19 years, the former Helen Thiele, died in 1968. Surviving are his wife of 31 years, the former Alice R. Widzinski; six children, Peter of Germany, Holly O'Connor of Chicago, Nancy Haseley of Las Vegas, Thaddeus M. Piechalak of Cheektowaga, Paul Piechalak of Buffalo and Gary Piechalak of Lancaster; a brother, Louis of Holiday, Fla.; two sisters, Mildred Hijazi of Carlsbad, Calif., and Ruth Berger of Annapolis, MD.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Ex-Lockport Man Dies In Coast Crash
LOCKPORT - A former Lockport man was killed in an automobile accident Sunday (Feb. 14, 1965) while returning to his home in Corvallis, Ore., after a weekend drill with the Air Force Reserve at Portland, Ore. He was Capt. Arnold F. Haseley, 33, an associate professor at Oregon State University, while he was studying for his doctor's degree. He was a graduate of Purdue University, Mr. Haseley attended Lockport High School and graduated from North Tonawanda High School. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Corvallis, and was Sunday school superintendent.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Dana Alexander Haseley, and three children, Debra, Randall and Kristen Haseley, all of Corvallis; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis S. Rites Set For Victim Of Crash
NORTH TONAWANDA- Full military honors will be accorded to Capt. Arnold F. Haseley, 33, of Corvallis, Ore., formerly of Lockport Road, Town of Pendleton, who was fatally injured in an auto accident Sunday night near Salem, Ore.
The family and friend's will gather at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Martin's Lutheran Church, Old Falls Boulevard, for a procession to White Chapel Memorial Park for burial. Rev. Luther Knauff, pastor of St. Martin's Church, will conduct a prayer service.
Participating in the military rites will be members of the 4621st Support Group, Niagara Falls Air Force Base. Capt. Haseley was a member of the Air Force Reserve in Oregon and was an instructor at Oregon State University.

(nee Walck) Jagow-Wurl, age 94, of North Tonawanda, formerly of Bergholz, was called peacefully to her heavenly home on May 19, 2012 at the Northgate Health Care Facility, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, NY, on October 21, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Hugo A. and Ella (Haseley) Walck. Hilda was self employed as a Beautician, operating the former Bergholz Beauty Shop, for 35 years. She was an active member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, the Altar Guild, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, and a Sunday School teacher. Hilda was predeceased by her first husband, Walter F. Jagow, in 1949 and her second husband, Wilmer E. Wurl, in 1987; also three brothers and two sisters. 11-year-old Walmore Child Passes after Illness from Leg Infection. Harvey Walck, 11 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Walck, Walmore, died Saturday in the children's hospital, Buffalo, after an illness of three weeks which developed from an infection in his leg. Bernhard "Bernie" Emil Walck, 87, born April 14, 1922 in Wheatfield, NY to Emil Frederick Walck and Esther Natalie Beutel, passed away July 11, 2009 in the care of his family members at his daughter, Sharon's home in Green Cove Springs, FL. He grew up in the Niagara Falls area. He graduated from Capital University and Trinity Seminary in Columbus, OH. Bernhard served churches in the New York, Ontario, Canada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Montana and California. During his stay in Montana, he also served as civilian chaplain to the United States Air Force radar base at Opheim, MT. Bernhard was married to Florence Evelyn Pepper in 1943. This union lasted for fifty two years. Four children were born to this union, Sharon, Cassandra, Deborah and Rebekah. Since his retirement, Bernhard has been a volunteer chaplain at the hospital in Orange Park, Florida, Homewood Village in The Villages and served as "Elder of Heart" at Leesburg Assembly of God. During his stay in Florida, Bernhard renewed his acquaintance with a former parishioner, Allie Taylor Coombes. This led to their marriage on April, 19, 1998 at the Leesburg First Assembly of God where they held their membership for years. Bernhard is survived by his wife, Allie; children, Sharon Lloyd of Green Cove Springs, Florida, Cassandra Casto of Mansfield, Ohio, Deborah Williams of Delaware, Ohio, Rebekah Strickland of Greensboro, North Carolina; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Norman A. Walck, retired water superintendent of the Town of Wheatfield, died Tuesday (July 18, 2000) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness. He was 77.
He retired in 1988 after 34 years with the Town of Wheatfield.
A World War II veteran of the Army Air Forces, Walck was a past commander of American Legion Post 1451 in Wheatfield.
He also had served as president of the Wheatfield Business Association and as secretary of the American Waterworks Association, and was on the board of the former Bergholz Fire Insurance Co.
Walck was an exempt member of the Sanborn Fire Company.
He enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, the former Audrey Mueller; a son, Robert of Chicago; a daughter, Cheryl Hayes of Lockport; two sisters, Helen Waldkoetter of North Tonawanda and Doris Toellner of Michigan; a brother, Melvin of Michigan; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 A.M. Friday in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, on Walmore Road in Wheatfield. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

WHEATFlELD - Chester E. Walck, 65, of Hoover Road, died Saturday. (Dec. 5, 1992) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston. He was born in Wheatfield on Dec. 22, 1926, the son of August and Eleanor Walck. He was a lifelong resident of Wheatfield and a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Walmore Road, where he also was a past trustee.
Walck worked, at the Harrison Radiator Division of General Motors in Lockport for 34 years, retiring in 1989. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Wheatfield Republican Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and family life.
He is survived by his wife, Gertrude (Bechtel) Walck of Wheatfield; two daughters, Sharon Walck of Grand Island and Sandra Pluff of Lockport; a son, Ronald Walck of Ransomville; three sisters, Marion DuBois of Wheatfield, Helen Waldkoetter of North Tonawanda and Doris Toellner of Madison Heights, Mich.; two brothers, Melvin Walck of Farmington Hills, Mich., and Norman Walck of Sanborn; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Helen W. Waldkoetter (Gath) (nee Walck) of North Tonawanda, was taken by Jesus to her Heavenly home on December 2, 2008 while in Niagara Hospice House, after a 12 year courageous battle with cancer. Helen was a graduate of the Buffalo General School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse in the Obstetrics Unit at DeGraff Memorial Hospital until the early 1970’s. In the early 1980’s she began a career as a much loved tour escort in the travel industry as a co-founder of, The Way to Go Tours. She was a very active and devoted member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and for many years she worked for the Niagara County Board of Elections. She was the daughter of the late August and Eleaner Walck and was the wife of the late Irving Gath. Beloved wife of Jerry Waldkoetter; dear mother of Wendy (Thomas) Zuch, Randall (Lee) Gath, Kathleen (John) Fretthold, Robert (Edythe) Gath all of North Tonawanda, and Julie Waldkoetter of New York City. Gertrude H. Krull, age 91, at ElderWood Health Care at Wedgewood, Amherst, formerly of Wheatfield, was called to her heavenly home on November 7, 2014. Born on April 20, 1923 in the Town of Wheatfield, she was the daughter of the late William and Esther (Walck) Lange.

Gertrude was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Pekin, a former county elections inspector, baked special occasion cakes, enjoyed needlecrafts, playing cards and bingo.

Predeceased by her husband, Elwood Krull in 1987; a son, Gerald Krull in 1957; and brother, Norbert Lange. Survivors include three children, Russell (Cheryl) Krull of Varysburg, Curtis (Barbara) Krull of Amherst and Sherrie (John) Coleman of Rochester; grandchildren, Jason (Courtney) Krull, Sarah (Steven) Sheaks and John Coleman IV; great-grandchildren, Addysen and Natalie Sheaks; sister, Eleanor Moll of Wheatfield; brother, William Lange of Grove City, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

William G. Lange, age 94 of Wheatfield, NY, was called to his heavenly home on November 16, 2019 at Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY. Born in the Walmore area of Niagara County, NY, he was the son of the late William F. and Esther (Walck) Lange. Bill graduated from St. Peter's Lutheran School in Walmore, Trott Vocational High School in Niagara Falls, and Valparaiso Technical Institute in Indiana, where he received a degree in electrical engineering. Bill began work at Colonial Radio in Buffalo, NY, followed by employment at Bell Aerospace Textron in Wheatfield, for 40 years as an electrical engineer, and he designed the microgravity accelerometer. After retirement at Bell, he became president of Canopus Products in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he worked for five years developing the microgravity accelerometer used on the Space Shuttle, and the International Space Station. Later, Bill served as a consultant to Spectrum Astro in Gilbert, Arizona for several years. He was inducted into the Niagara Frontier Aviation and Space Hall of Fame in May 2012. After retirement, Bill enjoyed building and flying radio controlled airplanes, with his son David. He also collected models of military planes, enjoyed reading history novels, watching the History Channel, and cheering for the Pirates and Steelers.
Bill was a lifelong member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Walmore, and served his church as Sunday School Superintendent, Recording Secretary, Treasurer, Elder, and Co-Chairman of the church's new entrance building committee.
Bill married Shirley Walck in 1949, and she preceded him in death in March 1989. They were blessed with four children, Kathleen (Rev. David) Beutel, David (Barbara) Lange, Steven (Sandra) Lange, and Brian (Leslie) Lange. Survivors also include his wife, Nancy I. (Mueller-Baum) Lange; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Alice Lange.
He was also preceeded in death by an infant son, Bradley; a brother, Norbert, and two sisters, Gertrude (Elwood) Krull, and Eleanore (Norman) Moll.
Visitation will take place in St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church of Walmore, 6168 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY 14132, on Saturday, November 23 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the meeting room located in the new entrance. TOWN OF WHEATFIELD — Norbert G. Lange, 78, a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield, was called to his heavenly home, after a brief illness, on December 16, 2010. He was born on June 5, 1932 to William and Esther Lange.

Norbert graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1950 and the University of Buffalo, School of Engineering, later earning his Professional Engineering License. He started his professional career at Stauffer Chemical and continued at Occidental Petroleum and at Wendel Engineering, where he was a principal. He was also a part-time engineering professor at NCCC.

He was awarded two patents by the United States Patent Office while employed by Occidental. Norbert never retired and continued the love for his profession as construction manager of Calspan, Niagara Falls Airport, Adams Fire Company Hall No. 2, Wheatfield and the WNY Breast Health Center, Amherst. He also built several private hangars at the Niagara Falls Airport and had his private pilot license.

A lifelong member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Norbert served as past President and Sunday School teacher.

He is survived by his loving wife, Alice (Milleville) Lange of 58 years; four children, Keith (Wendy) Lange of the Town of Wheatfield, Marsha Dixson of Saline, MI, Karen (Merwan) Mereby of Denville, NJ and Gregory (Barbara) Lange of the Town of Wheatfield; two sisters, Eleanor Moll and Gertrude Krull, both of the Town of Wheatfield; a brother, William (Nancy) Lange of Grove City, PA; eight grandchildren, Scott (Denise), Jeffrey (Jaime) and Aaron (fiancee Joelle) Lange, Shawn and Deanna Dixson, Sarah and Stephen Mereby, Austin Lange; four great-grandchildren, Marissa, Matthew, Bridgette and Abigail Lange; several nieces and nephews.

SANBORN, Feb. 20.-The funeral of Mrs. Edna Haseley Kroening, aged 28 years, wife of Edwin Kroening of the Saunder's (sic) Settlement road, who died at Niagara Falls Memorial hospital on Tuesday, which was held from her late home on Friday at 2 p. m., and 2:30 p. m. from St. Peter's church at Walmore, was one of the largest ever held in this community. A wonderful profusion of beautiful floral tributes bespoke of the high esteem in which she was held by all who knew her. The bearers were cousins and included Messrs. Martin Pfohl, Edwin Haseley. Segmund (sic) Mackensen, William Kroening, Segmund (sic) Pfohl and Henry Thiele. Rev. Edward Graubau (sic) officiated. Burial was in Walmore cemetery.

He was born in the Town of Lewiston on May 8, 1919, the son of Philip F. Haseley and Anna DeVantier Haseley. He had lived all his life at the Walmore Road address where he operated a farm.
Mr. Haseley was a life member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore, and was a member of the Sanborn Volunteer Fire Co. band for many years.
Survivors include his widow, the former Carol Bohl; a son, Robert, and a daughter, Judy, both at home; a brother, Mervin P. Haseley of Sanborn; a nephew, Paul Haseley, Sanborn, and several aunts and uncles.
Friends may call at the Pike and Jones Funeral Home Inc. from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Sunday and Monday, and from noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church where funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. She was born Sept. 12, 1913, in Wheatfield, the daughter of Adolf and Eleonore (Retzlaff) Haseley.
On Sept. 21. 1935, she married Arthur P. DuBois in Niagara Falls.
Mrs. DuBois was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church. where she belonged to the Ladies Aide (sic) and Alter Guild for many years. She also was an exempt member of the Bergholz Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed needlepoint and crocheting.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Duane DuBois of Wheatfield; a daughter, Jane Andrews of Sanborn; two brothers, Melvin Walck of Farmington, Mich., and Norman Walck of Sanborn; two sisters, Helen Waldkoetter of North Tonawanda and Doris Toellner of Madison Heights. Mich.; two granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Chester Walck.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, where the Ladies Auxiliary of the Bergholz Fire Co. will conduct a memorial service at 7 p.m. today. The Rev. Philip N. Sallach will conduct services at 11 a.m. Monday in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Niagara Road and Luther Street. Interment will be in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield.

WHEATFIELD - Agnes V. Walck, of Wheatfield, died Friday in Elderwood Health Care Center at CrestWood. She was 95.
Born Agnes Pfohl in the Town of Wheatfield, she attended local schools. She was a devoted homemaker and a lifelong, active member of St. Peter's Evangelical
Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years and was a member of the Women of the Church.
She also was a member of the Sanbornite Senior Citizens and enjoyed many trips with the group.
Her husband of 52 years, Theodore J., died in 1983.

He was born in the Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY, on April 16, 1914, the son of Anton and Elsie [ Haseley ] Pfohl, where he attended local schools. Hubert worked most of his life as a farmer, he had also been employed for 16 years, for the New York State Highway Department.
He was a life long member of St. Peter Evangelical Church, Walmore, NY, where he had served as an elder and trustee. He was married in St. Peter's Church on October 30, 1938, to the former Norma A. Walck.
He was a loving and devoted husband and father, especially to his daughter Karen, who predeceased him.
Surviving is his wife of 64 years, Norma, two daughters, Beverly [ Charles ] Pendergast; Janet [ David ] Tober, both of Sanborn, NY; a sister, Agnes Walck, of Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY; five grandchildren, Kristen [ Marty ] Kenny; Mark [ Nancy ] Miller; Rachel [ Daryl ] Haseley; Beth [ Steve ] Guidetti; Michael [ fiancé Lisa Rynn ] Tober; 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Pfohl was born in Wheatfield on Nov. 12, 1918, the son of Anthony and Elsie (Haseley) Pfohl, and was a lifelong Wheatfield resident. In 1948, he and Clarence Kroening formed a partnership to operate the Sanborn Milling Co. Inc. He later bought Kroening's share. and continued to operate the business for another 15 years until his retirement in 1983.
Pfohl was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Sanborn, where he held various positions over the years. He. was an exempt member of. the Sanborn Fire Co. and the Sanborn Lions Club, and a former member of the LaSalle Sportsmen's Club.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Eleanor H. Devantier) Pfohl; a daughter, Ann Kroening of Sanborn; a son, Eugene Pfohl of Sanborn; a brother, Hubert Pfohl of Sanborn; a sister, Agnes Walck of Niagara Falls; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Young Man of 20 Called by Death
SANBORN, Jan. 11.-Howard C. Haseley, 21 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. George C. Haseley, of the Saunders Settlement road, two miles west of this village, died today at the Memorial hospital, Niagara Falls. Mr. Haseley underwent an operation about three weeks ago and was on the road to recovery and removed to his home. Later a relapse developed and he was returned to the institution. Besides the parents, Mr. Haseley is survived by one brother, Milton, and one sister, Sylvia, both at home. Funeral services will be held from the home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock and at St. Peter's church, Walmore, at 2:30. Interment will be in Walmore cemetery.

Warren E. Haseley of Port Washington passed to his eternal rest on October 20, 2018 at the age of 96. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Bernice (Antoine) of Port Washington, daughter Susan (Keith) Campbell of Richfield, and sons Gary (Debra) of Port Washington and Warren (Marjorie) of Mt. Prospect, IL. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sister Nancy (Paul) Swatek of Lake Geneva, and brothers Donald (Lillian) Haseley of Port Washington and Eugene (the late Betty) Haseley of Lake Geneva. Preceding him in death are two sons, Dean and Gregory, sisters Adene Haseley, Carol (the late Lawrence) Entress and Phyllis (the late Gerald) Klopp, brother Leonard “Skip” (Betty Jane) Haseley, as well as many friends and other family members. Warren was born in Lake Elmo, Minnesota, on February 17, 1922. His family moved to the Jackson/Cedarburg area before settling in Port Washington, where he graduated from high school. Warren was active in many sports and the high school band. After graduation, he entered the Army Air Corps and was stationed in San Angelo, Texas. After discharge, he attended LaCrosse State Teachers College where he was first chair trumpet in the college band. Warren graduated with a bachelor’s degree in physical education and recreation, and later went on to receive a master’s degree in Administration from Roosevelt University in Chicago. He and Bernice were married on June 17, 1950, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Lake Church, in the Town of Belgium. Warren taught at Southern Colony in Union Grove before he found a teaching position in Waukegan, IL, at Thomas Jefferson Junior High School. He taught physical education, health, and coached basketball for fourteen years before being offered an assistant principal’s position at Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Port Washington in 1968. Mr. Haseley retired from education in 1986, after spending 33 years educating and nurturing teachers and students. In retirement, Warren was active in many senior programs in Port Washington: he served on the Senior Citizen Counsel, played senior softball and started the senior horseshoes’ program in town. His love of music was very important to him; Warren was a charter member of the Ozaukee County Barbershop Chorus, and played his trumpet in the New Horizons Senior band. He and Bernice delivered Meals-on-Wheels for thirty years and he also volunteered for fish fries at his parish, St. John XXIII in Port. Warren was also a longtime member of the Van Ells-Schanen American Legion Post 82 in Port Washington.
Warren and Bernice were fortunate to travel to Hawaii and Austria, as well as many cities in the United States. He always expressed disbelief that he actually walked the paths in the Alps. He was amazed at all life had given him.
Warren’s wife and family would like to express their deep gratitude to all the friends and family for the support and love over the last year. Special appreciation and admiration is given to the caregivers and nurses of Harbor Club/Cove; their kindness and compassion will never be forgotten. The family also thanks Heartland Hospice, especially Ann, who took such good care of the entire family, especially Dad, and helped them understand and accept this difficult journey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, October 25th at St. John XXIII-St. Peter of Alcantara Church, 1800 N. Wisconsin St., Port Washington; Father Patrick Wendt will preside. Mass will be followed by Military Honors before processing to St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Washington, for interment. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Thursday from 11:30AM until services at 1PM, with a Legion walk-through scheduled to begin at 12:30PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Warren’s name can be sent to his favorite charities: American Heart Association and Special Olympics of Ozaukee County. Leonard Haseley or "Skip" as he was called by all who knew him passed away Tuesday, September 10th. He was born in Jackson, Wisconsin to Eugene and Agnes Haseley in1927. He has loved living in Paw Paw for almost 20 years with his wife of almost 65 years, Betty Jane, and close to his daughter Peggy and her family in Portage. Skip spent most of his early years ,the middle child in a family of 7 children, growing up in Port Washington, Wisconsin. Right out of High School he enlisted in the Navy and was sent to the Pacific theater. After his discharge he came back to Port Washington and married Betty Jane Kirsch whom he had dated in high school. They soon gave birth to a son, David. But, life took a twist and Skip was called back into to the Navy and sent back to the Pacific for the Korean War. Guess they figured he knew the Pacific. After the Korean War he was again discharged and this time for good. He came back to his young family in Port Washington and got a job at the local power company. Skip was not satisfied with being confined inside all day, not to mention working the all too often night shift. During this time Skip and Betty Jane gave birth to daughter Peggy. With his friendly personality and love of people, sales is where he felt he needed to be. One of his brothers was working at a local car dealership and said they were looking for salesmen. Skip jumped at the opportunity. Skip loved spending time with his family so after a few years of working weekends and evenings one of his other brothers, who was working for a lawn and garden manufacturer, encouraged him to pursue a sales position selling lawn and garden equipment. He would spend the next 30 years working in this industry as a successful, much liked and respected sales manager. When he retired from MTD in Cleveland at age 67 he and Betty Jane decided to move back to the central Michigan area where they had once lived and where Peggy & Gary and grandson Shain and his wife Sarah currently reside. Skip loved to sing and for many years sang with the Barber Shoppers. Everyone in the family who received a call from Skip on their birthday also got an added bonus of hearing "Happy Birthday" sung to them. He always had a melody in his voice and a song in his heart. Skip loved seeing his family, all of them, and when living in Port Washington where most lived, he and the family would spend the day visiting them all whether they wanted to or not. Skip is survived by his wife Betty Jane, son David and wife Jenny of Easton, MD, daughter Peggy and husband Gary of Portage, MI, grandson Alexander Haseley and wife Courtney, great granddaughter Avery of Paris, France, grandson Shain and wife Sarah of Scotts, MI. In addition, he is survived by brothers Warren, Donald and Eugene and sisters Phyllis, Carol and Nancy all from Wisconsin. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 13th from 2 to 3pm, at Life Story Funeral Home, 409 S. Main, Vicksburg (269-649-1697). The funeral service will be on Friday at 3pm at the same location. Skip will be buried with military honors at Fort Custer National Cemetery.

Mr. Donald Haseley, of Port Washington, passed away with his family by his side at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa. He was 93 years old. Don was born in Kirchhayn, WI, on July 4, 1928, son of Eugene Haseley and Agnes Richert Haseley. The family moved to the Port Washington area, where Donald graduated from Port Washington High School with the class of 1946. After high school, Don served his country in the United States Army, playing trumpet in the 421st Army Band. He was honorably discharged in 1951. On October 9, 1954, Don married Lillian Wagner at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Barton. The couple settled in Port Washington to start their family. The couple were married for 64 years before Lillian preceded him in death in 2019. Don was the proud owner and operator of the Gamble's Store in Port Washington for many years. Later, he worked for Schmidt Bros. Dodge until his retirement. He was very active in his community, where he was a former member of the Port Washington Chamber of Commerce, the Port Washington Police and Fire Commission, and the Port Washington Kiwanis Club. Don was an active member of the American Legion Van Ells-Schanen Post 82 where he was a post commander (twice) and also a member of Post 5373 Veterans of Foreign Wars. For over 60 years, Don proudly served as Bugler for local honor guards, playing Taps whenever called upon for fellow veteran's funerals. Don is a current member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton and a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Port Washington. Don is survived by his six children: Jeanne (Joe) Kunzelmann of Mt. Juliet, TN, Donald "Jim" (Maribeth) Haseley of Saugatuck, MI, Lori (Mike) Lanser of Sheboygan, Richard (Mary Kay) Haseley of Windemere, FL, Diane (Mike) Trowbridge of Hartford, and Robin (Jay) Hommel of Greer, SC. He is further survived by eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, his siblings Nancy (Paul) Swatek and Eugene Haseley both of Lake Geneva, a sister-in-law Bernice Haseley of Port Washington, other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lillian, three sisters and two brothers. Private family funeral services will be held. He will be laid to rest with military honors at St. Mary's Parish Cemetery, Port Washington.

Carol A. Entress, (Nee Haseley) of Grafton, died peacefully surrounded by her family at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc, on October 13, 2015 at the age of 83. Carol was born in Port Washington, WI on August 9, 1932 the daughter of the late Eugene and Agnes (Nee Richter) Haseley. On June 12, 1954 Carol was united in marriage to the late Lawrence “Red” Entress at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Port Washington. Carol was a founding member of the Cedarburg Garden Club, and was active in Bible studies and gourmet club. She loved her music appreciation classes and was happiest with family around her. She loved gardening and was always generous with sharing plants from her spectacular gardens. She found her greatest joy with family - siblings, children and grandchildren. Her blue eyes, infectious smile and positive personality will be missed by many. Carol is survived by her loving children: Jeffrey (Patricia) Entress & Jill (Richard) Cooper; grandchildren: Emily (Ryan) Clark, Carolyn & Alec Entress; Kaitlyn, Carly & James Cooper; brothers: Warren (Bernice) Haseley, Eugene (Betty Ann) Haseley and Donald (Lillian) Haseley; and her sister, Nancy (Duke) Swatek. Jack Alexander Haseley
Waco - Jack Haseley lived a fulfilling 91 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Mildred Haseley. He is survived by Maybeth, his loving wife of 33 years, as well as his children: Marie, Melissa (Guy), Amy (Jack) and Sara (Emily). He leaves behind five grandchildren; Christopher (Crystal), Megan (John), Emily, Zachary (Nicole) and Evan. Six Great-grandchildren: Shelby, Brandon, Nathan, Elijah, Colby and Colton. Jack graduated from Grant Union High School in 1948. He worked for California Department of Forestry as a lookout in Colfax. He served in the Army during the Korean War and when he came home he worked as a ranger for the State of CA Beaches & Parks in Tahoe City. He then worked for CDF and was a patrolman at Baker's Ford, the Fire Patrol Prevention Specialist for El Dorado County, instructor at the Fire Academy in Sutter Creek, and eventually retired as Arson Investigator. Jack is well-known for his initiation of the Pioneer Volunteer Fire Department which consisted of merging several small departments and creating the largest of all volunteer fire departments in CA., where he also served as Commissioner. Ge was a board member of the Pioneer School District 1962-1973. He loved serving his community and made many lifelong friends. Jack was a member of the Smith Valley Community United Methodist Church in Smith, NV. A Celebration of Life will be held at this location at a later date. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
