Ferdinand Strasburg, 75 years old, a lifelong rcsident of La Salle, died yesterday at bis home in Tompkins Avenue in that village. For many years he had been engaged in the real estate business and long was actively interested In public affairs of the village. He served for four years as a member of the village board of trustees. Last May 25 Mr. Strasburg and his wife celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. He is survived by his wife, four daughters and one son. They are Mrs. George Hodge and Mrs Emma Luick, of this city: Mrs. Frank Getzin and Mrs. Albert Wingert, of Buffalo, and one son Henry Strasburg of Buffalo. The funeral will he held from the house tomorrow afternoon at 2.o'clock and a half hour later from the Zion church in LaSalle. The Rev.Daniel Goerss will officiate. Rev. R. Halladay Woods of th3 North Presbyterian church, who Is vacationing in the Adirondacks will return, to conduct the funeral services. Mrs. Werth was an Invalid for the past fifty-years. Through her long years of suffering, she displayed remarkable cheerfulness and fortitude. It was these characteristics which earned her the everlasting friendship of a large circle of acquaintances.

He retired from business a year ago.

W. C. Strassburg Dies in California; Services Today
A former North Tonawanda resident, William C. Strassburg, died Wednesday at the home of his daughter. Mrs. Arthur (Esther) Franklin, of Malibu, Calif. He was 91.
Funeral services for Mr. Strassburg will be today at the Little Chapel of the Dawn, Santa Monica, Calif., with the Rev. Lawrence Wynekin, of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Pacific Palisades, officiating. Mr. Strassburg is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Alma Wilke of Valley Center, Calif.; Mrs. Earline Rosebrock of Santa Monica and Mrs. Franklin. He also leaves seven grandchildren, one of whom, Mrs. Elda Loge Kopp, still resides in North Tonawanda, and 18 great grandchildren. He was born in Niagara County on June 28, 1867. He married the former Wilhemina Krull in 1892 in Bergholz. Mr. Strassburg was a member of St. Mark's and St. Matthew's Church, North Tonawanda and was former ownere of the Krull Coal Co. He and his family moved to California in 1923. Mrs. Strassburg died in 1957.

SANBORN, June 14 — John A. Strasburg, prominent Ward road farmer died at his home yesterday after a short Illness.

Born In the Town of Wheatfleld July 31. 1877, the son of the late August and Auguste Strasburg. He has resided In the vicinity of Sanborn for 53 years.

Surviving are his wife Auguste Stoelting, five daughters. Mrs. Fred Wermuth. of Rochester; Mrs. Lewis Schworm, of Niagara Falls; Mrs. Elmore Herbst. of Lockport; Mrs. Clinton S. Hermanson and Mrs. Robert Strasburg of Niagara Falls. Leslie Read, both of Sanborn.

Two sons, Burnet Strasburg. at home, a sister Matilda of Sanborn and one brother Walter of Niagara Falls, eight grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held from the home In the Ward road, Sanborn. Wednesday at 2:30 p. m. with the Rev. Frank N. Taft officiating. Interment will be In Mt. View cemetery Pekln.

N. T. Man Stricken, Dies at DeGraff
Henry W. Strassburg, 64, of 83 Felton street, died suddenly last night in the DeGraff Memorial hospital. He was in the yard at his home when he was stricken with a heart attack. A North Tonawanda police ambulance removed him to the hospital at 9 o'clock. He died there 20 minutes later. A month prior he sustained a slight paralytic stroke.
Born in the town of Wheatfield, Mr. Strassburg had resided in this vicinity all his life. In recent years he had resided at the Felton street address.
Surviving are a son, Corp. well drilling business.
Mr. Strassbourg died Saturday
(Dec. 17, 1955) in Niagara Falls
Memorial Hospital .which he entered
Thursday after suffering a
stroke earlier in the week. He had
been in poor health since suffering
a stroke six years ago. A son,
Harland Strassburg, at home, has
been operating the business.
Mr . Strassburg Was a lifelong
member of St. Andrew's Lutheran
Church here and a charter member
of the Pekin Volunteer Fire Co..
He was also a member of the Sanborn
Lions Club.
Born Mav 27, 1890, in Bergholtz,
he was the son of the late Christ
arid Wilhelmina Grassman Strass-
burg.. He was married on June 26,
1913, to Emma Trippensee. He
founded the well drilling firm in
1913.
Survivors in addition to his wife

Mrs. Amalie F. Holland, 64, wife of Albert H. Holland, 1058 Ninety First St, died at her home this morning after an illness of 5 months. She was a native of Bergholtz, NY and has resided here more than 60 years. Besides her husband, Mrs. Holland is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Roszel, of this city; four sons, Clarence, Harold and Edgar Holland, of this city, and Sergeant George Holland, of Fort Myers, Fla.; her father, Henry E. Walter E. Strasburg Received Purple Heart in WW I
Walter E. Strasburg, who received a Purple Heart while serving in the U.S. Army during World War I, died in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center Monday (Feb. 24, 1986). He was 89. A resident of Cayuga Drive, he was born in Niagara Falls' LaSalle area. Strasburg was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Bergholz and a charter member of the John J. Welch Post 381 American Legion. He worked at the Nabisco Co. for 49 years as a supervisor until retiring in 1966. He is survived by his wife, Dollie L. (Hartman} Strasburg and many nieces and nephews. Three sisters and five brothers died earlier. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Otto A. Strassburg, 81, of 38 North End Ave., Kenmore, died Tuesday in Meyer Memorial Hospital, Buffalo, after a lengthy illness.
A retired carpenter, Mr. Strassburg was a member of Newfane Lodge 947, F&AM. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Alice Bailey of Newfane, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Four sisters and a brother also survive.

15 March 1943 Evening News of the Tonawandas
Struck by an automobile early Sunday morning while walking along a Lockport highway, Benjamin F. Strassburg, 55 years old, a former North Tonawandan, died several hours later in the Lockport City Hospital. According to police Strassburg was critically injured when he was hit on the Chestnut Ridge road, a few miles outside the Lockport city limits. Driver of the car was identified as Wallace Worden of 251 Caledonia street, Lockport.
Born in the town of Wheatfield, Strassburg lived most of his life here. He had been living at 32 Chestnut street, Lockport, for the past four years. He is survived by two brothers and seven sisters. The brothers are Otto of Kenmore and Walter, of Wheatfield. The sisters include the Mesdames Walter Suter, William Wurl and Edward Schroeder of North Tonawanda, Fred Zastrow and Norman Achenbach of Wheatfield, Burt Moore of Buffalo and Paul Mueller of Niagara Falls.
The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Achenbach residence on the Ward road. Burial will be in the Frieden's Cemetery. The Rev. Theophil Twente will officiate

SCHROEDER - Louise Schroeder, 97, of North Tonawanda, Wednesday (January 13, 1988) in Mt. View Skilled Nursing Facility after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Schroeder was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of North Tonawanda. She was the wife of the late Edward F. Schroeder who died in 1956. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Norma) Bergman of East Amherst, New York, and Mrs. Lucius (Dorothy) Curtis of North Tonawanda; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Hilda Aschenbach of North Tonawanda; also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Violet Herman.

Man Dies After Auto Collision
Bergholtz Resident Succumbs in Hospital Here
Herman Strasburg 58 years old, of Bergholtz, died shortly after noon today in Memorial hospital from injuries sustained Saturday morning in an automobile collision on the Niagara Falls boulevard near Bergholtz. Strasburg's car, which he was driving out of a gasoline station at the time of the accident, was struck by another car driven by Carl Kosbob, 323 Cambridge street, Buffalo. Two women and a child were also injured in the accident. Mrs. Walter Hofer, 26 years old, 262 East Tenth street, Oswego, riding with Kosbob, and her two-year-old son William sustained cuts and bruises and Miss Elizabeth Werth, 32 years old, of Bergholtz, riding with Strassburg, suffered lacerations of the eye, scalp and face.

Mrs. Witkop had been living with

for two years after spending most
of her life at Cambria. She was

Mrs. Witkop was a member of

death, of. Mrs. Ida Burmaster. 68.
formerly of North Lake street, which
occurred yesterday at the home of
her son, Kenneth Burmaster, at Oak
Ridge, Tenn. Mrs. Burmaster spent
a part of each year visiting her son
and part with relatives in Ransom-
ville. She was the widow of George
Burmaster.
Mrs. Burmaster was born in Ton-
awanda and lived in Ransomville for
the last 58 years. She was an active
member of St. Peters Lutheran
Evangelical church, North Ridge,
and the Ladies Auxiliary of the
Ransomville Fire company.
