WILLIAM A. ANDREES
William A. Andrees, 52 years old, died yesterday afternoon at his home on the Nash road at St. Johnsburg after a brief illness. Besides his wife, the deceased is survived by five sons, Henry, William, George, Ernest and Norman of St. Johnsburg; four daughters, the Misses Wilhelmina, Louise, Rosina and Emma Andrees; his mother, Mrs. Wilhelmina Andrees; one brother, Henry Andrees of Ransomville and three sisters, Mrs. August Strassburg and Mrs, Charles Stang (sic) of St. Johnsburg and Mrs. Charles Werth of North Tonawanda. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the late residence and half an hour late from St. John's Lutheran  Church at St. Johnsburg.  Rev. William Albrecht officiating. Interment will be made at St. Johnsburg. Henry Andrees, the oldest son, is in the National Army.

TONAWANDA - Henry C. Andrees, 75, formerly of 49 Adam St., died Tuesday (Dec. 1, 1970) at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Buffalo after a long illness. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, he had lived in this area all his life and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He was the husband of the late Viola Broecker Andres. He is survived by two daughters, Miss Gladys L. Andrees of this city and Mrs. Sherwood (Marian) Graff, of North Tonawanda; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Heschke, Mrs. Carl Lureman and Mrs. Philip Moll; and three brothers, William and Ernest Andrees, all of North Tonawanda, and Norman Andrees of Amherst; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held, at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Clarence Rabe will, officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. William C. Andrees, 100, a retired employee of the Wurlitzer Co. and a charter member of the Adams Fire Company and the Volunteer Fireman's Benevolent Association, died Friday (Dec. 17, 1999) in the Niagara Lutheran Home in Buffalo after a brief illness.
He was born in Wheatfield, where he worked on his parents' farm and attended St. John Lutheran School.
For 42 years, he worked at the former Wurlitzer Co. in North Tonawanda as a lumber handler and as an assistant supervisor. He retired in 1965.
Andrees was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church and a member of the Wheatfield Senior Citizens.
His wife, the former Florence M. Heschke, died in 1985.
Survivors include two sons, Edward W. of North Tonawanda and William A.; a daughter, VA Lemke of North Tonawanda; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. John Lutheran Church, Ward Road and Niagara Falls Boulevard. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery.

Besides her husband she is survived by a son L. Cort (trina) Klein and a daughter, Kris (Douglas) McLean, brother Karl (Gloria) Hildebrandt, sister, Janet (Late Robert) Duckworth and brother in-law Clyde (late Gretchen) Peters. She was predeceased by her sisters Dorothy (late John) Rowland and Ruth (late Elmer) Lamb. Also surviving are three step grandchildren, and one great step granddaughter along with several nieces and nephews.
Betty was her husband's court clerk for 18 years, retiring in December 2000. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Shawnee, lifetime member of the Starpoint PTA, Pendleton Historical Society and the New York State Magistrates and Court Clerks Association.

He was the son of the late William and Florence (nee Heschke) Andrees. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the European theatre. He was the owner and operator of Gold Star Associates, Inc. and was a former employee of the Wurlitzer Co., the Metropolitan Life Ins. Co. He was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, serving as an usher and member of the Church Council. He was a member and past president of the Rescue Fire Co., a former member of the Adams Fire Co. and was a member of American Legion, Wheatfield Post #1451. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, vacationing with his family, traveling in his motorhome and dancing. He also enjoyed horse racing, playing cards, watching the Buffalo Bills and Sabres. His favorite thing was having a Manhattan for Happy Hour with family and friends. He was the husband of the late Arlene Ellen (nee Freck) Andrees for 63 years. William A. Andrees "Bill"Age 99, of the Town of Porter, NY, was called peacefully to his heavenly home on November 3, 2022, at his residence. Bill was the son of the late William C. and Florence (Heschke) Andrees, the brother of the late Edward W. (Arlene) Andrees and the late Virginia (Richard) Lemke. He was predeceased by his loving wife Dolores (Moll). He lived most of his life in the Town of Wheatfield and was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church serving as Elder and Treasurer. He was a member of the Adams Fire Company and in the past served as Chairman of the Town of Wheatfield Planning Board. Bill spent most of his career in the automobile business as a salesman at Lampe Motors and J.C. Stevens and Parts Manager at Muck Motors. He also worked at Wurlitzer as a draftsman, at Curtiss-Wright during World War II on the P-40 and C-46 airplanes, and at Bell Aerospace as an Expeditor. Bill’s greatest source of joy and pride was his family. He is survived by two sons Gary W. (Gail) Andrees of East Amherst, NY, David L. (Marianna) Andrees of North Tonawanda, NY, and a daughter Susan B. Roderick J. Rowland, age 76, of Tonawanda, died November 27th, 2023. Roderick was the son of John and Dorothy Rowland, and adored brother to Juliet and Jay, brother-in-law to Claudia. He was the cherished father of Rob, Christopher, and Sean Rowland and grandfather of Bryce and Hannah Rowland. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

EAST AURORA — Randy Dean Mellenthine, age 58, of East Aurora, formerly of North Tonawanda, unexpectedly, December 20, 2012 in Buffalo Mercy Hospital. Randy worked as a bartender and waiter for many local restaurants in Western New York. He loved music and was a triple drummer for the Hamburg K Percussion Line.

Beloved husband of Diane (Barrie) Mellenthine; stepfather of William (Anita) Fralick, James Fralick, Michael (Kristen) Fralick and Leah Rammacher; grandfather of Riley, Tristin, Kyran, Taylor, Mikayla and Madison; brother of Douglas (Sherry) Mellenthine of Batavia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., in North Tonawanda, Thursday from 1-4 & 6-8 PM. A funeral service will begin at 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association.
