HEBELER – Lawrence C. Hebeler, 68 of 106 Rumbold Ave., North Tonawanda, Monday (Oct. 4, 1971) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Born in the Town of Pendelton, he had lived in North Tonawanda 40 years and was a member of Ascension Church. Mr. Hebeler was employed at Wurlitzer Co. 43 years.
He is survived by his wife, Isabella Haseley Hebeler; a daughter, Miss Jeanette G. Hebeler of North Tonawanda; a son, Norman L. Hebeler of Niagara Falls; three brothers, Albert Hebeler of North Tonawanda, Rainer and Richard Hebeler of Lockport and two grandchildren.

Victor Hebeler, 36, of Fiegel road, Town of Pendleton, died at Buffalo General Hospital, Thursday evening after a long illness. Mr. Hebeler, a lifelong resident of Pendleton, is survived by his wife, Laura, nee Fiegel; two sons, Roger and James; one daughter, Bernice, and six brothers, Andrew, Albert, and Lawrence, of North Tonawanda; Leonard of Lockport; Richard and Rainer of Pendleton. BUFFALO — Agnes Irene Van Buren, of Akron, NY, entered into rest, unexpectedly, August 7, 2011 in Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, NY. Born February 18, 1923 in Lockport, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Emma (Cummings) Hebeler.

Agnes attended DeSales High School in Lockport, NY. For several years she was employed at Harrison Radiator in Lockport.

Mrs. VanBuren enjoyed being a homemaker. Agnes enjoyed being a stay at home mother and caring for her children and her late husband. Her pride and joy was her family.

Agnes was a member of St. Teresa’s RC Church in Akron. She enjoyed playing cards, doing puzzles and being a true friend to all that knew and loved her.

Dear wife of the late George E. VanBuren, who died on December 28, 1992. Loving and cherished mother of Sherry (Ronald) Shimel, Nancy (John) Lang, Cynthia VanBuren and Richard VanBuren. Proud grandmother of Maria (Edward) Kreher, Michelle (Robert) Finnigan, Anita (Jeffery) Cummings and Allen John Lang. Great-grandmother of Anthony, Erik Kreher, Britany and Hunter Cummings.

LOCKPORT — Deborah A. Gaskill, of Lockport, NY, entered into rest on Thursday, September 19, 2013, at home, after a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer. Deborah was born on January 28, 1951 in Lockport, NY. She was the daughter of Frederick and the late Marie (Hebeler) Rankie.

Deborah was a graduate of DeSales Catholic High School in 1968 and D'Youville College in 1972. She was a member of the Lockport Community Cable Commission, Cold Springs Cemetery Association, Barge Canal Optimist Club, Town of Lockport Republican Committee and a past chairman of the Town of Lockport Republican Committee. She retired from the Niagara County Water District, was a former Town of Lockport Deputy Town Clerk, council member for eight years, Deputy Supervisor for two years and a member of the Town Recreation Commission for 31 years. She was honored by the Niagara County Federation of Republican Women as a "Woman of Distinction" and in 2010, the Town of Lockport Day Road Park soccer fields were dedicated as the "Gaskill Soccer Fields" in her honor.

Deborah is survived by her husband of 37 years, Kenneth R. Gaskill; sons, K. Zachary (Elizabeth) and Evan C. (Luciana); grandmother of Leah, Ellie and Lucy and another granddaughter arriving in November; stepmother, Martha Rankie; aunt, Patricia (late Robert) Nodine; uncle, Clyde (late Virginia) Rankie; brother-in-law, Richard (Pam) Gaskill; sisters-in-law, Doris (Lloyd) Dent, Linda Schultz and Marjorie Loupret; also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews and stepsisters.

NASHVILLE, TN — Jeffrey M. Braunbach, of Lockport, entered into rest, suddenly, Thursday, May 24, 2012 in Nashville, TN. Born December 29, 1960, he was the son of the late Robert H. and Audrey Hebler Braunbach, Sr. Jeff was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed hunting.

Father of Christopher Allen of Port St. Lucie, FL, Adam and Steven Braunbach, both of Lockport; grandfather of Raylee Allen of Port St. Lucie, FL; brother of Robert H. (Gail) Braunbach, Jr. of Tonawanda; step-son of Martha Ann (David J.) Braunbach Wilczewski of Lockport. Jeff was also fortunate to have two great friends, Joseph Brant and Raymond Carlstead, along with the late Sr. Josephine Pepe, who were there for him during his trying times. Also survived by relatives and friends.

No prior visitation. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, 5 Saxton St., on Saturday (June 9th) at 1 PM. Interment, Cold Spring Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Allen J. Lang, passed peacefully on March 17, 2023. He was born in Lockport, NY on May 12, 1971 to Nancy (VanBuren) and the late John Lang.

Allen attended schools in Clarence and worked in various aspects of construction.   He loved living on the old family farm, where he especially enjoyed being outdoors and four-wheeling. He was a good and loyal friend to all and had the memory of an elephant.

Beloved son of Nancy (Van Buren) Lang; loving brother of Anita (Jeff) Cummings; cherished uncle of Brittany (Zach) Sucrese and Hunter; fond great uncle of Zander. He is predeceased by his father, John Lang.
