NORTH TONAWANDA Jan. 4. —
Henry Zaggel, 63 years old. died Tuesday
morning at his home, 84 Falconer
Street, after a month's Illness. H.e was
formerly associated with the Enter-
prlso Lumber Compainy and was a mem-
ber of the Workmen's Sick and Death
Benefit Fund. He is survlved by a wife,
three sons. Carl, Roy and George Zagel
all of North Tonawanda; four
daughters, Mrs. Roy Carroll of North
Tonawanda, Mrs. Walter Ferguson of
La Salla and the Misses Endres and
Lucille Zaggel of North Tonawanda;
three brothers, William Zaggel of Geneva,
lnd., and George and Fred Zag-
gel of North Tonawanda; a sister. Mrs.
Orvllle Carney of Tonawanda and five
grandchildren.

Henry married DEUTSCHMANN, Helena Mary in 1893 in New York. Helena (daughter of DEUTSCHMANN and Katharina) was born in May 1875 in Prussia; died on 16 May 1930 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Carroll, 79. of 557 Payne Ave.,
North Tonawanda, Sunday
(March 4, 1973) at DeGraff
Memorial Hospital after a brief
illness.
A native of North Tonawanda,
she was a member of North
Presbyterian Church Mrs.
Carroll was the daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Zaggel
and mother of Robert R. Carroll
who died in 1966.
She is survived by her
husband, Roy F. Carroll; two
daughters. Miss Dorothy H.
Carroll of North Tonawanda
and Mrs, John (Jeanette)
Drenocky of Tonawanda; two
sisters. Mrs. Walter Ferguson
of Cambridge, N.Y.. and Mrs.
J.W. Smith of Warren. Pa., and
three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be
conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday.
March 11, 1973 at North Presbyterian
Church, North Tonawanda,
by the Rev. Frank E.
Wright. Friends are cordially
invited. No prior visitation.
Memorials may be made to

Carl F. Zaggel, 52, a lifelong
resident of North Tonawanda,
died this morning in a Gowanda
hospital. He was a member of
the Live Hose company, North
Tonawanda Lodge, No. 860, B.P.
O.E., and a former employe of
the Allan Herschell Amusement
Company. Surviving are four sisters,
Mrs Roy Carroll and Mrs.
Walter Ferguson of North Tonawanda,
Mrs. Jay Smith of Warren,
Pa., and Mrs. Stanley Tingue
of Gowanda, and two brothers,
George W. and LeRoy C. Zaggel
of North Tonawanda. Rites will
be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from
the home of Mrs. Carroll, 557
Payne Ave. The Rev. Joseph
Shipman will officiate. Burial
will be in Sweeney cemetery.

Roy Zaggel, 69, of 40 Carruthers
St., died today (June 8, 1970)
in Kenmore Mercy Hospital
after a short illness.
He was a lifelong resident of
this city and a member of the
North Tonawanda Firemen's
Benevolent Association. He ws
formerly employed by the
Wurlitzer Co., retiring in 1952.
Survivors include his wife, the
former Mable Cauda; a son,
LeRoy Zaggel Jr., Willowhert,
N.J.; a daughter, Mrs. Robert
Fire, Chesapeake, Va.; two
sisters, Mrs. Roy Carroll, this
city, and Mrs. Jay Smith, of
Warren, Pa. Also surviving are
nine grandchildren and eight
great-grandcbildren.
Funeral services will be held
at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the
Wattengel Funeral Home, the

The funeral of Archibald Zaggel, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Zaggel of No.
48 Falconer street, who was drowned
in the Erie canal Saturday will be
held at the late home at 2 o'clock
tomorrow afternoon. Rev. W. F. Scoular
of the North Presbyterian church
officiating. Interment will be made in
the Sweeney cemetery.

Tonawanda, died Friday (Jan.
31, 1964) at Kenmore Mercy
Hospital shortly after birth. Be-
sides his parents, he is survived
by three brothers, Guy, David
and Daniel; five sisters, Mrs.
David Fahmer, Mrs. Scott But-
let and the Misses Marie, Gen-
evieve and Jacqueline Fire, all
of North Tonawanda, and his
grandparents, Guy Fire and Mr.
and Mrs. LeRoy Zaggel, also of
North Tonawanda. A mass of the
Angels was celebrated this morn-
ing at 9 o'clock in Ascension
Church. The Rev. Francis J.
Hunt officiated. Burial was in
Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
