MIDDI.FPORT. Aug. 26 - William Hintz, Wolcottsville, died yesterday at the home of his sister, Mrs. Henry Mietz, Wolcottsville. Besides his sister, he is survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call tonight and Thursday evening at the Wallace and Heath Funeral home, Middleport. She was born Nov. 15, 1879, in Walmore, the daughter of Herman and Minnie Haseley Hintz. She had lived in Niagara County throughout her life and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville. Her husband died in 1955. PEKIN. Feb. 2 - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Werth. who died at the home of her son, Philip Werth. of the Lockport road, on Sunday, were held at the home of her son. Philip, on Tuesday. Mrs. Werth was born August 16, 1859. Besides her husband. William, she is survived by another son and one daughter, Paul Werth and Mr William Schultz, town of Pendleton; two step-sons and one stepdaughter, Benjamin Werth, town of Cambria; Edward Werth, town of Wheatfield, and Mrs. John Schraeder, Upper Mountain road, and also by 10 grandchildren. The Rev. Schmidt, pastor of St Andrews Lutheran church, had charge of the services at the home at 1:30 o'clock and at the church at 2:30 o'clock. Mrs. Schmidt and Miss Margaret Schraeder sang "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" at the house and 'For Me to Live Is Jesus" at the church. The Lockport native was the daughter of Rudolph and Rosa (Hintz) Mietz. She was the widow of Kenneth B. Halstead, who died July 31, 1985. She had lived in Holley for a year. LOCKPORT — Howard Mietz, formerly of Lockport, NY, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012, after a short illness. Born on November 15, 1924 in Lockport, NY, he was the son of the late Rudolph and Rose Hintz Mietz. He was married to Geraldine Groff Mietz in June 26, 1954, and she passed away December 19, 1999. He was employed as a Test Experimental Technician for Delphi for 30 years, retiring February of 1988. He served in WWII in the Asiatic Pacific Campaign in McArthur headquarters from 1944 to 1946, and achieved T5 rank. He was discharged from service as 795 Military Police December 31, 2006. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and woodworking, gardening. He was also a member of the Gasport "Jet Set".

He is survived by son, Timothy Mietz; granddaughters, Karrie Mietz of Buffalo and Courtney Mietz of Lockport; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, Ferdinand, Alvin, George; sister, Hazel (Kenneth) Halstead. Also predeceased by a good friend, Dorothy Wall of Lockport.

Doris H. Marker passed away after a brief illness on May 8, 2014 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born in Pendleton, NY on February 15, 1929, she was the daughter of the late William and Esther Werth Schultz.
Doris graduated Lockport High School in June 1946, received her RN from Millard Fillmore Hospital School of Nursing in September 1949. She worked at Lockport Memorial Hospital for 33 years, retiring in 1982. She also worked at St. Clare Manor for many years in Lockport, and volunteered at Niagara Hospice. Doris enjoyed playing cards, knitting and crocheting and was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Doris married LeRoy E. Marker on November 24, 1949. Sadly, he passed August 2, 1985. She is also predeceased by her siblings, Howard Schultz and Mabel Weyers.
Doris is survived by her sons, James (Nancy) Marker of Port St. Lucie, FL and David (Helen) Marker of Lockport; grandmother of Timothy (Gina) Marker, Heather (Andrew) Rosenberg of Lockport, Jason (Esther) Marker, Shaun (Maria) Marker, Jonathan (Kristen) Marker, Joshua (Kristen) Marker. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Michael and Hannah Marker, Madisen, Matthew and Benjamin Rosenberg, Zoe Marker, Mason and Elliot Marker.

Werth, 69, was born in Niagara Falls and lived on Lockport Road all his life.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946 as a machinist's mate third class and received the American Theater Medal, Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon.
Werth worked for the Operating Engineers Local for many years before retiring in 1988.
A fruit farmer, he was known at the North Tonawanda farmers market and had a stall there for several years.
Werth was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lockport, the American Legion of Friendship, the National Rifle Association and Seabee Island X-8 of the Niagara Frontier, City of Tonawanda.
His first wife, Carol Ann Volkstadt Werth, died in 1975.
Survivors include his wife, the former Catherine "Kitty" Schaar-London; a son, Claude L. "Rusty" of Lockport; his mother, the former Edna Mudd of Lockport; four stepdaughters, Christine Laufer of Sanborn, Beth Madison and Katherine Carter, both of Peoria, Ariz., and Sally Jones of Richmond, Va.; a brother, Leo of Lockport; a sister, Beatrice Daigler of Lockport; 10

Leo I. Werth, of the Town of Cambria, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016. He was born in Lockport, NY, on May 26, 1928, the son of the late Philip and Edna [Mudd] Werth.

Mr. Werth grew up on his family farm, which he took over and ran. He was also a truck driver for R.L. Gaude in Lockport, for many years, before retiring and was a member of the Teamsters Union. Mr. Werth's passion was his horses, raising, showing and riding them was one of his favorite pass times. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going to auctions and being in the out of doors.

Mr. Werth is survived by his wife of 65 years Betty J. [Kidder] Werth, one son Douglas (Linda) Werth of Gasport, one daughter Darlene (Gary Wilkins) Werth of the Town of Cambria, a granddaughter LaceyJo (Kyle) Craig, a great granddaughter RylynnJo Craig, sister Beatrice (Donald) Daigler, a sister in law Kitty Werth, also many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of late Claude Werth.

His family will be present on Saturday from 10-12:00 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, with the Rev. Charles Jennings officiating.

Mrs. Daigler was actively involved with her families fruit farm throughout her life.
She was a 4-H Leader with the Niagara County horse department for many years and enjoyed attending and participating in area horse shows.
Mrs. Daigler was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda.
She was the wife of the late Donald J. Daigler, Sr., who passed away in February of 2018.
Mrs. Daigler is survived by her son Donald (Penny) Daigler, a grandson Todd (Kristen) Daigler, two great grandsons Jackson and James, also many nieces and nephews.
