August Warblow, 74 years old, died Sunday night at his home on Nash road, town-of Wheatfield, after a lingering illness. He was born in Germany. He has been a resident of the town of Wheatfield for more than 40 years. He is survived by his wife, Amelia, five sons, Gustav, Albert and Herman of North Tonawanda and August and William of Wheatfield, and two daughters Mrs. George Fromm of Buffalo and Miss Amelia Warblow of Wheatfield. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock from the residence and half an hour later at St, John’s church, Rev. Walter Thiemecka officiating. Burial will be at St. Johnsburg.

North Tonawanda - Albert H Warblow, 87, of 82 Felton St, died Wednesday ( Dec 16, 1970) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was a member of St Mark's Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Laymen League of the church. He was employed by the former Buffalo Bolt Co for 57 years. Survivors include three sons, Lester H, Glenwood A and Howard S Warblow. two daughters, Mrs Ralph (Doris) Lowstetter and Mrs LeGrand (Arlene) Harms, all of this city, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was born in the Town of Wheatfield and was a resident of this city for the last 59 years. He was an employ of the Buffalo Bolt Co for 58 years retiring in 1957. He was a member of St Mark's Lutheran Church. Lester H. Warblow, 92, formerly of Pine Street, North Tonawanda, died Saturday (Dec. 5, 1998) in Crestwood Health Care Facility, Wheatfield, where he had been a patient since May 21, 1997.
Warblow was born in North Tonawanda. He worked for the New York Central Railroad from 1923 to 1971. He was a member of Local 36, Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen.
After his retirement, Warblow spent much of his time refinishing furniture and caning chairs.
He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, North Tonawanda, and the Lutheran Laymen's League.
Survivors include a son, David; a brother, Glenwood; and a sister, Arlene Harms, all of North Tonawanda; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Redeemer Lutheran Church, Thompson and Falconer streets, North Tonawanda. Burial will be in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield.

WARBLOW - Robert Glenwood 82, of Etowah, NC, passed away June 20, 2014, after a lengthy illness. He was born on December 23, 1931 in North Tonawanda, NY to the late Glenwood and Edna Schroeder Warblow. He was the brother of the late James Warblow of North Tonawanda, NY. Robert is survived by his wife Dorothy Ann Keenan Warblow of Etowah, NC; a nephew, Robert Snyder; a great-nephew, Daniel Snyder and a great-niece Renee Snyder all of Tonawanda, NY. After graduating North Tonawanda High School, Robert received a degree in Interior Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. He then joined the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. After the service he attended the University of Colorado at Denver and received a Masters Degree in Design. Interior Design was not just a job to Robert, it was something he loved. His clients were not just customers, but friends. He worked in interior design for 50 years before retiring. His work took him all over the United States and Canada. Robert loved to travel and meet new people. He loved the theater and classical music. Robert was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Hendersonville, NC, where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on July 16, 2014 to celebrate his life. AMHERST - James D. Warblow, of North Tonawanda, NY, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2014, in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst, NY.

He was born in North Tonawanda, NY, on June 4, 1936, a son of the late Glenwood and Edna (Schroeder) Warblow.

Mr. Warblow was a self-employed wielder, working for various businesses in the area for the past 60 years.

He was a member of the Jim Hurtubise's pit crew for many years and was a member of the Free Wheelers Car Club.

Mr. Warblow enjoyed restoring antique automobiles making them into street rods and was an avid sportsman.

He was the husband of the late Carilyn (DeNeau) Warblow and father of the late Linda A. Snyder.

Mr. Warblow is survived by his son-in-law, Robert M. Snyder of North Tonawanda, NY; two grandchildren, Daniel and Renee Snyder; a sister- in-law, Dorothy Warblow; his dear friend, Joan Pfister. He is also survived by many cousins and friends. He was the brother of the late Robert Warblow.

The family will be present on Monday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held at 8:00 PM, with the Rev. Ronald Keaton officiating. Jack was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the U.S. Navy as a pipe-fitter. he later worked for Bell Aerosystems, Harrison Radiator, in Lockport, New York.

Audrey Margaret Johnson, age 71 of the Town of Lewiston, NY, was called to her heavenly home, unexpectedly at her residence, on June 8, 2022. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on November 26,1950; daughter of the late Adolph and Margaret (Warblow) Pfohl. A lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore, where over the years,she held various positions at the church, loved volunteering at the school, and was also the treasurer for the church and school. Audrey enjoyed crocheting, playing games on Kindle, attending her grandchildren's sporting events, and loved her two cats.Survivors include her daughter, Kylene (Dave) Hershberger; three grandchildren, Kierstyn, Michael and Brian; and a brother, Calvin (Patricia) Pfohl; many nieces and nephews, including Sherry (Kevin) DeVantier, Cindy (Niel) DeVantier, Diana (Bill) Sacher, Daniel Pfohl; and great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Ann Miller.Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Sunday (June 12) from 4-7 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Randy Kaminska, on Monday (June 13) at 4:00 p.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY 14132. Interment will take place in the church cemetery on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran School. The family request for those attending, to wear bright colored clothing, in recognition of the celebration of Audrey's life.

MARJORIE ANN MILLER, age 76 of Wheatfield, NY, was called to her heavenly home on March 23, 2022 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born April 26, 1945 in Niagara Falls, NY; daughter of the late Adolph and Margaret (Warblow) Pfohl. A lifelong member of St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church, Sanborn, she attended St. Peter's Lutheran School, and graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School. Marjorie was employed as an insurance agent, with Stevens Insurance Agency, until her retirement. She enjoyed the special times spent with her family, and her dog Bailey.Preceded in death by her husband, Norman C. North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 6/6/1972

The Town of Tonawanda recorded its
third swimming pool death in 16 days
last night when 2-year-old David M.
Buchanan, son of Mr and Mrs. Charles
H. Buchanan, 3000 Eggert Road,
drowned in the family swimming pool.
Two brothers, Thomas V., 17. and
Victor S. Lazzaro Jr., 15, of 19
Deumant Terrace, were electrocuted
May 21 while cleaning a pool in their
backyard.
Police said the body of the Buchanan
boy was discovered by his
father about 7 p.m. floating face down
in the circular above-ground pool The
family had just finished eating dinner
and the boy was left unattended for a
few minutes.
Mr. Buchanan pulled the boy from
the 3-foot deep water and a neighbor.
Norman H. Scheurich, called police.
David was taken to Kenmore Mercy
Hospital where he was pronounced
dead upon arrival. A certificate of
death due to accidental drowning has
been issued. The boy apparently
climbed to the top of the pool despite
the presence of other children in the
yard.
David is survived by three sisters
and four brothers ranging in age from
four months to 13 years. Other
survivors are his maternal
grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. LaVerne
Fromm, Town of Tonawanda. and
several aunts and uncles
Funeral arrangements are
incomplete at this time and are being
handled by the Dietrich Funeral Home.
